We’ve been here for brunch a few times so we decided to try it for dinner. It was DELICIOUS! They have a big menu of fun & yummy appetizers(have the avocado rolls!), delicious entrees and a large cocktail menu. We were impressed by the large craft cocktail menu. Their bread was homemade, and the side salad that came with the meal was out of this world. It was a very fun place and the service was great. We will definitely be back for brunch and dinner.

Consistently amazing! I have been to M & D dozens of times and it never disappoints. Tried something different tonight(skirt steak with garlic and cilantro sauce), and it was unbelievable. My husband got the shrimp special and loved it as well. We wished we could’ve saved room for dessert, but we would’ve rolled out of the place if we had. Drinks were amazing as well. Such an extensive list. One of our favorite places in the Hudson Valley.

This is our«go to» place for a really nice, special dinner! We’ve been dining with them for many, many years — and we’ve always been DELIGHTED with every meal we’ve taken there. Wonderful ambience, attentive/professional staff, and fresh, creative and generous sized servings of luscious eats! You can’t go wrong here!

I’ve been stopping there for coffee and a treat for a couple of years. A great place with fresh coffee and baked goods. A must stopping point while on your bike(motorcycle). Went for brunch with my wife and it was tremendous! We will make this a regular brunch, dinner spot. Big portions and fair prices, good staff!

My favorite place in town. Love picking up goodies for breakfast or a special dessert for a dinner party. Great place to take guests too.

Way way way overpriced… it’s Pawling, NY for goodness sakes. I went here with a friend of mine and we sat at the bar. It’s all very trendy for the area and a place you expect to have a $ 12-$ 15 decent meal and a $ 6-$ 7 cocktail. It’s more then that for sure. The food was okay, the service was… merh. The drinks would have been pretty awesome if they had bothered filling my glass at all… it was all ice and straight up leaves put into it with a quarter of the way filled with mostly ginger beer… only for $ 15! Whatta steeeeeeeaaaalllllll. This place is almost cool. The girls in the bakery are very sweet. The décor is cool and industrial and a little rustic. I don’t know, like I said, it’s Pawling…

We had such an amazing brunch that we came back for dinner the same day. Steak and eggs for breakfast– the steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. Crisp and well seasoned on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside. The English muffin was the flakiest, most buttery English muffin I have ever had, and my eggs were perfection. Dinner was just as impressive. The wine list is amazing and reasonably priced. I had a butternut squash soup that had roasted pumpkin seeds, resulting in the most flavorful marriage of roasted nuttiness and sweetness. We ordered the crispy duck wings and OHMYGOODNESS! I may never be able to eat a regular chicken wing again. Our filet mignon… finally a chef that knows that a sauce should not overwhelm a dish but should instead enhance it. Subtle and delicious. Truly a special place. Ambience was warm and beautiful. And the service was impeccable. From the hostess to the bar tender to the waitress and runner. Second to none. Hats off to you guys! A gem in our area!

I stumbled in for breakfast yesterday and within 15 minutes of experiencing the ambiance, my girlfriend and I made dinner reservations. Breakfast was incredible. The entire experience in equal measures – the costumer attention, the physical Ambiance, the food quality and preparation, and the obvious attention to detail – melds into warmly satisfying experience, even for a pain in the A like me. Dinner– the wine list is very impressive. Well organized and expertly selected vintages. A very eclectic menu made it a little difficult to organize my meal around a nice bottle, but that’s the only slight negative I have. The bartender Kelly was expert, and our young waitress Alex was like service ninja – the staff clearly knows what they are doing. I’ll definitely be headed back, probably today :)

One of my favorite restaurants in the area, McKinney and Doyle is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal in a serene, somewhat upscale but unpretentious atmosphere. Other reviewers have mentioned its«class» and I can’t disagree. There is a good selection of menu choices and the food itself is consistently very good, if not amazing or truly special. Don’t miss the«Jerry Aron’s Favorite» which is a cream soup with white wine, shrimp and scallops and to die for. Little touches like rich, strong coffee leave a good impression. Servers are genuinely pleasant and professional. Prices are high-ish, but about what you’d expect for this kind of quality and in this area. I always leave this place happier than when I arrived. Highly recommended.

