I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. My boyfriend called to make reservations for our anniversary. Since it was just the two of us, and we had reservations, I would have expected the staff to recognize that we were on a date. When we arrived, we were led through the gorgeous dining room(which was mostly empty and had plenty of seating) and were seated in the bar room, surrounded by happy-hour-goers. It gets better: we were seated right next to the swinging door for the waiters to come through, even though there were many other tables available! I’m glad the other guests were having a great time and it’s wonderful that happy hour fills up there, but I really didn’t appreciate being seated there when we were clearly looking to enjoy a dinner date. I asked to move to the dining room and the hostess was very pleasant and accommodating. I just found it odd that we were seated there to begin with. We were reseated in the dining room which was much better. But our server was not impressive. He barely listened as we spoke and rushed off every time we ordered something. When he brought our food, he basically dropped it and ran. We each enjoyed a glass of champagne but our server never offered us a second glass! How odd! First of all we felt abandoned, and second, wouldn’t he want us to order more drinks? At first our server did not even seem busy. Then another large party was seated and he seemed way too busy with that group and their large drink orders to notice us and our champagne glasses. We also waited FOREVER to have our food wrapped when we were done. It took so long that we did not even want to stick around for dessert, despite the fact that it was a special occasion that we wanted to celebrate with a treat. The food was ok, but not memorable. The butter was delicious, believe it or not! Overall, food was decent and we probably would have gone back of the seating/service was not so bizarre!

I gave this restaurant 4 stars I would have given it 5 stars if the service was a little better. I went there for a birthday lunch with a girlfriend and we sat outside by the water, and the view was beautiful! Unfortunately I ordered the BLT with chicken on ciabatta bread and I found the chicken extremely dry but the rest of the sandwich was delicious! As I said the service was slow for lunch we were there two hours we were enjoying the view but after a while we just wanted to get on with our meal, we had a busboy I guess and a waiter but the waiter didn’t seem to be able to keep up with the tables outside. I ordered a seltzer and he forgot mentioned it to the busboy and he got it for me! Aside from all that I don’t think I would order the ciabatta sandwich again, my girlfriend had garlic chicken with a side salad and she said it was absolutely delicious come we ordered for dessert the cream puff with ice cream and chocolate sauce and once again we had to wait almost 20 minutes to get it, but in the end they were delicious. With all the waiting I asked for the check when we got our dessert and had to wait for that too! I have been to this restaurant before for dinner inside and the service has been very good and the food was very delicious. As someone else posted the food does come family style enough to share with other people. And I’ve also been there for parties and the food is absolutely delicious.

Decent place. Pricey but the outdoor seating by the water is very nice for dinner. LOCATION: The name says it all. The restaurant is located right on the bay in Patchogue. DECOR: Fancy looking place. Inside is white cloth tables with dark wood furniture. Outside is a bit more casual with white plastic tables and dark brown chairs, but still has an upscale look to it. FOOD: Most of the food was pretty average. You’re given a bread basket and butter when you sit down. We ordered Clams Oreganata, Oysters, and Shrimp cocktail for appetizers. You get 6 clams, but they were very small. Taste was alright, heavy on the garlic and olive oil. Oysters were very good, very fresh. Shrimp cocktail — average. For dinner, we ordered chicken parm, Rigatoni with shrimp, scallops and spinach in a creamy/vodka sauce, and stuffed flounder. The dinners are family size portions and include a side salad. The chicken parm was average, nothing out of the norm. The rigatoni dinner was very good. Delish scallops and shrimp, and the sauce was very tasty. Stuffed flounder was average, modest portion size on that plate. SERVICE: Waiter was friendly and efficient. They make sure to refill your water glass whenever it gets low which is always nice. I will probably return here for another dinner outside before summer ends. Would be a nice«date night» place, but I wouldn’t come here too often since it is a bit pricey and I’m on a budget ;)

I am so disgusted and disappointed by this place. My friend recommended me to have my birthday here so I made reservations here for my Birthday. The host didn’t tell me I can’t bring or cut my cake here. So my amazing boyfriend surprised me with a beautiful and the most expensive cake from popular bakery in Astoria. As we checked in for my reservations they refused and told us we couldn’t cut my cake here. They gave us a hard time and they were very rude. I strongly suggest not to do your birthday here, there’s no point, since they don’t allow cutting cake here. We made the best of it and decided to go to Vincents Clam Bar in Westbury and had a wonderful dinner!

