First off let me start by saying I will never be coming here again. I woke the fuck up and I was obviously craving bagel world. So I drove my typical fucking 25 minute route to the store on Newbury street in Peabody. I walked in and I was pleasantly surprised that the line was so fucking short. finally it’s my turn to place my order and this foreign owl looking motherfucker asks me what I want. I tell her I want an onion bagel with garlic and herb fucking cream cheese. She proceeds to move at record breaking speed to slap on a mound of cream cheese before I could tell that cunt I wanted it toasted. So I politely said«mam I wanted that toasted«. She looks at me with devil eyes and says you asshole I can only toast one half. She then stormed off to a secret room and disappeared for 15 fucken minutes. She comes back with 86 frozen sausage patties and no bagel. She does the 40 yard dash back to the room and calls me stupid. Help me lord I will send that bitches unhygienic ass through that toaster she’ll come out looking like a burnt piece of pumpernickel fucken toast. I will never be back again, and neither will the bitch who took my fucken order. On the bright side the finished product was so tasty :-)

My husband and I went to bagel world on Rt 1 on Saturday. We got the roast beef on an onion bagel with jalapeños cream cheese. It was delicious! Definitely worth giving it a try!

Bagels are great, wide variety of flavors. I prefer mine with veggie cream cheese. My Husband likes the jalapeño cream cheese. The drive thru has failed more than once at my «toasted extra» request. Saturday morning at 11:00AM, I timed my wait/whole trip. Line was back to the door. Started timer as walked in, Ordered 12 different bagels plus the 2 cream cheeses. Walked out the door less than 7 minutes later. Not bad. I’ve been to both locations, many times and at different times of the day. There is always a wait. Good for them for running a popular business!

Great bagels but horrendous customer service. I stopped going here months ago due to the crappy customer service. They give you a hard time about using credit cards, ignore customers to have conversations among themselves, they’re slow with preparing orders & in general have a pretty poor attitude. I’d rather get an OK bagel quickly & easily elsewhere than wait in the lines here.

Love bagel world but this is by far the worse. Went their twice this week and both times they messed up my bagel making me come all the way back! no apologies no offer a free drink or anything the worse customer service did I mention it’s always the same lady at the drive through that screws up

My favorite is the turkey sandwich bagel on an everything bagel! It is so delicious with the veggies/cream cheese combo. The cream cheese and bagels themselves are totally worth the trip. I have never had a bad experience. This location is actually less busy than the reading one!

I’ve been eating Bagel World since I was a little kid and the bagels here are absolutely delicious! The spinach one is the best hands down. The cream cheese is good, but the downside is that the drive thru usually takes forever and they run out of bagels often. Once we went inside and it was faster then the drive thru which was unusual. But overall they taste the same as New York bagels!

Girl called me an asshole for asking for 1 bagel toasted and 2 not. She burned the first one but that’s not a biggie. She was pissed she had to redo it. I LOVE their bagels though. They are the best I have ever had in MA. The people there just suck. Plain and simple no excuses. They are exceptionally rude.

4 stars because the product is more important to me than the service in a to go style place. Good prices too. Best bagels I’ve had north of Boston. Really bad service. More specifically = the attitude of the workers is poor. I’ve been going here for years and have just accepted that there will be grumpy women serving me, no big deal. However, last week, with my bagels I asked for cream cheese to go for the first time. She asked me what size and I used my hands to show her the size of the container, not knowing the oz amounts that they offer. I checked the bag before I left and told her that I wanted the larger size. Her response = «that’s the size you asked for, NEXT». I’ll be back again for the bagels. Hope I don’t get her again though. Must be a family business to keep employees like that for this long.

I came here in the morning while waiting for car repairs at Baystate Muffler. There was a notable line, but it did seem to move at an acceptable rate. I ended up getting 6 bagels(2 chocolate chips, 1 vegatable, 1 poppy, 1 everything, 1 french toast), 2 ½ pound cream cheese(1 vegetable, 1 lox spread), and a pumpkin spice coffee. The service was much better than the other Unilocal reviews suggested. The cashier took great effort to get my order right(they asked me several times to confirm each thing I was getting), so perhaps they caught on to the complaints. The pumpkin spice coffee was good(not the best I’ve had, but acceptable). The bagels were amazing, particularly the chocolate chip! The only exception was the everything bagel, which was mostly a sesame seed bagel with a sprinkling of other things. It was fun to watch the guy in the back stir and shovel the bagels out throughout the day. The vegetable spread was good, but the lox spread was just excellent(I like lox spreads in general)! A good amount of salmon that gave it an excellent flavor! I enjoyed the experience and would return if I am in the area.

