Papa John’s Pizza

The quality of Papa John’s pizzas have fallen significantly over the years. A decade ago, the pizzas were absolutely delicious, not only were the pizzas thick with a nice crust and topped with toppings but it had a really great tasting sauce. I don’t know what’s happened the past 5 years? The pizzas are no longer good. It’s almost like they are now massed produced crap.
When I ordered a pizza from this particular store, I had no problem with the service. I ordered it online and was able to get it quick. But the pizza I got? It was almost tasteless. The crust was thin, the cheese and sauce tasted really bland. Even the toppings had little taste to them (that is the little amount of toppings I was given). What was the best part about the pizza? The garlic sauce that came with the pizza. I dipped my crust in the garlic sauce and that was the only thing that gave my pizza any flavor.
I would highly recommend Domino’s over Papa John’s. Domino’s has improved over the years with better ingredients and a more diverse menu while Papa John’s has gone in the opposite direction and has declined greatly in quality.

Okay, okay, it has been a while since I have had Papa Johns pizza. So this review is based primarily on my past experiences. So here we go.
First, I never ordered any pepper but they put one on the side. Not necessary. As well as, garlic butter, not what I ordered.
Second, the pizza was meh. Not necessarily the worst I have had but shows that local mom and pop places are much more superior.
If you want pizza on a game night, order from somewhere else. Completely mediocre.

Ordered two pizzas last night and had them delivered. They came fast and hot so great service there. Other than that they were just flat out gross. I remember trying Papa Johns years ago and loving it. Obviously the quality has dropped to improve profits. They must have done this right after they raised the price. My food was expensive and was crap. The crust was in the realm of acceptable. The sauce most likely came from a can and they forgot to cook it. The cheese reminds me of the old Domino’s cheese. You can take it off the pizza in one piece if you want. And you should. Lets not even waste time on the toppings discussion. So 90% of the pizza is on the way to the landfill. The rest made me ill.

The worst pizza ever. Heard about how great this pizza was and gave it a try. The dough actually had a stale sour taste to it. The 6 cheese combo… what a joke. The meat was like jerky that had no taste. The sauce is almost too sweet. Should have ordered from a local pizzeria in R.I.