Remember that Seinfeld episode with the gang waiting for a table at the Chinese restaurant– I experienced worse. Hostesses were also very unfriendly and had an attitude. I don’t mind waiting– I mind being mislead again and again. Don’t say 30 minute wait if it is going to be more than 1 hour… then I would have just left and come back another day. Pros– Portions are big(think Carmines in NYC)(But you are paying double the price for a normal entrée at any other Italian restaurant to make up for that.) They will make some things off menu when asked(i.e. they made a very nice Burger for my kids at kids’ menu price) Cons– Hostesses– as mentioned above– I have absolutely no desire to ever go back because of these 2 rude women that I encountered one Friday night. Quality of Food– Well, how good is it going to be if they are throwing 1(possibly 2 weddings) at the same time the restaurant is open. I am thinking that alot of food has been defrosted– not fresh Noise level– deafening… Prices are expensive.(Chicken Parm is costing almost $ 30 and doesn’t even come with a side of pasta(just an overdressed/drenched salad)?) No real water view at all except for a very few tables and none if you are in the formal dining room. Parking– not fun. Valet is required but it is a rather small lot and with young kids it is easy to get runover while waiting for your car. No real designated place to stand between the street and the parking lot.

My family took me here to celebrate my birthday and I have to say that I was rather pleased… and that’s saying something for a hardcore New Yorker. The ambiance was inviting, friendly staff, and the food was good. The staff was attentive, friendly, smiling and aimed to please. For me, service goes hand in hand with the food quality. Everything that I had I was pleased with. I had the lobster bake, which was steamed to perfection. And for dessert, the ricotta cheesecake was light and just right. The view is spectacular here and just made my birthday celebration even more enjoyable. So even if you’re not in LI come out to Lombardi’s in Patchogue. You won’t regret it.

My bridal party took me here to kick off my bachelorette party and it was fantastic. The scenery outside is great for taking pictures and I love that we had a view of the bay as we ate inside. The food was fantastic and although the service was pretty good, my only complaint is that they brought out the main course too soon after the appetizers.

As if my lackluster, overpriced dinner wasn’t worthy of a one-star rating alone, overhearing the owner talk to one of his buddies and say«It’s amazing what people will pay for a pound of pasta and canned sauce» definitely did the trick. Shame on you.

The atmosphere and scenery is about the only thing this restaurant has going for it. Including the valet– they only have 1 valet attendant that drives a manual transmission! The hostess was rude. My drink which was the sunset bay Cosmo was fruit juice with a little bit of alcohol. I had sent it back for them to fix it and I’m pretty sure they sprinkled some extra vodka on top. A Cosmo is supposed to have very little juice– a hint of color and mine was all juice. Waste of $ 12. The calamari appetizer was bland but luckily we had the sauce to make up for it. The blue cheese dressing on the salad basically tasted like mayonnaise. I ordered the salmon special and I couldn’t even taste the salmon. It was covered in this lemon caper sauce that was all salt and lemon. Terrible! My husband got the stuffed flounder special and it was just ok. Not worth the money. Go to View in Oakdale instead!

They were much better a few years ago. I had the lobster and filet. The lobster was very good. the filet however was not seasoned at all. My broccoli rabe was undercooked and the garlic was almost raw and not properly sauteed. My choc fudge cake would have probably tasted better the weekend before. The bill came and truthfully if I am going to spend 240.00 for dinner I should have been more satisfied. The décor and views are great but unfortunately the entrees seem to be slipping in both quality and taste.

