Ice cream is amazing! My favorite is the Banana Oreo flavor. The area may not be the safest hence the bullet proof case separating you and the cashier but all around it wasn’t a bad expierence. My favorite ice cream place around!

Been coming here since I was 2 years old, or since 2002! I come here every year various times each summer. Makes me so glad to see how much it has improved. I always stick to the classic strawberry and chocolate here, always gold consistency and taste. Love it! Also would recommend the Chocolate Chip, Pistachio, and Dulce de Leche(a new flavor they recently added) I would say it’s even better than Cold Stone, to be honest. Always impresses me. They’ve also added quite an array of flavors. Excited to see how it will continue to improve over the years.

Kind of strange location but great ice cream. Amaretto Nut and Almond Joy and Maple Nut and Peanut Butter Twirl cones. Awesome. Tip these kids. They really deserve it.

Hell yeah. A local hidden spot in Paterson. Pick up only and affordable. The sub should be redone, as no one will know the ace except locals and word of mouth. However, I think they make enough business not to care. They definitely pack on the ice cream and it is to die for. I can’t wait to return’ thanks guys!

Had the dulce con leche sundae and the ice cream was excellent. About twenty five different varieties and the prices are very reasonable. Very reminiscent in quality to New England shops because of the fact that it’s homemade and fresh hard ice cream.

What a hidden treasure this place is. I go twice a month for a half-gallon. They very recently just raised the price from $ 5.50 to $ 6.00 but it is still worth the price. Try the sherberts as well. I have never had it so delicious.

Their vanilla peanut butter ice cream was as good as Nasto’s in Newark(my all-time favorite ice cream spot). Creamy and not overly sweet, it was good. The only negative is its in Paterson.

This is seriously the best ice cream at the best prices in New Jersey. It’s not so well known, which is why I’m hesitant to give it a five star rating on Unilocal, and isn’t super easy to find, unless you know exactly what you’re looking for(or look for a nondescript building with a line out the door). Their prices are phenomenal and the sizes are HUGE. I’ve always gotten the Grape Nut ice cream, after being intrigued from other Unilocal reviews. It is unreal — hard to explain, but it’s totally worth trying out. If you find a flavor that you love(which seriously shouldn’t be hard), you get half pints, pints, and quarts to go, that are STUFFED with ice cream. The service is also quick and really polite/efficient. Worth a trip — it’s better than Gelotti’s in all aspects — ice cream, service, and price!

Lives up to the hype. I wish they featured PB chocolate instead of PB twirl, but hey it’s a minor gripe. Service is friendly for a tough neighborhood. Good portions and reasonable prices. Go get some.

After all the hype I heard about this place from my bf and his fam, I was finally«dragged» here(as in… omg omg omg I want ice cream… lets go!) and I’ll gladly say this place lived up to the hype. Had to go with my tried and true standbys… pistachio and chocolate chip mint. A whole lot can be said about a place by how well they do those flavors. The pistachio was easily my favorite. It also had chunks of cashews in it. Def surprised but it was a nice addition. The choc chip mint was also awesome, although something about it just didn’t do it for me. The bf had peanut butter something… which was awesome too. And I can’t remember his 2nd flavor. Regardless, I just remember thinking I could eat here every day. The portions are HUGE for the price. I think I paid $ 4 or so for a two ginormous scoops in a just as big waffle cone. I was that little kid that couldn’t keep up with the melting ice cream and was wearing most of it!

Incredibly surprising and incongruous little gem. But don’t let the shock of the place’s very existence fool you. The universally high praise here is well earned. Guernsey is the perfect antidote to a sticky summer evening, and it’s all the more impressive when you see how hard working all the guys working the counter are and how fast they’re moving. It’s a tad uncommon to see guys scooping behind bulletproof glass but it is what it is. There’s also just something kind of nice about all this very diverse set of customers finding common ground over some of the best ice cream in New Jersey.

Shout to Donnie B! His review of a MD Ice Cream spot inspired this one. We have a little Gem of a ice cream parlor of our own here in NJ. Located in Paterson to be exact. Home of Lou Costello, half of the famous comedy team Abbot and Costello. And one of my favorite Pro Football players. Jack Tatum! The hardest hitting Defensive players in the NFL. There are several things about this spot that I like. 1.Their Handmade ice cream is REALGOOD. 2. They offer a wide variety of flavors. 3. The prices are tame. 4. Like the proverbial rose that grows up thru the concrete, the neighborhood GC resides in is straight up ghetto and I dig the contrast! Fin
