A great little corner joint in Pawtucket. At first it took me a while to find the place, the sign is not very obvious, but when you walk in you have the choice of sitting at the counter or at a table. They have a display of all of their fried corn empanadas for you to check out. I got a Chicharrón and a Beef empanada. The lady asked me if I liked them crispy, well done, soft, etc… That was nice ! I asked for well done empanadas. I liked the Chicharrón one the best… it had a nice taste, bits of pork and well balanced. The beef one was good, but it was a ground-pasty beef mix, which I thought it was good, but not my favorite. The lady told me sometimes they make tuna empanadas(for Lent), they usually have the chicken ones, cheese, etc. A winner ! Cash Only. Most of them range between $ 1.5−1.75.

Great tasting empanadas. Best around town. Very friendly, clean and all cheap reasonable prices. Not to mention they have all different kind of empanadas. I will for sure make my way back to this spot.

Tom’s Restaurant in Pawtucket is no more. :-( But Empanada de Mi Tierra is awesome! I had the beef empanada, and it was so good I had to order another. Andrew had the chicken and enjoyed it too. We split a chicharones. The food was great, hot and fresh and incredibly inexpensive. The owner and his wife are there every day working hard and it’s delicious. For now the menu is limited, but they’ll be expanding that as time passes. People complain that there’s no place to eat in Downtown Pawtucket. Now there is. Go there. Keep them open!
