White Feather farms never disappoints, but this year they really outdid themselves. Picking up a turkey here is not just an errand, it is a feast! You do have to order ahead or chances of getting a perfect antibiotic free, free range turkey is slim at best, which you won’t be if you do. Pickup is past the store, all the way in the back, and to get there, you’ll pass a wonderful bunch of vendors displaying their masterpieces, sample heaven that is! But be careful, partake too much and you’ll hardly be hungry for Thanksgiving dinner. Especially enjoyed this years’ samples, ended up buying a whole lot more than I planned on.

Truly a hidden gem on Refugee Rd west of the Mink Road intersection! Great chicken, very friendly staff, fair prices– try the chicken salad and off the bone ham! Drive between the 2 white barns– parking and the deli entrance is in the back.
