Decent coffee, not so decent breakfast sandwiches. When all they have are day-old plain bagels at 9am on a Sunday, you have to wonder. How long can this place last? The service is slow as molasses, and I suppose it’s a little ironic that this shop is in what used to be a Bess Eaton. The drive thru is closed now, and one poor guy,(probably the owner,) is trying to use one non-gloved hand to make your coffee while toasting your bagel. In an area where coffee and donuts are king, thus place can’t make it if they don’t step up their game. Sorry.

When you Levant fron the outside it looka like an old run down Tim Hortons tgat isnt open for business, but when you enter you are greeted by a smiling face behind the counter and a somewhat trendy open layout. Levant has taken the time to make a visually appealing enjoyable place to sit. The coffee is very good and the prices are modest. I would much rather spend time in a place like this rather than the cold corporate shell of chains. Other things to note are the quality speakers playing gentle, recognizable music and interesting seating with slabs of smooth logs as counter toos. I hope they are successful and are able to make further strides, like cleaning up the exterior and make it more appealing visually. I had my doubts, but I’m glad I walked in.

Wow! Stopped in the other morning — I wish I lived closer! Outside of making my own, One of the best hot chocolates I’ve ever had. Real chocolate and the milk isn’t run through the espresso machine so no scalded flavors and you can drink it w/o waiting forever to cool down. The mocha was outstanding as wear the pastry sandwiches we had. Some of best croissant I’ve had in a long time. It’s located in the old Tim Hortons structure.

This is one of the three coffee shops that have opened in the stretch of route 1 between Mystic and Pawcatuck. This one has a wee touch of a Mediterranean flavor to make it different but frankly, the whole bunch are pretty average. The space is a bit odd having been remodeled from a failed Tim Horton’s(something that could only happen outside of Canada) and use of space is a bit different. The coffee is good, the breakfast sandwiches are ok and the mideastern snacks are pretty good. Nothing exceptional but worth a stop if you are looking for a cup of Joe!

Great lattes. Super nice management. We started discussing coffee roasting, next thing I knew I was enjoying a tasting of one of his favorite coffees. Their passion for coffee really comes through. I only wish I lived closer and this would be my new favorite place.

I first discovered this coffee shop about five weeks ago one afternoon while driving by. I quickly pulled in to check it out. The décor inside is nice and the pace is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. They sell and brew coffee from: . I’d never heard of them before and I was happy to try something new. I got a small coffee and bought a bag of their Portland House blend coffee to try. I recently started using a French press at home to make my coffee every morning and I’ve been experimenting with different beans in order to find the bean to make the perfect cup. The small coffee that I had there was good, however when I made the coffee in my French press at home the next morning I was pleasantly surprised. It was the rich, mellow, and full bodied with very little bitterness. It was easily one of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had. My wife loves it as well. This place is worth checking out if you’re in the area…

I ordered an egg and cheese sandwich. It came on a croissant so sublime, I didn’t want it to end: Ethereal, butter-laminated layers of the lightest pastry I’ve ever encountered. Levant is supposedly«all about the coffee» and the espresso I had was perfect. However my simple egg sandwich and the cinnamon bun that chased it were exalted. The setting is very spare, almost austere, but the seating is comfortable and there’s a retro, rustic feel to the wood-topped tables. I look forward to returning and trying a salad or the hummus. After I’ve had another croissant.

This is a nice little shop. The guy behind the counter was very nice and friendly. Good cappuccino. The décor has potential with nice floors and nice open space, but I don’t love the color scheme or seating type and arrangement, so it just isn’t a place I would hang out. I would not hesitate to stop in for coffee and a croissant though. We went because we thought they had lunch sandwiches but they just have breakfast ones and some cold snacks in the case. My friend did like her egg and cheese croissant.

A classy little café with small breakfast and brunch snacks. Understated and refined.

Cute little coffee shop in Pawcatuck in the old Tim Horton’s building(I’ll always miss Timmy’s!). The scones are delicious– I’m particularly fond of the bacon/gruyère scone & the plain hot chocolate is creamy & comforting. I got a peppermint hot chocolate last time I was there(usually my favorite coffee shop beverage) & it tasted more like menthol than peppermint– it had a very medicinal quality to the taste. I won’t order that again. Only 3 stars because every time I’ve gone service is painfully slow(wonderfully polite & apologetic about it, but still…). The employees seem unable to perform more than one task at a time so don’t be in a hurry to get your drink, scone & get out.

What a gem! Lovely place, reminds me of a coffee place in So Cal. Wood slab tables, brick, open & still cozy! They took a cookie cutter place and turned it into a hipster cool Cali kinda space. This kind of place is nice to have around here with our longer cold weather season. Delicious coffee(I had the mocha) & Ma had the most delicious hot chocolate made with farm fresh milk & ghirardelli chocolate! Nice egg n sausage on an everything bagel, chocolate croissant! We’ll be back with friends!

Very nice coffee shop. It’s spacious, clean and well-lit with windows all around. The food is legit, and the coffee is pretty good too(totally demolished the egg nog latte I just ordered!) It definitely has the feel of a privately-owned coffee shop where it’s clear that the owners care about their business and work hard to maintain a nice environment. Their business is accessible, and the staff are super friendly. The reason I give four stars rather than five is because of the wi-fi situation. While they do offer wi-fi, it’s not exactly free in the typical sense. It’s through xfinity, and it requires you to either log-in with your xfinity account for free wi-fi, provide your email and a little info for a free trial, or pay by the hour. It’s not a huge deal and shouldn’t deter anyone from coming here, but it’s a little irritating to have to fork over my contact information to Comcast since I imagine they’ll later subject me to a barrage of marketing which I’ll have to reject. Again, not a big deal, but enough of a pain to knock off a star.

It’s about time something took the place of this one time Tim Hortons located between Stonington Arms and the High School! Since I was hungry and I wanted to support this fact(plus my curiosity) I decided to check it out. The atmosphere/décor is a bit odd with wood slab type counters sprinkled around the eating area. It’s a strange in between of the Tim Hortons of the past and more intimate coffee shop. I was surprised at the large variety of expresso and coffee choices and went with a simple iced coffee. It was delicious! Really well balanced and flavorful. Reminded me of the good iced coffee at Dave’s. For food I got a Grier cheese & bacon scone which tasted like an amazing bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit but more filling and decadent. They warned it up for me in their micro and alas the heat was a little uneven but really good result anyway. The offering in the cooler case reminded me of a more international Starbucks with lots of couscous & tabouli salads among others and other little delights I’ve never heard of but want to try. They really shined on service and were eager to please, answering my questions with big smiles and good attitudes while giving me samples of a very yummy and fudgey brownie. This place can def succeed as a grab and go but I think it they worked on making their place for conducive to lingering(couches & wifi maybe?) they could turn this into a nice little spot for regulars to meet.
