This was my first time ordering. I’m impressed with the food. The best Chinese take out ever.

We did takeout from Great Wall II in Pawling for the first time today. We ordered a lot of food, including dim sum, fried dumplings, roast pork lo mein, roast pork fried rice, beef and snowpeas, chicken and chinese vegetables, General Tso’s chicken and hot and sour soup! And we’re really happy! Don’t let the outside appearance disway you! We walked inside to see Grandma and grandson working together to devein/clean a huge pile of fresh snow peas, and were greated by a lovely woman who took our order. The servings were generous. The sauces were deep and delicious in flavor. All of the vegetables were FRESH and not frozen. Dim Sum and meat dumplings were good… nothing super dooper about them, but delicious. The lo mein featured noodles that were a bit thinner than we were used to seeing, but it was well flavored and the noodles weren’t overcooked. The chicken and vegetables was wonderful… chock full of nice big pieces of white meat chicken along with baby corn, carrots, bamboo, chestnuts, and snow peas. The beef and snowpeas also had other vegetables with it and the meat melted in your mouth. My husband is a real hot and sour soup nut — and he’s in HEAVEN! Says it’s the best hot ‘n sour soup he’s EVER had… and he’s 65! Now, The General Tso’s chicken — something I’m very picky about. It was a bit sweeter than some I’ve had, but did have a nice little afterburn. The coating was not as crunchy as I like, but at least it wasn’t mushy like I’ve had it elsewhere. I would give it a b+. Accompanying brown rice(requested) was fluffy and freshly prepared, which was a nice surprise! AND… SHEGAVEUS2FREELITERSOFSODA/TEA OFOURCHOOSING! And fortune cookies, sauces, etc. We would definitely recommend this place again!!! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Decided to try this place since the experience at Peking Kitchen in Wingdale did not leave a good impression. Typical take out chinese place. The food is good and I’ve been back several times. Pricey — but I’ve learned its a bit common here up north :) The ratio of customers compared to a city business is so different, I understand why the price difference. This place doesn’t take any type of plastic(atm/debit cards) — I could not believe it. They don’t deliver either, but I didn’t expect them to deliver to Wingdale anyway. Oh and call in advance to place your oder or you could be there a long time waiting.