Up front, I will admit to some technical«fault» on my part so here goes: In a nutshell, 4 of us went here last night. The food was quite good and portions were large, so excuse the pun but I left with a «bad taste in my mouth.» We went there solely because I brought a «Living Social» voucher(same as a Groupon). You know — pay $ 25 to use on $ 50 worth of food. I read the voucher and scanned all the fine print. Blah… blah…what the hell does it all mean… Now I already paid my $ 25 cash toward my meal, so seems like I can use it since the highly visible restrictions were only when it expires, and that it has to be used Sunday through Friday only. So, I called to make a reservation and mentioned the Living Social voucher. The woman was familiar with it and said we only needed to be seated before 6pm to use it. That’s all! So, it’s a Friday and we’re there before 6 pm. Seems good. Yeah, it also says«present prior to ordering,» ok, you got me, I didn’t — but who does? It was never an issue at ANYOTHERRESTAURANT before! Also — when I made the reservation, the woman told me to please bring a printed copy of the voucher because they couldn’t scan it off my phone like most places will — so I brought the printout. Seems like I abided by their Rules in advance.“ So we got there at 5:45 and ordered off the Prixe Fixe menu which they gave us along with the regular menu and which they did not refer to as anything«special.» It appeared this was more of a Happy Hour” type menu which they always had before 6pm and which should be fine to order from since we were REQUIRED to be seated during that time anyhow. We all ordered a Prixe Fixe meal, which as I said, was good, and the service was good as well, until the waiter came to ask if we wanted anything else. I asked for the check and then told him I had a voucher for $ 50. He immediately responded with shock, «Oh no, you can’t use this with the Prixe Fixe menu!» He tried to tell me that menu, which they apparently always have before 6PM, fell under the«special promotions» exclusions. I asked how the hell their own menu was a «special promotion?» It was not advertised as a special promtion. This was not a «Restaurant week» special menu. The fine print which the waiter then snarkily made me read said exactly the following: «Limit 1 per customer, up to 2 additional as gifts * Limit 1 per table per visit * Valid only for dine-in * Excludes holidays * Excludes Saturdays * Valid in-restaurant only; not valid towards catered events * Must be sat by 6 p.m. on Fridyas * Cannot be combined with any other offers, promotions, events, or gift cards * Must be age 21+ with valid ID to consume alcohol * Entire value must be used in a single visit * Alcohol is not discounted more than 50% Except where noted in the Fine Print: Cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion Tax and gratuity are not included» I think that was absurd and asked to speak to the manager. The manager came with an attitude and basically told me tough shit. I explained that I asked about the«Groupon» when I made the reservation, and what I was told by them at that time, and he couldn’t care less. So, even though I should have mentioned it up front(where I presume they would have snatched their Prixe Fixe menus away from us), the manager and waiter acted more like they were insulted I tried to present a voucher and had this tough crap — «You should have known better» attitude. Bad business IMO, after I gave them a very reasonable explanation of what I was told when I made a reservation. Yeah, big shot you got me this time on the fact I didn’t stick it my waiter’s face when I sat down like I was using some food stamps or some questionable coupon I found at the bus stop. You guys win! Meanwhile I was able to get a refund from Living Social. That’s why they’re great and Lombardi’s is not. Way too many other great places to eat nearby, so I won’t give my money to a place with a snooty, «We’re the best restaurant in town and don’t need your business,» attitude. Stay away from this place unless you think you’re even more special than they do.

I absolutely enjoy this little spot by the water! The food is great, you get a awesome scenic ocean view. Where you can selfie it up! to make any of your friends jelly in the city. I feel like it has a personal feel to it. Not too fancy, not too cheap. Just perfect for a small-mid-size wedding. 1 star down for a little bit of miscommunication with the maître d. But, they made it up and kept the event going. I still recommend it to anyone who’s doing a spring, summer wedding here!

They have an all you can eat brunch buffet on Sundays. Obviously the price is ridiculously high, but it’s endless brunch at a fancy place like this makes sense. That being said, the food is good, but not great. Their breakfast foods leave a lot to be desired, but lunch and dessert are a bit better. Service is about average. As you stay longer, you get less and less service for drinks and water, but waiters are happy to oblige if you ask for something. If you’re in the mood for something extravagant, Lombardi’s is a good choice. As its name suggests, it’s right on the bay, so it offers great views and has a nice tropical vibe in the summer.

I have been here a bunch of times with family since this place has a great view and great food. But our experience on a Saturday a few weeks ago was not up to par. We expected to wait for a table so did not mind being told it was a 20 min wait for a table outside for a party of 4. We sat by the bar and 30 min later the two hostesses say they have a table for 5 open. I said we are a party of four and we ask to be seated outside. There were five tables of four open, the others stayed open. We received a bread basket but had to ask three times for utensils and small plates. Since I was looking for a vegetarian meal I thought I would be able to find one since this is an Italian place and most Italian places usually have numerous vegetarian options. Of all the appetizers and entrees there were no veggie options. I opted for a salad and had the mac and cheese side order as my entrée. My mom and brother had the mussels in marinara sauce and the Long Island Little Neck clans which they said were excellent. The Mediterranean salad I had was okay, I would have preferred some more lettuce instead of mostly just cucumber and tomato. For their entrée my grandma and mom each ordered the rigatoni with shrimp, scallops and spinach. My mom was happy with hers but my grandma was disappointed that there was not one shrimp in her dish. If the dish says it has shrimp, the shrimp should be there. The outdoor area definitely needs more umbrellas. Half the tables were not fully covered. Since this is summertime and the sun is strong, they should have the tables covered, not everyone thinks to bring sunscreen to a restaurant for lunch. The valet people also seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. I used to be a catering waitress, I know how things can get busy and sometimes things cannot run perfectly, but I think if they just need more staff working.
