Worst food ever. But I was hungry. I usually go to the Taco truck on 1^st Downtown Patterson but was too tired to drive downtown. Big mistake. I ordered 4 steak tacos with only grill onions, (comes with 2 free tacos, made 6 total) side rice and chips. When I got home, my tacos had everything on them. No problem I just go back to get my correct order. The lady at the counter said I mess up on my order. Wtf! She said she can only redo 3 of the tacos. I told her I paid for 4 and I didn’t need the extra two. Just give me what I paid for. Long story short I left with 3 tacos. I would of keep the first 6 but I can’t eat hot salsa. It gives me very bad heart burns. I should of just went to the taco truck, at least their food is good. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Great fish taco special on Ash wednesday, and the chicken tacos were pretty good too. Great special @ lunch.

Best Carnitas Tacos I’ve ever eaten. I love the grilled onions drizzled over each taco. They are small so order at least four per person. I like to order six because they are so delicious. The meat is cooked to perfection.

Out in the middle of nowhere, we were so happy to find some good grub on our way back to LA from Napa. Quick, friendly service and the burritos were bomb.

I have been living in Newman, California for about 11 years. I have eaten at this establishment about 15 times in the last three years. My husband picked up some food for us about 6 months ago and my chimichanga had mostly beans in it and very little chicken. I thought that maybe they were having an off day and just let it go. 3 months ago I picked up food and again it was horrible. At this point I was wondering if maybe they have new owners or maybe new cooks. Today my son and went in to pick up some California fries for me and when he brought it home all it contained were fries, beans, cheese and carne asada meat. No where was the guacamole or the sour cream. I called the establishment to inquire about this and the first time the phone rang and rang numerous times, connected and then hung up. I called back 10 minutes later and fifteen minutes later and it was the same thing. I have decided to spend my money on an establishment that at least would answer a phone and two make decent food.

Holy fuck this place takes so long for the food to come out! Waited 20 min for one burrito

Took my family to this place after a football game based of other reviews.
This place was bad. Waited a long time to order and even longer for the food.
I got sick as a dog from their «famous tacos». Greasy food.
Stay away. I will never go back to this place again.

Great food, but the main reason I go there is the lady running the register! Oh my what a body! Does anybody know her name and or situation?

I will not be back. I ordered a super asada burrito for 6.47 for my son. It was wrapped haphazardly. It didn’t even have sour cream. My son told me it was the worst burrito he ever tasted. He threw it away. Will not return. I am sure Rick’s will remain in business without my two cents. I will take my two cents and go to another Mexican restaurant in Patterson. There are many that are not only 2.00 cheaper but they taste 200% better. We will Not be back!

I LOVE Ricky’s!!! I could eat here everyday! They are always so nice and their $ 1 beer Fridays are always awesome! The only bad things is they are closed on Tuesdays!!! Lol I would prefer if they were open 7 days a week (;

I was craving Mexican and came to this spot because of the positive reviews. The place looked nice and clean from the outside, but this place is very below average! I was very disappointed in the food. Service was good.
We ordered:
Horchata: taste was okay but a bit on the watery side ³⁄₅
Chips: came with side of salsa and beans. I liked the salsa and beans but the chips were thick and oily. Didn’t eat as much as I normally would ³⁄₅
Cheese enchilada: came with a side of rice and beans. Everything about this dish was bland. My tortillas were falling apart and the the tortillas did not taste fresh at all. Rice was okay, a bit bland. I did not finish my meal. ²⁄₅
Chicken fajitas: the chicken was hard and very bland. My brother who loves meat, barely ate it! The tortillas were soft though ²⁄₅
Overall not a great spot. I wouldn’t return unfortunately

It’s so amazing but they did raise prices. I thought my combo plate was going to be $ 7 turned out $ 12 with tax that’s quite a bit for me! But it was so good so money well spent?!

Great local joint in Patterson. Wide selections of meats and good specials. Friendly staff but I usually do take-​out.
My go-​to is the torta cubana or tacos. Burritos can be hit or miss (tends to be dry) so I’ve had better. Try the torta!

This place is below average. We stopped in for lunch on our way up to San Francisco. Unfortunately, everything from the chips to the our meals were tasteless. The salsa they hand out is more like a tomatilla sauce then salsa. We searched and searched for avocado in the guacamole yet only found reminisce of our green friend.
The staff was very friendly, but the place could use an overall scrubbing. Men’s bathroom smelled of sewage.
Expected so much more from the previous reviews.

Free chips and salsa, large super burritos, excellent carnitas and chile verde. The roasted chicken tacos were delicious. Fed all 8 of us for $ 35. Horchata was a little on the sugary side, but other than that this place is great.

I love this place!
They have something called California Fries they are like nachos but with French fries, they are amazing!
Their lengua could use some more seasoning.
Their AlPastor is awesome, nice and acidic.

I don’t usually like getting burritos at the store taquerias, I get them off a truck, because the stores typically have you left with a mouth full of gristle.
I walk in and go to the counter to order and find a seat shortly after. The gentleman behind the counter smiles and hands me chips and salsa. The chips are a little on the greasy side, but fried fresh. They hand you the standard which is salsa which is a typical 3 stars, nothing amazing, but it’s good. The young woman hands me the retried beans, and trust me, they are not of the canned variety! Yum!
Next after I sit and eat a few chips, the gentlan comes out and calls my name with my order (so quick!). I had forgotten I had given the young lady my name. I eat my fill of the carne asada burrito, I was surprised to see a side of grilled onions cooked to perfection next to my burrito and taste just as good! My burrito had fresh guacamole and sour cream (it’s the super burrito) and the guacamole and sour cream is spread throughout the entire burrito. Every bite equal, no bites of only beans or only rice. The best part is that there is no gristle, or very few, only 1 small piece did I find, which I typically find more!
I will be back! Yum!

The food tastes like it’s cooked in Turkey grease. We had dinner here a few years ago and thought the same thing. We were hoping it would’ve got better but unfortunately it didn’t.

I don’t know why people gave this place such reviews. It was ok nothing special. Kinda bland actually.
I ordered 2 taco w/​rice and beans special for $ 5. Added a side of guacamole.
Carne Asada taco was ok. Rice and beans were OK but nothing special. Have had better guacamole.
