My wife and I are always looking for new places to try with our twin boys and last week we found it! Tonight we had our nieces for a few hours and decided on Jimmy V’s after hockey practice. Some of the reviews of this place are very misleading and until you have tried it, do not make judgement. We started off with the fried pretzel bites and wing appetizers, which were very good. My wife had the French onion burger without a bun and it looked amazing. If you are wondering, I did take a bite and was not disappointed, completely phenomenal! The appearance of her burger matched the taste. Let me rant about my food in the order I ate this evening. I had the wedge salad, that is drizzled with balsamic vinegar and sun dried tomato blue cheese dressing, what an excellent combination, I would consider the portion being more than a wedge! My sandwich, I had the Ruben, which I’m still salivating over, was the best I have had in a long time! The corned beef was very flavorful, plentiful too and the sauerkraut was exactly what sauerkraut was meant to be, SOUR! Not this rinsed, lets add brown sugar and knock the flavor off! Oh, I almost for got to mention how perfectly toasted the rye bread was at Jimmy V’s. My niece had the Pub burger and I know what I am ordering the next time we stop in for dinner! We found a restaurant that we love, our boys love and our waitress Denice was excellent and yes, that is the correct spelling of her name.

We were there on a Friday night. Our server was outstanding! We had pretzel bites and bacon cheddar tots to start. Our twin boys had grilled cheese fries/sweet potato fries and loved all of it… they are very picky! I had mild wings and a side salad and was very pleased. My husband had a cheeseburger and onion rings and was glad that he chose this night to stray from his low carb diet. We plan to go back and want to try the breakfast menu.

I’ve been here a few times to keep giving the place another chance, but probably won’t be returning anytime soon. It’s always slow when I go so I expect good fast service but I never get it. Ever. Sometimes when I walk in I’m left waiting to be seated by someone. Lots of employees walk by but I go unnoticed. Even when there’s only a few other people in the restaurant. Even when I do get seated the service is still bad and slow. Maybe their hiring not so friendly people or every server I get is having an off night. The food is mediocre at best. I’ve tried a few different things. I do like the French fries though. But who can mess up those? Maybe if the service was better I could look past the mediocre food because of how close this place is to my house. What a shame.

Eh… Daughter didn’t like the Cuban Panini but the owner wouldn’t comp. Instead she offered a side salad. Said she can’t just give the food away because it wasn’t to my daughters liking. My burger was good. Most at the table gave the place a three out of five but with the poor experience over the Cuban I took another star off.

My husband and I walked here on a Friday night. The sign said«please wait to be seated,» so we waited about 5 minutes. Servers walked past us, the bar tender saw us, and no one greeted us. No one said to take a seat or that they would be right with us, so we just sat down. Once again, servers walked past and seemed to notice we were there, but they said nothing. After another five minutes of being ignored, we left. We walked home and got take out from Panda Express. If this place doesn’t want my business, then I won’t be back. It’s a shame because it’s so close and the patio looks like it would be a lot of fun in the summer. It wasn’t super busy for a Friday night– there were empty tables, so they should be able to handle that size of a crowd. I have been a server, and I don’t mind slow service when something goes awry. Maybe a few people called off or there was a new person in the kitchen. But you can make up for that by being friendly and welcoming. Maybe it’s a staffing issue, but they really just need to be more friendly. I will gladly take my business elsewhere.

First and last time at this place. Was sat at dirty booth in the bar area. The owners(or at least that’s what we were told) were sitting at the bar drinking. Mozzarella sticks were cold when delivered. Took for ever to get second beer. They were not busy and poor service. Don’t waste your time

One of my top two favorite bars in the area. Service can be a little dicey(they seem consistently understaffed) but it is worth it. My son comes from Sandusky for their burgers. My wife loves their wedge salad. Me? My goal is to work through their entire menu. So far I have been disappointed.

All three times I’ve been here, I came with a large group of friends from my gym right down the road and we sat on the large back patio. They’ve added a really cool water feature that sits prominently against the back wall of the restaurant and adds a nice flair of décor. The burgers that I’ve had have been really good, though I haven’t really ventured outside of that comfort area. There is some parking in the front of the restaurant, some on the side, and another large lot behind. So, why only three stars? Primarily: it’s the service. Partially the fault of the staffers and partially the fault of the staff themselves. Oftentimes there is only one person covering the patio area. Even if it weren’t for my group, there are usually 3 – 4 tables at a time each with a few people. Then factor in our group of 10 – 15 people and there is no possible way that a single server can handle that type of volume. This is certainly the fault of the person(s) doing the scheduling. Even if they originally only had one person scheduled to cover the patio, something should be done to flex another person outside during that high volume time. At times we end up waiting upwards of 15 minutes just to get drinks ordered, and another 15 to get food ordered. God forbid you want refills; the staff is just too slammed to get around to taking care of everyone else. But where this falls on the staff themselves, both kitchen and serving staff, is when orders go wrong. We’re not talking complex orders where someone wants a burger medium rare with no pickles, tomatoes, or onions, but on a lettuce bun, with a side of mayo and bbq sauce and a baked potato with light cream cheese. It’s far simpler things that were nothing more than screwups. For instance, we had five people in our group last time order sweet potato fries as a side instead of regular fries. All five of those people received regular fries. Two other people received completely different sandwiches than what they originally ordered. By the time the food comes out, you’re so hungry from the long wait that you don’t even want to say something about it being wrong! Due to the size of our groups, I’m sure we’ll keep going here after gym functions, due to the size of our groups, but I really wish there was another good local option that we could choose instead.

