The service is extremely slow and the food is OK if you are comparing it against NYC Thai food.

Thai Elephant 2 is outstanding! The people there are nice and the restaurant has such a warm environment. It is beautiful in every season. The food is very fresh, with some of the best Tom Kha Gai and crispy basil chicken around. Reasonably priced and local. Highly recommend!

The good was very very salty. We all got different dishes and all were super salty. We could not get enough soda to drink as the waitress was below average. The place had a weird smell coming from the carpet as well. Never went back.

Thai Elephant 2 is the best Thai restaurant in Putnam and Westchester counties. All of their dishes are delicious, reasonably priced, and the portions are huge. The tom kha gai soup is the best I’ve had and there is a huge selection of vegetarian options. Hands down, my favorite restaurant around here.

We always stop in here when visiting mother-in-law and have dinner. The food is delicious, staff is courteous and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommended if you are looking for delicious food.

We stopped in today for lunch with our notoriously picky soon to be 9 year old who has never had Thai food before. All three of us went for the lunch specials, which are an incredible value for the amount of food you get, and the quality is amazing as well. Our picky eater had the Thai Fried Rice with Chicken and the house soup, which was a clear broth with veggies and tofu. While he didn’t eat the«stuff» in his soup he really liked the broth, devoured his spring roll and we were both astonished that he actually ate his fried rice and hunted for pieces of chicken. It was a Thai miracle! He even tried some of my Tom Kha Gai soup and his father’s Tom Yum soup but he was NOT a fan of the spice level(and, oops, we didn’t really tell him they were spicy). I tried the Pad Kee Mao with tofu, it was wonderful. I love that the tofu was super crispy and there was sufficient heat to the dish. Hubby had the Spicy Basil Fried Rice with beef. He said it wasn’t as spicy as he thought it would be, but I have a feeling after the Tom Yum his tongue was desensitized to the heat! We had a great lunch today and are so thrilled that we were able to get our picky young man to experience a food we love so much.

This restaurant is amazing. If you love Thai food then this is the place for you. In the spring and fall the outdoor seating view is phenomenal and all year long the food is great. Highly recommend the lunch specials Monday-Friday. I adore all the coconut based meals. Best tom kha gai soup and the Panang is great as well.

Great Thai food! We are from SF and we found the food comparable to the Thai restaurants out there.

Very cool place — ordered the crispy basil chicken and while it was really flavorful, the portion was a bit small and there was hardly any heat, despite the menu’s warning. But overall a great experience and will definitely return to try other things on the menu!

We were in the area, and searching for lunch we spotted this place. Decent reviews. When we arrived there weren’t many folks there(not usually a good sign!). We sat on the patio. Great weather, and a nice view of the wood surrounding the place. The menu was pretty typical Thai. We ordered various things, I honestly don’t remember most of them. I did the panang curry. It was fine. I ordered medium hot, which it wasn’t. Very mild They did have a different soup(not just tom-yum), and it was nice for a change. Don’t know that I’d order it deliberately, though. The other dishes were nothing special. I can’t say they were bad, but not memorable either. I’d probably really go 2.5 stars on this one, but they don’t deserve two stars, so I have to go with three here on Unilocal

Sorry but overly pricey and definitely not worth it. The curry I had was watery and had no flavor. The bartender was a sweetheart and that was the best part. I sat and chatted with him since I just moved to the area.

Some of the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. My expectations for Thai food way up in the burbs was pretty low to begin with but this place did not even come close. I’m actually not sure what type of food they serve because what I just had was not even close to my experiences in Thailand, Thai restaurants in NYC or Thai restaurants in other major cities. The food I got from longtail boats in Thailand while on the beach, where the people cook on small gas burners and have limited access to seasonings(which are expensive for Thai locals to buy) was far superior. But the steamed white rice… Fantastic! PS Don’t order the Chicken Param which tasted like fried bread crumbs in a sauce that was basically peanut butter. Perhaps Param is Thai for«without»?

Love love love this place. My husband and I regularly order take out from here and occasionally will dine in. Their spicy basil fried rice is delicious. I especially enjoy the green curry. It is so hard to choose a favorite dish, all of them are so good! It is a little pricey to me but the food is so worth it.

My favorite place in the area. Never had a bad meal. Portions are a bit small but good. If the place is packed service can be slow. I hate waiting for the check once I’m done eating. Nice people though.

Good Thai food, far from the best I’ve ever had, but after Thai Golden in Carmel switched owners about a year and a half ago, their food just hasn’t been the same and Thai Elephant II has become my go-to Thai place in the area. The food is definitely tasty, flavorful, good selections. The location of the restaurant is also beautiful. Go for the sunset! Really what knocks down a few stars for me is the service. Just totally unorganized and you end up consistently waiting for the check for 10+ minutes after you’re done with the meal. They need more /experienced servers, period. Some of my favorites are the Tom Yum soup and mango cashew salad. I’ve also tried the pad thai which is yummy, a bit more saucy than usual, and the crying tiger special is really great too with some rice on the side.

We met friends here for lunch and it was all of our first time here. The food is ok. Weird selections and the service was almost non existent. All 4 of ordered didn’t appitizers and different meals, though they were attractive on the plate nothing tasted great. I liked the chai tea and that was about the only thing I found inspirational about our experience. The food was cold or slightly warmbut again nothing was what it should have been. I think we all sort of found it comical. The final straw was at the end of our entrée, we sat for 20 minutes and no one came back to our table. We all wanted to try different deserts so after 20 minutes I had give a loud«excuse me» to draw attention — did I mention we were the ONLY people in the restaurant — and the waiter came with the check and walk away. Just rude in my opinion and very bad service. Non of us were impressed with anything in this restaurant. I just don’t understand what they are trying to accomplish. I can’t recommend this place for anything, even if you’re craving Thai food.

This is the best(and only) Thai restaurant in Patterson! Formerly L’auberge Bretonne, Jagerhaus and most recently Steakhouse 22, a very handsome restaurant with a stone fireplace, bar, deck and garden seating in season. Hoping there will be enough traffic on Rt 22 to stay open for a good long run. During my visits there were a number of first time diners who frequented one of the previous restaurants this building housed. All appeared happy with the latest identity. Very friendly service and a nice setting is a great start, on to the food. Didn’t go out on a limb, stuck to Pad Thai or Pad Kee Mao with Tom Kha Gai. Great! Everything prepared to order and very tasty. Looking forward to returning!
