Village of Patchogue

Other an an old shopping icon known as Swezey’s that used to be here, and some decent fishing spots there was no reason to really go to Patchogue in the past. It always had a bit of an unsavory element, and at night in certain areas did not seem safe. In the old days episodes of COPS should have been filmed here.
That has changed a bit over the years as it seems the town is trying to revitalize the area, especially off the main drag. So many new spots to get your eats and drinks on along Main Street now. From beerhouses to gastropubs and even a Meatball Shop knockoff. NIce landscaping and very clean. The concert hall gets some big name acts. You can also head on over to the waterside to dine and have a few drinks at the tiki bar, or a few of the older established spots right by the marina.
Sure, the metered parking along the streets are annoying, and the town rent-​a-​cops are in full force issuing parking tickets, Yet, the meters are cheap so just go with maximum time to avoid any problems, or head on over to one of the paid parking lots to play it safe if staying for awhile.

Been coming to Patchogue for last decade. All the spots, harbor crab, meatball place, village idiot pub, Gino’s pizza, brickhouse brewery. It all ended last night. Parking on the street. Sneaky fuc*ing joke from the town. Sign says free after 6pm, yet you park after 6pm and you get a $ 25 ticket. Worded the sign like a criminal to rip people off to support your town. You got me for $ 25 and now will lose thousands from me. Never will return. I will now campaign to keep others away.
