This is my must stop every time we go through paso. Such wonderful people, wine and atmosphere.

Lovely winery and wonderful people work there. They are knowledgable and friendly. We enjoyed tasting all the wine and I recommend the Viognier and the Cab. The Burmese Mountain dog, which belongs to the winery, was a great compliment.

This little place is great. My husband took my over to Paso Robles to do a little wine tasting for our aniversery 1÷30÷2016. We were on our way back to Bako when we noticed this little hidden gem. So we quickly turned around and went back to check it out. That was great idea. The big puppy dogs greeted us. The people were very nice, told us about the Glunz family. I sampled several of their wines of witch 4 bottles came home with me. If you get the chance to go there go ahead and turn off on that little dirt road you will be glad you did.

There is something to be said for boutique wineries. Everyone on sight has an extreme knowledge of their product, and they posses the underrated quality of hard work. The Glunz family definitely fits this bill. We were greeted by a massive dog, beautiful. He trotted to our car and then proceeded to lead us into the tasting room. I’m not sure if he was trained to do so, but he was extremely helpful as the current winery is expanding and the construction could cause confusion. My wife and I tasted in the barrel room at a small bar and were served by one of the two winemaking brothers. The rustic feel was warming, and the care and detail that went into our entire experience was astounding. I try to visit boutique wineries just for this authenticity that was present. The cherry on top of our visit was the wine itself. The smoothness was only matched by the complexity found. The Cabernet and Zin would wonderfully made, by the Syrah is what lured it’s way into my ride home. My wife and I highly recommend the east side visit to see the Glunz Family!

Wow! This stop turned out to be the big surprise of our wine tasting weekend. They had a great lineup of wines here for us to try: Grenache Blanc/$ 18 — Loving this varietal. Viognier/$ 18 Zinfandel/$ 20 Reserve Zin/$ 28 Cab/$ 20 Reserve Cab/$ 35 Syrah/$ 20 Tawny Port/$ 20 Vin Glögg — Served warm. Spicy deliciousness. We loved all the wines made here and purchased several. They were distinctive and delicious with good varietal character. Great value here all around. Until the tasting room building is finished you’ll be tasting in the barrel room/production area. Frankly I don’t mind this at all, and actually like being behind the scenes in this environment. If you’re looking for a Sunset Magazine tasting room with all the glitz and glamour of that sort of experience you’ll find this at many other locations. You’ll also find similar wine at much higher prices there too. Thanks Steve, we’ll be back with more friends.

If you appreciate great wines and a wonderful experience, come to Glunz! Awesome wines and the best wine dog ever, Jenga! Love their port, Zinfandel, and the tasting room lady! Stop by for the family history, and a great time!

Visited from out of town — complimentary tasting! Had the opportunity to meet Matt & Stephen. Welcoming family who has been in the business for generations. I hadn’t tried anything like the Glögg, it’s served warm, really delish. Sampled a Pinot, Cab, and a couple other wines. They also have a winery dog! So sweet & loved his belly rubbed. I was very impressed with all the wines I sampled. TL, DR: Come for great wine, stay for great people.

Matt and Steve(brothers) have made a huge splash in a very short amount of time. Time and time again we have had a great experience here. The wines are delicious. The entire tasting crew(which include Matt and Steve) are friendly, helpful, knowledgable, and most importantly personable. The Estate Reserves are my favorites, but Angelica Port is my absolute favorite. We have sent many of our guests here(Union Road Guesthouse) and all have thanked us. One of them didn’t know whether to thank or curse us as he spent far more than he had expected! LOL!

Well, I wish I could give this winery 5 stars. The three stars are for the friendly service of the staff. We recently visited this winery as a part of the Grapeline Wine Tour(this was our first winery of the day). The tasting was a little hasty and rushed, a little bit like they weren’t really ready for us. However, our pourer was very happy to tell us all about the history of the Glunz family, which was interesting and educational. She poured us wines that were off the tasting menu, including their holiday wine, I think it was called Glögg… I had to dock two stars because there wasn’t a SINGLE wine we tasted here that didn’t taste WAY too young to be served. There was no option to dump out wines that we didn’t enjoy. At one point we contemplated dumping outside, simply because the wine wasn’t really very good at all. All in all, I’ve had worse service, but I’ve also had better wine. If you have a long time to spend in Paso Robles, it’s nice to say you’ve been here to check it off the list. However, if you are on a time crunch, I’d say«Pass!»

We’ve been wine tasting all day and Glunz definitely stood out! The family has been in business for 100 years and it was so great hearing about the family history and seeing the pictures! There was definitely a level of intimacy there you don’t get at other wineries! Matt was very informative and helpful and id recommend them to anyone! Their wine was amazing too! If a family feel means a lot to you then this is the place to go!

If I had one winery you had to visit in Paso, for providing the best in quality wine, great service, and value, I would have Glunz at the top of my list. These guys are new kids on the block, and I expect they will see rapid growth in terms of customer growth. The Zin, Reserve Cab, and the Grenache Blanc, all amazing. The owners, Matt and Steve, have been fantastic hosts for our visits, and we recommend the wine club as we are members.

Amazing. Personal atmosphere. Steve was attentive and friendly. Five generation strong family winery. Steve took the time to give us their family history. I loved their 10 year port and Angelica. Tasting room is located in with the fermentation tanks. Really cool to see where the wine is being created.

I must agree with all the other 5 star reviews. This Winery is the real deal; great service and great wines. Steve and Matt(I’ve been served by both) are exceptionally friendly and very knowledgeable about wine and the wine industry. They are happy to offer as much or as little information as you like. The wines are great with the Tawny and Port being exceptional, with exceptional pricing. YOUWILLNOTFIND A BETTERDEALINPASOROBLES. They are right before Tobin James, another good winery, on Hwy 46E. If you care about wine, and not just out for party time, you really should stop by here. All the wines(as of this writing) were no more then $ 22, most being $ 18 — $ 20 and the Mission Angelica $ 38. They also have a nice diversity of wines: Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Pinot Noir, Grenache, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, 10 year Tawny Port, Mission Angelica-a port aged for 25 years(I kept my tasting notes). Great place — period! Thank you for your time.

New guys in town but they are making great wines with a really nice price point(one of the few we visited with solid wines for less than $ 20 per bottle). Great family story and it’s always fun to taste with one of the owners. We spent an hour trying the wines and sharing Chicago food favorites with Matt Glunz. Give them a shot — really fun tasting experience and fruit-forward, tasty wines. PS complimentary tasting! PS Matt, if you’re reading this, I’d give you five stars just for the recommendation to get the duck nachos at Villa Creek. Holy hell, those were good.

Love this place. That family history and love/fun going into the wines here is awesome. Such a fun and personal experience having your wine poured by the wine maker, Matt is awesome. I don’t like white wine and usually don’t like most of what I taste on a pour list but I loved everything I tried here. The tawny port is AMAZING!!! stock up!

The brother’s at Glunz provide guests with a great familial experience and education to pair with exceptional wine tasting. The 10-Year Tawny and 25-Year Port are out of this world! A must-try new winery in Paso!

While doing some wine-tasting along Highway 46 we discovered the relatively new Glunz Family Winery and are glad we did. We were greeted by 2 brothers in the family responsible for all aspects of the wine business out of Paso Robles. We were treated to a complementary wine tasting including one of the few Grenaches of the region and even their own Vin Glugg(Winter mulled wine). On top of that we tasted their port, all of which were outstanding. We promptly joined their wine club and picked up a few bottles for ourselves and as gifts for the holidays. Don’t miss this spot on your wine-tasting trip down the 46!
