I originally was introduced to Scott Brady by the contractor who redid my bathroom in my weekend home. Scott did a good job, so I asked him to drain the water system as I did each year. After telling my how experienced he was he did the job, and charged twice as much as any previous plumber. I accepted the higher price because«he’s a master plumber». When I asked Scott to turn on the water for this season I met him at the house. I immediately saw 3 broken pipes before we turned on the water. He had a variety of excuses. He then showed me some corroded pipes and a check valve(which he disconnected when he turned off the water) and said he needed to go the plumbing supply house to get the parts(at $ 125/hr) even though I offered to go myself. Of course the pipes had to have been bad when he closed the system so he could have told me then, and picked up the necessary pieces before coming to the house. He then told me that the pump motor didn’t turn, and that it would have to be replaced. Since the pump was only 2 years old, I had enough and told Scott to take his tools and leave. I then asked a neighbor who is a plumber, but has a full time job, if he could just check the pump. He found that the only problem was that the circuit breaker was off, turned it on, primed the pump, replaced the corroded and replaced parts that Scott took with him when I sent him away, and water up to the house in about an hour. We then discovered additional leaks, and found that Scott had unnecessarily(never had it done in 40 years of owning the house) disconnected every water line from every sink, toilet and shower in the house. You would think that a «master plumber» could check to see if there was power before declaring the pump broken. I wouldn’t recommend Brady Plumbing even though he will tell you over and over««m not the cheapest, just the best»
