This is the best producer in Paso Robles. Their low end zin(Full Moon $ 19) is my go to pizza wine. I love their big blend, Mare Nectaris at about $ 50, but paying that much makes it my special occasion wine. Joining the wine club is a must. You get library wines and very steep discounts on the rest. Definitely be on the look out for Gemini. A mouthful of jammy goodness.

Natalie was amazing. We came on a Monday and it was luckily very quiet so we were able to take our time and chat. She was so engaging and gave us some other recommendations. They also have military discounts.

Bob the wine tender was so very engaging and gregarious. And the room was very empty due to the holiday. So we just chatted and enjoyed their very fine blends. This winery takes extra care to hold and age their wines so they dont leave as potentials. They are ready to drink and fabulous!

We were sent over to Midnight Cellars by AronHill with two free tastings, but we ended up buying two bottles, so one of our tastings would have been free anyway. I really enjoyed Midnight Cellars. They were tasting 7 wines and all of their reserve wines were open for tasting too. Let’s just say I left here a tad bit tipsy, especially being the 3rd tasting of the day. We met some other nice people here and it was probably one of my favorite tasting experiences of my trip since everyone was so friendly and there was only one girl behind the counter pouring. It’s funny that I remember liking a lot of wines from here, but all we came away with were two bottles of the Sangiovese, one of which we drank with our Thanksgiving dinner at Panolivo… Perhaps I was too tipsy after all the extra pours here and my husband talked me into us just getting two of those because he liked them so much. It is definitely a good wine, don’t get me wrong… but I am all about variety, and I definitely think their chardonnay is nice a crisp. I also liked their rose and they were having a great case special at the time for $ 99. Will return to this winery next time I’m in Paso.

To me this is a great quality winery with ok wine, so since my personal taste buds are in play here I’ll be generous with the stars… If your time in Paso is limited and you like high quality or complex reds I would suggest you keep moving as there are so many vineyards that produce amazing wines in this region but if you’ve got the time or your looking for super friendly service and easy drinking wine with a laided back atmosphere then Midnight Cellars will be right up your alley and you should definitely pull in and taste!

Along with the tasty wines, Alyssa, our pourer, was exceptionally personable and added to our fun. Thank you Midnight(and you’re welcome for the many purchases).

Small winery worth the stop. Way better than Tooth and Nail across the side street. Wines are tasty and the service is very personal. Their Syrah is incredible!

I’m back in Paso with a trip with my folks to visit my brother. My wife and I came here in April last year. We bought some Petite Syrah. Amazing! I’d like to visit again and by some more but they’re out. May have to go to plan B when I come visit them.

Best port ever! I honed in on this winery via another Unilocaler mentioning a good chardonney here. While the chardonney was not to my taste, the other wines in the tasting were quite good. Our hostess, I believe her name was Stephanie(?, sorry, my bad), was one of the most helpful and knowledgeable persons I’ve encountered at a winery. Her passion for the product and the entire wine process was impressive! She turned us on to a few other wines not on their tasting list. I ended up buying an AMAZING port! While I’ve never been a port person before, this port, with a bite of dark chocolate, will send you to another planet! Midnight Cellars– name sounds romantic, and some really good stuff here!

One of a small number of Must-Visit places on my trips to the Paso/Cambria area. They know their wines, the local wine scene, and are a lot of fun to taste with — I love visiting when I have a new-to-wine-tasting friend along. It makes for a great first experience for them. I said«not good for kids» in the survey, but that’s because it’s a winery and I don’t know if kids are legal.

Updated review Jessica was so knowledgeable and so much fun to taste with. If you are a wine and fun lover, this is your place. P. S. if your lucky might get some delicious sausage.

Showed up 3pm new year’s eve 2014. Having been warned they might close anytime, was surprised to see the place pretty full. Turned out it was mainly family, but we were warmly welcomed by the boss and his brother, with many relatives stepping in to help us taste. Also, the wine was great, and I ended up buying two, including the highly concentrated *Zenith* reserve. Now all I need is an appropriate occasion!

Friendly knowledgable staff. And solid wines. Also, I was highly amused by the teenage band(that were pretty good) playing in the yard.

Great wines, great prices. While you’re there, avoid the Caliza place at the end of the road. I love their estate Chard and their Full Moon Red. Their Petite Sirah deserves all of the accolades and awards. Their estate Zin is a 92 point wine, pretty nice. And the nice young lady in the tasting room made the whole experience very enjoyable.

We came here«by accident» since Booker Winery would not honor our reservation(some«last minute» issue came up). That was unfortunate since we were really excited for Booker. Oh well. Midnight Cellars was a great experience. The staff(of one) was helpful and it was not busy at all — the two of us were the only ones there. We took home a bottle of the Chardonnay. The lady was helpful and took her time in explaining their philosophy, winemaking, etc. Overall, we had a nice experience at this«mom and pop» winery.
