One of the first beers I ever had(that wasn’t a Heineken) was Blue Point Bluberry Ale. I’d like to say it was one of my gateways into the craft beer world so any trip to Blue Point Brewery(this was my third) is well worth it. It’s nice to have some of their classics like Toasted Lager and No Apologies, but I made the trip specifically to try their new Gose style beer. Upon arrival, the place was hopping as it seems to be these days. More people outside than in so it made it pretty easy to order. The great thing about Blue Point is their three free tastes. It gives you a wonderful opportunity to try a few new brews or even get a little free bit of something you like. But I was a man on a mission and went with a taste of the Gose(brewed with beach plums creating a sour but sweet combination and one of the best gose style beers I’ve ever tried), the Vanilla Cream Ale(which sounded good and lived up to the name with great hints of vanilla on the finish), and Lupilun Drift(a suggestion of a fellow beer drinker which was heavy on the hops and very crisp, making it a flavorful selection). This was unfortunately a quick visit with more things to do(and places to Unilocal), but this visit staples into my mind the fact that Blue Point is still a very innovative brewery which tries new combinations and beer styles. I’ll be back here time and time again as Blue Point continues to produce quality beer for the craft beer fans of Long Island.

This past weekend I was lucky to try Blue Point Brewing at the San Diego Best Coast Beer Festival. Obviously this was the first I had heard of it. The beer was quite delicious and the Sales Rep was very friendly. It truly made me want to go Back East and try out more of their beer. I understand they are young and small. I wish them the best of luck and hope to sample more of their styles out here in the craft beer capital of San Diego. Cheers!

Get your bluepoint beer right where it’s brewed. If it’s your first time, enjoy 3 free samples of any beer of your chosing. It’s only open limited times, but offers great bar space, excellent service, and a good amount of outdoor seating that is great for a community themed experience where you can meet and talk with like-minded beer drinkers. All in all, a great little place to drop by every once and a while.

What a journey it has been with blue point. From the days before they lost some license, to the free, unlimited«samples» when they couldn’t sell, to the days of robocop in the front office… Before they had the new coldbox, before they had the fence, a couple tanks, the whole in the fence… These are all small things you would really feel if you were a part of their growth throughout the years. I’ve had some pretty amazing times that stemmed through blue point, be it at the brewery, on a boat, from the times I’ve had to the people I’ve met, it really helped shape me in great and awful, wonderful ways. I’d say it’s not as socially«open» anymore where you’ll still meet new people, it’s just a little fewer and farther between. Now, it’s more regulars, and irregulars… And irregular regulars haha! Talking amongst their own crews, but intertwining wonderfully. It’s a lot of locals from back in the day still, however there are always new faces with their new found popularity. After the big buyout, it has only helped them as more steady Brewers, of more steady product, and more steady employees. The beers have been new, and they’ve overall been solid. I don’t know why you come here, but for me it’s to see some awesome people and drink a few craft beers. They put on some awesome events and cask fest is really when my year starts! It’s the best day of the year! I really have too many memories for words.

Awesome brewery and very friendly and helpful staff! I came here on a Friday over the summer. It was a bit crowded, and there was a surprise concert from the Gin Blossoms! Have to come back sometime soon to have a couple drinks on a weekend!

Awesome experience here! Came with a group of four, showed ID’s right away(better to just get it done with), got some bracelets and each got three free sample brews. Fine selection, pretzels and candy at the bar, live music(came on a Sat.) and some cute dogs chillin’ in the main room. Too cold to go outside, but saw a tent there for another time. Staff were very friendly, helpful and most of all coordinated. Crowd was a mix of old, young, hippie and conservative — but everyone got along so well and we even made some friends. Chill spot to check out and I hope they keep up the awesome service and atmosphere!

Went there with a group of friends 2 summers ago and had a great time ! There is the main room with all the different Blue Point drafts, and a back yard where you can sit and roam around and enjoy your beer(No tables when I was there, just pick a spot and sit yourself). People are friendly and everyone around was having a really good time. There is no formality or awkwardness — just get in, get your beer, go outside(or stay in, the room was crowded!) Very chill yet happy place — perfect for a relaxed weekend afternoon !

I walked in to Blue Point Brewery in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday in January and was surprised to find a bustling crowd. There was a great energy, extremely large tasting menu, free samples(regardless of price range), and friendly bartenders. If you love craft beer, visiting Blue Point is a must. Cheers!

