This was my first visit to Pep’s Grill & Pizza. It was President’s Day Monday at 2pm. Let me start off by saying the pizza selection is not large for a business that promotes it in it’s name on the menu. Only cheese and pepperoni slices are available. There’s a couple more offerings in full pies but not much. This used to be the Colonial Grill back in the 1980’s. Much of the structure remains as it was with the exception of the table jukeboxes that used to decorate the dining area back in the day. I ordered 2 plain cheeseburgers, 1 hot dog all the way and french fries. They also have a very large selection of bottled beverages. They do have a television with local cable news on but it’s positioned in a way that benefits only the workers and those ordering at the counter. There’s no music since it would be too loud to hear it anyway. My meal tasted as basic as it goes in comparison to other similar establishment. Basic and filling works for me today. I found out yesterday that the place is closed on Sundays.

The posted menu is outdated so expect to be overcharged. The service was horrible. One woman in particular said that she had worked there for 11+ years and her attitude was especially nasty. Not to mention, they are missing or are out of several items on both menus. Don’t expect to be told that until after you have waited for them already.

Awesome grill food. I get the gyros most of the time. Affordable when you’re just a college student, working every day single mom. I’m happy to find places like these, where dinner or lunch for three with drinks is still 20 bucks.

Peps is fine the prices for the food are good but other than that it’s okay. I usually get a pastrami reuben.
