Had a very good sandwich(mixed Italian) here as I pulled off the freeway to grab a beer and some dinner. Bread is excellent, meat is good and appropriately portioned, and condiments are just fine. The pickles are diced, which seems to be a Mass thing. I’d definitely stop again… these guys are quick, tasty, appropriately priced, and as a bonus, there’s a beer store next door to complete the meal!

Come hear every time we visit this area. The cheese steaks are always great. They give you a big and very tasty sandwich for your money. Tried the roast beef on this visit also and that was also very good. Onion rings not great, do not recommend them.

I moved to Colorado 10 years ago. Work sent me back to Boston and this was defiantly one of my stops. I love the sandwiches and the price! Nothing has changed!

I recalled from years ago that Sunrise made a good Eggplant sub, and that their subs were HUGE! Before healing over and dying of hunger, we slammed on the breaks on Route 1 and made it into the parking lot of Sunrise. Yes, the subs were still huge as I remembered(XL almost 2 feet long for only $ 7.50!), but the eggplant was like a bad dream. Not what I remembered… The thick slices of eggplant, hardly breaded, seemed as if they had been simmering all day in a pot of oil — so much so that while I ate the sandwich, what didn’t absorb already into the huge sub bulky roll, trickled off to form a puddle of oil — yikes! With no exaggeration, I felt like there was yet again another strong possibility of me healing over and dying — but this time of a looming stomach ache. Gurgle, gurgle. My mouth felt like it needed a good soap bath to rinse off all the oils, as did my arteries. Bummer! A disappointment to a once good food memory. Hopefully they can hang on by their other subs, as this particular one did not do this place any justice.

Don’t get the chicken salad. Ever. But that’s pretty much all that I wouldn’t get. These people know how to fry things. The oil must be really hot and really fresh because everything comes out crispy and not greasy. The have the best steak fries evereverever. Seriously. Order them. Eat them. Thank me later. Try the chicken parm sandwich on a bulky roll. The bulkies are big… the medium subs are giant… and the large subs are GINORMOUS. Oh, the pizza’s pretty good too.