Bluepoint is a weekend staple that I have frequented for close to 15yrs. They have a plethora of beers to choose from, friendly service and a fairly large area out back with benches, tables and chairs. As for the beer itself, I highly recommend the Rasta. Their stronger IPA that promises a healthy buzz after only 2 pints. Other beers of mention are ESB(Extra Special Bitter) and Wet Hops, but they are not a standard and not always available. On occasion Bluepoint also provides live entertainement and is very pet friendly. If you have an animal or an infant that looks like an animal they are all welcomed. If you love craft beer and meeting good folks Blue Point is your poison.

We came here during our visit to Long Island and we had such a great time. Our tour guide was wonderful. She has been there for years and very knowledgable about the brewery and the barley to beer process. They told us to bring our puppy in and they gave him treats. They even took his photo and put him up on the wall! The beer was great! I am a big fan of their blueberry ale and the pumpkin ale. We purchased a huge beer thermos-growler and let me tell you it has been very useful. Any liquid stays extremely cold for up to about 25ish hours! We brought quite a bit of beer back with us but it didn’t last too long. We are looking forward to finding Blue Point in the stores!

if you love craft beer and have never visit after a beach day in the summer your missing out… actually if you just have never been here your missing out. This place makes me want to get a dog just so I can bring it here on a nice day and just sit out and enjoy the sun. the tasting room was just updated and made a little bigger. I will say it does get crowed in the winter but there is a reason for it. the beer is just good. They are always coming out with different beers throughout the year some you like some your never see again. On some nights they have a food truck to fill your beer munchies.

I love just about all there is to like about this place. It’s inviting and the beer is very good. They seem to keep outdoing themselves with seasonal flavors and new, unique brews. The tasting room is «cozy”/crowded, but offers an excellent selection. Sampling local beer could not get any better than this. As a side note, the staff are super cool, fun and friendly. No arm twisting is needed to support this local brewery.

Love, love, love this place! Did I mention that I love it here? This place is awesome, it’s a brewery and tasting room. They have about 15 different beers on tap at a time. They list them based on their alcohol content which also corresponds to the price per cup /growler. You get to pick three beers and you get 3 free samples. You can then purchase additional beer by the cup for $ 4-$ 6, or by the growler which is actually more economical if you want to drink a bunch of the same beer. They offer a discount on growler refills, so make sure you wash it out and bring it back with you next time you visit. Summer and Fall are probably my favorite times to come to the brewery because they have a great outdoor area with a bunch of picnic benches as well as a food truck. That is also when our favorite beers are in season. My favorites are Summer Ale, Toasted Lager, and Blueberry Ale. My husband’s favorite are Oktoberfest and Toasted Lager. Summer Ale and Oktoberfest are seasonal beers, which one can guess from their names. Oktoberfest is usually available early to mid-August, so having these two overlapping is heaven for us. The food truck has awesome pulled pork sliders, I’ve had them on two different visits and I will definitely get them again next time I’m back at Blue Point. They also offer tours of the brewery on Saturdays at 1 and 4 pm. I did a tour several years ago and found it to be interesting and informative. I have a handy little trick for remembering their address. I think of the NY Yankees, who are located at 161st St and River Ave in the Bronx. Blue Point is 161 River Ave in Patchogue. I wish I lived closer so I could frequent Blue Point more often.

Ok, this review is LONG overdue. This might just be one of my favorite places. Ever. This may just be becasuse I’ve been going here for years, or because it’s a 5 min bike ride from my apartment, or because their beer is on point. but either way, it’s love. If you’re into craft beer and have not been here, you need to make a visit ASAP. They’re open only Thursdays and Fridays 3 – 7 and Saturday 12 – 7, but that’s really all you need. There are about 8 – 10 beers on tap and always a beer on cask. They’ve got all the favorites(Toasted, Blueberry, Hoptical Illusion etc.) and some you’ve never heard of. All beers are fresh, you can really taste it. The bartenders really know their stuff when talking about beer, so feel free to ask them whatever questions you have. Also, they offer 3 free samples to start if you’re new to the line up. After that, you can keep buying tastes for $ 1 – 3 or pints from $ 4 – 9. The $ 9 pint is well worth the money though with a 9%+ alcohol content. Food is served Saturdays by a BBQ truck, which has pretty good food for a decent price, and ya cant beat it if you’re posted up for the day enjoying the outside area. End of story, I love this place and so do most people who visit here. If you haven’t been here, go. If you have been here, go again.
