Every year, it’s about the Blizzards. They are so unhealthy but we just don’t care THEYAREDELICIOUS! If you live in the area, you must try this at least once, it’s absolutely worth the wait(and yes, the line can get a bit long).

Friendliest staff ever! Line is usually pretty long but the wait is over super fast because the staff makes sure to get the ice-cream out as fast as they possibly can !

It’s always been great to come here. Ever since I was little I had always loved it. Before they put the steps in at the bank you would either have to awkwardly park or go into the bank and climb up the hill. Pawcatuck middle holds CCD from 6:15 to 7:30 and it will stack to the already big line. Also St. Pius school gets out at about 3:00 in the afternoon and there is already a line. So go as soon as you can. But personally from going to CCD now 3 years and St. Pius school for 5 years and leaving for another, I personally like the line so I can decide. My personal favorites are the Banana Cream Pie Blizzard and a Twist with chocolate sprinkles

This particular Dairy Queen is only open from early spring until around Columbus Day weekend & lacks food other than ice cream. It’s just take out with no real sit down area to eat other than a few picnic tables. The kids who work there are usually pretty friendly & attentive. They have a good selection of soft serve & options to go with it. It’s definitely a family favorite in the summer time. Plus their ice cream is pretty damn good! The parking situation can be difficult. The spots are at a weird angle making it tough to get in & out plus they’re kinda tight. I see a lot of people parking at the bank next door & walking over to solve the problem. This DQ seems to attract some questionable foot traffic. I don’t know if the neighborhood is that bad but the people I’ve seen(& heard!) in the area make me think we should bring back the eugenics movement. It’s tough not to like any ice cream but DQ’s is among the best. I don’t care about any other food some DQs might carry. 5 stars for the ice cream and minus 1 for the area & crappy parking lot.

Would have gotten that fifth star if they had the brazier items. Still, for ice cream treats there’s nothing better than DQ. I was jonesing pretty bad for a DQ yesterday as we were driving back from having burgers down in Mystic. I didn’t know that there was a DQ in the area and by pure serendipity we took a different route home and passed this. It appeared like a vision from a dream! There, unexpected and no mirage, a DQ! I was almost doing a happy dance as I got out of the car and went to order. The ice cream at DQ is my favorite soft serve in the world. I know it’s not fancy or gourmet or high-brow, but dammit there’s nothing better than this! Smoooooooooth sweet and delicious.

Blizzards but no burgers Just a little take out DQ without the bugers and grill. No seating or amenities of any kind but in this place but none of that matters. It’s still a DQ and DQ has the best damn ice cream in the world, especially after a day on the water or beach. Dipped cones, peanut busters, waffle sundaes and of course blizzards. Lots of blizzzards. This place is one of the best parts of summer.

I’ve been going to this DQ since I was a mere tot, and my kindergarten glass took a walking trip to it. I have been in love with vanilla cones dipped in Butterscotch ever since. They also have a mean chili dog so– a great option if there is no Sonic in your area. Service is good. Occasionally the parking lot is packed and the workers can’t keep up with the mess.