They are very busy but that’s more a consequence of not much competition in town. Their baked goods and coffee are relatively tasty but a bit overpriced. If you don’t mind the five minute drive, I’d just head south and hit Dunkin instead.

First time here. Went with family who love their brunch. And it didn’t disappoint! Very good selection and reasonable prices. Good mix of breakfast and lunch foods. The space is warm, cozy and charming– lots of exposed brink and wooden booths and tables. Portions were large, food fresh, coffee was very good too I had an asparagus omelette with mozzarella and red pepper. Hubs had Huevos con Rajas. Both came with ‘hash browns’, which are actually potato wedges with onion, peppers and spices and they’re fantastic! Mine also came with large slabs of freshly baked bread — nothing like what you get out of a bag. And fresh fruit, which was a nice mix of berries and melon. So full when we left. But not so full we didn’t take a peek at the fresh baked breads, cakes, sweets and pastries next door at their bakery. Home baked zucchini bread loaves that weighed 5 pounds — those are on my list to bring home next time. And there will be a next time!

There are some nice things about this horrible restaurant. It has more than a hint of charm and the staff is pleasant. But alas, the food. Jeez. A shrimp and scallop soup in «sauterne-leek cream» tasted, sickeningly, like a bowl of just plain cream. I thought about bringing it home for my cat. But I wouldn’t do that to my cat. An overcooked pork chop was doused in an inky sauce that tasted like molasses poured straight from the jar. The lobster risotto wasn’t inedible, but there was that cream again, drowning out the other flavors and making more than a few bites impossible. The final sledgehammer blow? The bill: $ 86 for this slop, without drinks and before tip.

A fine place with wonderful atmosphere and great service. The rating is for the vegetarian menu options. If you(like me) don’t eat meat or fish, this place has little to offer. No tofu, only a salad and an appetizer option. The avocado egg roll is interesting in a strange way, and the coffee is good. Unfortunately I had to go to the Chinese place afterwards down the block for a vegetarian entrée with protein. If you do eat meat or fish, you’ll likely love this place. Good for couples, and friendly staff.

A really delightful surprise while on the road! On the way back from a camping trip, my attorney and I stopped in for lunch and were so pleasantly surprised by both the service and the food in this cozy little burg. The lady had a tuna melt on homemade bread, myself the Jerry’s Favorite Soup(cream soup with shrimp and scallops). Both were worth leaving my wife for. We’ll definitely be back! A delicious(and discrete) getaway.

Went to McKinney and Doyle, had another great meal Went on a Wednesday night, half price bottles of wine, a really great deal We selected the St Francis Chardonnay A perfect wine that matched our dinner selections for that particular day The butter came with the homemade bread on the cutting board The bread do delicious, melt in your mouth… Oh my lord! The house salads, greens with walnuts, pears and blue cheese Satisfies anyone taste buds, a great combination that does definitely please My guest had the Halibut special with rice pilaf touched with broth of lime I could tell she was enjoying, her taste buds were having a wonderful time I had beef filet with mashed potatoes, my old standby Had a side of oriental vegetables which were so tasty, I suggest anyone try Dessert… went to their bakery next door… because we just had no more room Chocolate éclair and a cinnamon bun to bring home, to have with our tea so we could resume. A perfect evening, great service, high quality, so very fine And don’t forget Wednesday nights half price bottle of wine McKinney and Doyle a place so special to me One of my favorites, try it and see.

Great coffee and pasties in the café part. I get black iced coffee every time I visit and I have yet to be disappointed. In their restaurant, the cocktails and entrées are well thought out and properly executed. Only downside is that they can get packed with a persnickety crowd real quick. Still doesn’t stop me from frequenting. For the best(and classiest) bite in town come here.