Who ever is complaining about the service at this location probably hasn’t visited the Bagel World in Reading, because Reading BW is the epitome of abysmal service. I will actually drive to this one because the line moves a lot faster, and the employees seem nice. The bagels of course are amazing/fresh/delicious as always. The only bad thing I will say is that when you ask for a bagel toasted with butter, they really skimp on the butter. Next time I’ll probably ask for extra.

Best bagels in town. Always a long wait but 100% worth it. Good for breakfast or lunch. Great prices too! I recommend the garlic and herb cream cheese on an everything bagel!

For bagels on the Northshore, this is the place. The bagels are fresh and crunchy. My wife and I eat two or three right out of the bag on the ride home. They are so much better than Dunkin or Honeydew, but not quite as good as Katz in Chelsea. You even get a thirteenth bagel when you order a dozen(brings me back to my childhood). The sandwiches, when they get it right, are very good. But there’s the rub… service is horrible. Orders are regularly wrong, the attitude of the help is truly un-customer friendly. The owners, who have several locations, should invest the time in training the staff. Because you are the only game in town doesn’t mean you can take your customers for granted. Yes, your bagels are better than the competition, but I’ll take lesser quality for respectable service.

Long line, which didn’t bother me. VERY rude staff, which did. Saw a server that looked like she just rolled out of bed yell repeatedly at a customer to hurry up. Didn’t see a polite interaction from a single staff member. I won’t be back. Edit: and I just got to my car and see my order is wrong.

I’m going to make this review short, because it’s very conflicting for me to write because it involved people more then good. I love this place, I love the food, I love the bagels, their cream cheese is so amazing, their bagels in the morning are hot and fresh, their iced cappuccino is smooth and their sandwiches and deli meats are fresh and tasty. I’m not going to complain that they are packed, it’s not their fault and if you have that complain, go somewhere else, if you can afford to wait, it’s worth it. Having said all these positives, going here is like going to a McDonald’s with slow service except their prices are high. They always screw up my sandwich and I get a BLT on a plain toasted bagel with mayo, a monkey could put that together. They are not the nicest people. If you hand them something back as an issue they end up charging you for the mistake, even if it’s a dollar(which is fair but most establishments don’t do that if it’s their mistake) It’s a shame because I was excited when this one opened up because the one next to the Mall is great and packed with great workers. Peabody is just below the mark. Please step up the customer service and double check the orders. But keeps those chocolate chip bagels rolling my way.

Great food, but TERRIBLE service! The staff there are extremely rude. You almost feel badly about going there because they make you feel as though you showing up is an inconvenience to them. On the bright side, their bagels are great quality and their cream cheese is very delicious.

fresh bagels Good luck coming on weekends this place gets packed because it’s the only place to go for fresh bagels. Bagels are fresh so that a good. If you want meat on a bagel-witch they’re gonna microwave it –1 star Long wait times –1 star Overall experience –1 star This may seem like a harsh review but this place is way overrated and since they have no real competition there’s no where else to go for fresh bagels

Love the bagels here and always stop in when i’m in the area. I will say the line can be overwhelming at times and the service leaves a lot to be desired. I will echo what many other reviewers have said of this location… There has to be a better method than the person ringing you up making your food too. Makes no sense!!! In the words of Wanda Sykes… GETITTOGETHERBABY!

They have very fresh and great flavored bagels which are cooked daily if not several times throughout the day: Wildberry, Chocolate Chip,(THISISMYGOTOBAGEL) Pumpernickel, Onion, Spinach, Multigrain, Plain, Rye, Cinnamon Raisin,(HAS A VERYGOODTASTE) Sesame, Egg, Salt, Garlic, Everything, Poppy, French Toast, Whole Wheat, Vegetable, Bagel Energy Bar, Marble They have so many different flavors or cream cheese: Plain Scallion VEGETABLE(FILLEDWITHSOMSNVEGGIES!) Garlic & Herb Jalapeño Lite Strawberry Lite Hummus Walnut Raisin Olive Pimiento Lite Lox Spread Several are available in lite variety as well. They have different coffees, frozen drinks, egg sandwiches and chicken, tuna and egg salad to name a few. I always have been happy with my purchases although if you are in a rush in the AM, either leave a few minutes early as the drive thru line can get lengthy even though they do all they can you keep car moving or park and go inside to place your order. I have never been inside the building which is a converted MINI automotive dealership so. I can’t speak to the cleanliness factor but sometimes the less you know the better. I believe they now have 4 locations and they do offer catering services.