The waitress was good food was good. Even though there were only 2 people serving the ENTIRERESTAURANT! I really blame the owners and managers. Normally I wouldn’t and I can tell if it’s the server or the not. Even the cook. But our food was out in a descent amount of time and was sill warm. But the food was WAYOVERPRICED! And no manager or owner stepped up to help out.

Seriously, my husband has been wanting to come here, and I didn’t. Frankly, the front of the place doesn’t look appealing to me. BUT, tonight we had a coupon, so cheap me won the battle against stubborn me, and I agreed to go. I am so HAPPY we did! The beer selection is decent. The sweet potato fries and the twisted feta are AMAZING! We both agree we will likely be regulars here. Loved it. Oh! Service was top notch too! Felt obligated to give 20%!

Slow service. Food is pretty good sometimes but other times terrible. One day it smelled like vomit. Wish this place was better.

Food is so so. Service is in need of customer service training. Place is very clean the patio is awesome. But the customer service is horrible. Waited close to 30 mins. For drinks to be taken then took yet another 15 mins. To get 2 cokes. 30 mins for food to be delivered to us. And the waitress only came back to give us the check. And here is the kicker there was only 5 people here. I would have only given half star but the place was clean.

We went last night and had a no problems with service. If anything, service was almost too attentive. Food was decent, though neither of us got any of the Greek food. Overall all decent place to hang out and grab a drink and an appetizer.

The quality of food was lacking compared to the Westerville location. The gyro meat was tough, the kids hot dog was not the same. At Westerville the kids get a big sausage size hot dog. At this location they get a small hot dog that doesn’t fill the bun. Also they gave the kids meal generic fries, not the fresh cut ones. Disappointed with the food here. I was hoping for similar quality and was disappointed…

Here’s a place that is not rated as well as it should be, perhaps there have been some changes since the prior reviews. I had a great time at Jimmy V’s last night, good food, drinks and probably one of the most personable and entertaining waiters in a long time! Usually I don’t care for places that try to be too many things to too many people, and Jimmy V’s does offer a variety of menu items ranging from Greek to Albanian to pub food etc. However, this is Pataskala and there are very few dining options, especially late night, even including nearby areas like Pickerington and Reynoldsburg. Considering I had Greek for lunch, I was super glad they had some other options! We ordered calamari, the obligatory gyro, humus, a burger, and I ordered the chicken penne with shrimp instead of chicken, substituted the wedge salad for the house salad. I was really happy that they allow substitutions, my pasta was delicious. Our waiter suggested a Macedonian wine called Bovin, liked it so much I bought a bottle to take home, highly recommend!

We want to love this place. It’s close to our house and the menu looks good. We were excited to see the sign that it was under new management and had a new menu… not that we didn’t enjoy it before, but just felt there was room for improvement. We want this to be our regular place… like Cheers! Went Friday, July 25, for dinner. Perfect night to be on the patio. Ordered beers… out of Yuengling. Ok… but it is Friday night. Ordered dinner. Wings for the husband, a promising-sounding«Cordon black» burger for me with fries. Ugh. The wing sauce was an odd mix of hot sauce and something creamy… maybe ranch dressing? But it didn’t taste like ranch. Idk. I’ve never loved their wings. The burger was supposed to be a cracked pepper-crusted burger of the highest quality with cappicola ham, Swiss cheese and a mustard-mayo. It was nothing like this. The meat was tasteless with no hint of pepper, the ham was just tiny ends, and the mustard-mayo tasted only vaguely of either. And the fries needed a bit more time in the frier… soggy and limp with grease is the best I can offer. Such a disappointing meal. So now, we will probably just stop there occasionally on football Saturdays for some beverages… let’s hope they don’t run out. :-(

Tried them again on a Friday evening at 6:30. When we arrived we were told to have a seat anywhere in the dining room(and we were the only ones in the dining room at that point). We sat and waited 10 minutes before another couple came in. 5 minutes after that they got service and we did not. My friend and I were hungry and so we left to find an establishment with better reviews and service. At this rate, they won’t be here very long. The lack of people eating here on a Friday evening says something about their service. This location was recommended this to me by a few coworkers, but I won’t be back.

I am glad this place came in on the corner because it gives us workers in the area a better choice that is closer to work. I tried the panini and baklava from here and I was pleased with each. My work had this catered in and we all were happy because it was a change of pace from most of the food we get. I didn’t try the pasta or french fries but other people liked it. The baklava was a little too sweet for me but that might have been due to it sitting in the pan for awhile. This place provides a nice lunch to happy hour option in the area.
