Food: Fantastic. Staff: Friendly and attentive. That’s it for positives. My wife and I drove 3 hrs from Boston to see Kevin Griffin. We bought general admission tickets thinking this venue was general admission. Then when we got here at 5 pm to ensure we got a good seat(show was not until 8), we were told that the tables had to be purchased in advance. Our options were to stand somewhere or sit at the bar(in an adjoining room with a view of the stage). We chose the bar, and again, we’ve been here since 5. However, the bar area is a joke. Many of the people here are not watching the show and are talking very loudly. Also, the music doesn’t travel well in here, so we can’t hear very well or pay attention to the show. It’s a pretty terrible way to watch a guy we drove 3 hours and sat 3 more hours to come and see. Oh well, live and learn I guess.

Went there for Sunday brunch. It was my first time there and my last. The waiter came over and asked us for our orders. We ordered scrambled eggs and bacon and a omelet. I asked the waiter if they offered toast because it was not on the menu. He responded we do not have any bread. I asked what there sandwiches are served on and he said white bread. I asked if some of that white bread could be toasted. He said I’ll ask the chef. We also ordered two coffees. The good came out it looked good but tasted bland. There was two slice of white plain on a small plate not toasted and not buttered. I ask for them to be toasted and buttered. He brings the back toasted with a a few packets of butter that were frozen. The coffees came after we started eating the food and asked a second time for them. Won’t do brunch there again we will go up to McKinney Doyle or farmer and the fish in purdy’s NY.

great venue, good food, reasonable prices. BUT, if they’re going to jam the tables together so closely, maybe hire skinnier waitresses? i was knocked off my seat two dozen times, for crissakes, during a very intimate show. the waitstaff just tramples over everyone right up against the stage, too, during the shows.

Valentine’s Day with Marshall Crenshaw(and my wife!), a perfect night out. Great food — chicken/pineapple app was delicious and Sausage w broc. rabe was great — came quickly couldn’t finish it all. Staff was fantastic from the moment we came till we walked out — hostess, bartender, waitress all very attentive, even security was friendly. Venue was a perfect, nice intimate space with spectacular sound! Crystal clear vocals and guitar at a perfect volume level. All this created an friendly atmosphere, both my wife and I had several fun conversations with other guests prior to and after the show. Looking forward to the next time, already thinking which foodie friends to bring.

I’m not quite sure why Daryl’s House has been getting negative reviews. I was a bit leery about eating there based on a number of the reviews that haven’t given it very high marks. Our experience was very good. We found the food to be very good(we both had the salmon special) and the service was great. The prices are a bit inflated, but nothing crazy. I mean, it is a night out of great music in a cool place. We were seated at a table in the back that’s a bit raised, right in front of the railing. There is a walking area between this section and the main seating area. People are allowed to stand in this walking area and watch the show. Luckily for us, our view was not blocked, however, the hostess should have told us that people may be standing there and given us the option to sit in the main dining area(there were plenty of tables available when we arrived). I would definitely come back and recommend the place.

I just went to my second show here and the music was once again fantastic. However, the food stinks, layout of tables and overall design is pitiful. At a table of five we ordered numerous appetizers and everyone was nothing short of disgusting. I expected so much more and even gave this place a second chance. Not sure I will return.

Visited for the Soul Brunch today, and could not be happier with the experience. Every seat has a great view of the stage, and can hear the performer clearly. Food was excellent. Sound system crystal clear and well managed. Soulia(the singer) and her ensemble were amazing. The service was very good. Daryl has put together a great facility and wonderful staff. Very much worth the trip from anywhere in a 2 hour radius. Be sure to have reservations, especially for Brunch and any lead shows. The restaurant area filled up quickly.

Great time last night at Daryl’s. Service was excellent from the moment we walked in the door. We were there to see Stephen Kellogg and arrived an hour before. Seated in the bar, we weren’t rushed at all and our waiter was funny and informative. Salmon and the pork chops were great entrees along with the Daryl’s Cauliflower. After dinner we moved to stand in the central dining area for the main attraction, and the hostess asked if we’d like to sit. Nice! We will definitely be back, and BTW — Kellogg was awesome!

Daryl’s House is the best music venue in the area! Every last member of the staff here is absolutely outstanding! They are cheerful and welcoming, and truly the foundation of the businesses’ success. :) There are some fantastic bands/solo acts that perform here. I’ve been here maybe 5 times, and every time I have been blown away by the music! I feel very fortunate to see such talented musicians at so nearby a place and for such reasonable prices!(Fri & Sat nights they now have a dj) The space is small & cozy, with fantastic sound! The majority of the space is dedicated to the restaurant, and includes a full bar. The stage is kind of small, but visible from all the tables in the main dining area(a bit hard to see from a couple spots in the bar). The flat screens around the club show the band during live performances, but also show clips from«Live From Daryl’s House» beforehand. If you are a Hall & Oates fan(aka, if you are a human that breathes air), you may be familiar with the webshow, that features Daryl Hall and his band jamming with well-known guest artists to their tunes in a unique style. I have only had food here a couple times, but I really enjoyed the«burgerettes» that included three sliders; chili, peri-peri chicken, and the pork with pineapple slaw is fantastic! P.S. –Call ahead for table reservations-weekends fill up quick! –And, there is a private lot for parking. However, if the lot is full, you can park at the car wash next door, but definitely NOT the place across the street! Multiple people warned that being towed is basically a guarantee.

They don’t care about their customers… I bought tickets for a show a month before it was scheduled to happen. Unfortunately, on the night of the show was a huge blizzard and travel was banned in Putnam County because of the dangerous conditions. I called the club to see if the show was canceled and they said it was not. I asked if I could get a refund or if it was possible to just have my tickets transferred to another night since it was illegal to drive there. They kept running me around in circles so I asked to speak to the manager. Of course the manager wasn’t there and they said they would call me back… that was a week ago and I still haven’t heard from them. Needless to say I won’t ever be patronizing this place even though it is right down the road from me. I could have been a good customer but you can’t treat people that way and think they won’t remember. I have already told all my friends and family to steer clear of this place.
