Check out their new store in Braelinn near Kmart. The owner and staff is great. Steve has been an amazing mentor to me and my kids for 7 yrs. His spin classes and cycling knowledge is amazing. They have group rides for the beginner up to the advanced rider. Steve and Brad can custom build you anything. They will order anything they don’t have in stock. Their layaway is awesome. I have bought new, used and built very many bikes from them. They are the real deal when it comes to cycling. They won’t sell you things you don’t need. The new store is AMAZING!!! Stop in and see Brad, Steve, Jr, and Sean great bunch of guys.

I am an enthusiast rider that is losing weight and preparing to buy a carbon frame road bike. Giant bicycles has been on my radar while doing my homework on which bike to switch for. Many people have recommended the Giant Defy series for long rides. But I’ve built a relationship with a local store that sells different bikes. That said I wanted me wife to look at the Avail series and we came expecting to do a quick test ride and take notes.
What we got was so above our expectations. First. I am not local. So I’ve never visited this shop before and may not again unless we tour through the area. Second my wife is a petite woman rider. She has to deal with everything that involves which includes most manufacturers thinking that all she needs is a shorter seat tube. She had tried out a Felt bike and a Scott bike and wondered why they all felt wrong.
Bicycles Unlimited had someone on staff the day we came in that was had encyclopedic knowledge of all thinks cycling. He did not talk over us or talk down to us. He gauged our knowledge and talked at our level. He made me feel that he not only sold Giant bikes but that he was proud that he got to sell the bikes. We learned about Liv and what they do for women cyclists. My wife checked the fit of an Avail 48 cm bike but they did not have a 43 cm in stock. I did not want to have the store order one on our account but I got the feeling that they would have.
I have never been so sad to a small business not be local in my life. If I could, I would’ve put the store in my check luggage and brought them home. Because of this shop my wife now knows what a proper bike feels like. She’s no longer dreading a road bike (she was because they all felt too large in the torso) thinking that we’re going to be spending thousands of dollars and that she won’t enjoy our roadies. The next time I am able to, I am going to find an 800 number and call Giant and just tell them how well this store represented their brand. My wife has since test road a Ruby and she is still leaning towards an Avail Advanced. Before coming in, she was leaning towards Ruby.
This shop is the real deal. Come in and talk to the team and test out a bike. Chat. Learn about the store and the bikes they sell. Women riders, ask about Liv cycling. I was so impressed that I may remember this store when the wife and I are ready to start touring and start a tour from the Atlanta area just so I can buy a touring bike from them!

We were in from out of town and stopped here on a whim with a bit of time to kill. Now understand, we bike a lot and have visited lots of bike shops in different cities. This place literally redefined a five star bike shop in my mind. The experience we had was so far above any bike shop we’ve visited that they weren’t even in the same ballpark.
The gentleman who helped us had what could only be described as an encyclopedic knowledge of bikes. I was schooled on the finer points of bike manufacturing, bike riding, bike fitting (critical as a petite rider), and almost any other question I asked and a few I didn’t know I should have been asking.
Before coming to BU I tried out at least 3 different road bikes in various stores and brands. In every case I found them to be uncomfortable even though the shop owners insisted that the bikes were the correct size for me. Each owner told me that it was a matter of ‘getting used to it’. I was willing to believe that, but kept waiting for the bike that said ‘take me home’ after I put a leg over it. Enter the Giant Avail. The salesperson described the ways that Giant builds bikes specifically designed for female riders rather than assuming they are just shorter men. Even on a bike that might not have been a perfect fit (I’m between a S and XS frame size) I could tell the difference immediately. No overreaching to get to the too-​wide handlebars. A frame size that fit. I know the salesperson would gladly have ordered me an XS bike to try and spent as long as needed to help me feel like I made the right decision and liked the fit of the bike. If this shop was anywhere in Phoenix they would be our preferred local shop in a hurry. As it is, I’m sad they aren’t local.

This Peachtree City, Ga., store is a very customer service-​oriented, friendly company for the novice to the most experience cyclists. The store employees offer excellent advice on the right bikes for the right style of riding. The store employees handle repairs, help you identify the right equipment you need — even when you’re not sure, and they even make recommendations for excellent bike paths around the country. There’s a boardwalk path in San Diego that I will soon try on my next trip.
