Tara’s threading & Hair Salon

Walked In and got my brows threaded! Super nice and friendly! Cash only to remember your money :-) I only had 7 $ and Tara was very understanding ! Can’t wait to bring my boyfriend for his 9 $ men’s hair cut! My brows look amazing I can’t wait to keep going to see how they perfect!

I’ve known Tara for years. She’s always been friendly and accommodating. This is the only place I get my eyebrows done and she does then perfectly.

Found this salon right here on Unilocal — not too far from home– good Saturday hours — good reviews — brows and hair cut /​style all in one place… figured I would give this one a shot!
Tara (pronounced Tar-​a) was an absolute sweetheart who made me feel comfortable right away.
Her salon moved to this location on power road almost 8 months ago. She is the salon owner and has 1 hair station. At first that put me off — but once I was in her chair — I realized it just meant lots of one on one attention.
I called ahead then went in right away without an appointment. I found out after that she normally does hair during the week and does eyebrows on the weekend since that is what the local market demands. She pre warned me (before I came down) that she could definitely give me the cut, straighten and style I was looking for but that I must be ok her possibly having to wait on an eyebrow client here or there — Hey, I’m getting one stop shopping with no appointment — who am I to protest?! But I definitely appreciated her being straight up about it from the start!
This is not a modern, posh salon — it’s more
Shabby-​chic — but tasteful. There are tons of mirrors which keeps it bright but mellow in there.
Tara did my brows first — they were a mess but she made them beautiful again and her technique of threading and how she has you hold your upper lid — made it seem to be less painful than what I had become accustomed too, which was nice!
She even offered to add brow pencil to help my normally brown /​blond and sparse brows stand out (in a good way)!
She showed me where and how to apply it. You can buy the pencils from her if you’d like — I did! I got a lesson and a new brow pencil for 4 bucks! Yay!
My hair did end up slightly shorter than how I had instructed but It looks so much healthier now, has layers and she did a great job straightening it and then curling all the ends.
All in all I found this salon to be a friendly and relaxed atmosphere that has a proprietor that really cares about customer satisfaction !
She also sells those awesome Indian anklets with the bells on them!
Definitely awesome eyebrows! She does tons of men’s cuts (no line ups — I asked just because I was curious) Stop by and judge for yourself!

This place has been open across the way from me for a while and I’ve never went in. I’m usually a spur of the moment person for a haircut and not into appointments. I walked in and Tara was with another guest, she told me when she could take me and when I came back she as ready. Very clean and calming environment and Tara was personable and kind. I had a pleasant experience. She listened to what I wanted done to my hair and did just that. She also gave me tips for my eyebrows and I plan on going to see her in a few weeks.
