I bought a garage door from hammon 8÷31÷2011. Today I finally contacted them about the spotty fading and turning a greenish color. They told me to deal with the manufacturer. We finally came to agreement and Greg Hammon would come by and take pictures. He told me that with the salty air and the sun this happens. And if I parked my car outside it would do the same thing. I pointed out several cars in the neighborhood that have been parked outside and their paint is not doing this and that they have these doors in Paso where it’s well over 100 and this isn’t happening. He then told me that I shouldn’t of bought a brown door. I said why would you sell me a brown door knowing exactly where I live. Which is arroyo grande. I would recommend looking elsewhere if possible.

Fast, efficient and HONOST .
Another company wanted to charge me $ 450 for new springs. Seemed like BS. Told them no. Called Hamon for a second opinion and the problem did not have anything to do with the springs and they repaired the electrical problem for $ 100.

We’ve used Hamon Overhead Door for years and they deliver every time. Our garage door motor needed to be replaced and came right away. The technician was a super nice guy and our new motor is quieter than we could’ve hoped! Now that they came to our house our «garage door isn’t jammin» anymore. I’d recommend them to anyone!

My Sears garage door opener stopped working very unexpectedly. I needed it to be fixed quickly. I considered calling Sears, but assumed that I would not get a quick turn-​around. I called Hamon Overhead Door Company in Lompoc at the suggestion of my property management company. I talked to Greg Hamon, explained my situation and he sent a technician, Milt Plumey out to see me within a couple of hours (after hours, I might add). Milt quickly identified the problem as a busted motor. Even though I needed to purchase a new door opener, there was no pressure applied to purchase one from him. He left the decision up to me, but in the meantime, he unplugged my unit and secured it so it could not be opened manually from the outside (and no charge for the visit). With that kind of service, I decided to purchase the unit from Hamon the following day. Once again, Greg provided extremely fast service by sending Milt out and accommodating my schedule. Milt did an excellent job. He was thorough, professional, all the while being very personable. I will definitely do business with Hamon again and recommend anyone else do the same.

He was punctual and made every effort to correct not only the primary problem with my garage door, but also the other issues that could lead to worse problems down the road, such as fixing the alignment issues, putting in new hinges, etc. He went the extra mile and even returned immediately when there was a minor problem from the first visit, which turned out to be a wiring issue.
