Pre-festival dinner. Wine and food were great. It was a great time with great folks. Can’t wait for my next visit!

We’ve been touring wine tasting rooms in the Paso Robles area for a few days. Without a doubt our favorite winery was the Cass Winery. The wines were excellent but what set them apart was the wine tasting experience. You actually sit at a table and they bring the wines to you for tasting. You taste at your own pace. The staff were excellent and very knowledgable. I definitely recommend the food. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was better than the best I’ve had in the Carolinas. It’s a little out of the way but we’ll worth a visit.

Excellent wine and delicious food! It is so rare that you find a winery that serves food but this place does. Benny’s burger just might be the best thing you’ll ever eat! He cures his own bacon and even blends some in with the beef for flavor. Our favorite wine was the Mourvèdre — and they also have a good dry rose for a hot summer day. Lovely grounds and tables. We have kids and they loved checking out the chickens and roosters. We got there not long before closing and the staff were very accommodating — even letting us order food at the very last minute. If you are in the area, I recommend this place for the wine and the food!

First of all, this winery is beautiful. My best friend got married here and I cannot brag enough. The food was absolutely phenomenal. For lunch before the wedding, I had the Tri-Tip sandwich with a side salad and it was absolutely delicious. The wine samplings were great! All the food and wine at the wedding was amazing. Every staff member I came in to contact with was both friendly and helpful. Whether you are looking for lunch, wine tasting, or a wedding venue, I highly recommend this place!

This winery has a great kitchen and menu to go with it. The wines are good to above average for the Paso area; but the food is terrific. The crab cakes are among the best I have ever has anywhere. We also had the Pozole(yum) and a salad which I forget what it was exactly. We sat outside on the patio which is next to the parking lot(could have been somewhat more attractive, but still pleasant enough). A really great place to go for lunch in the East Paso area and if you are on a wine tasting tour – yes, put it on your list!

Cass has great wine AND they offer some nice EATS as they have a chef on the premises. The other day on our eastside trip we stopped in for a tasting and a bite. We had dinner plans so we did not want to go crazy. We ordered and split the Pulled Prk sandwich. It was heavenly and the ability to wash it down with fermented grapes makes it all the better. Cass does provide some pretty good juice but it is a little too pricey for my budget.

I absolutely fell in love with this winery on our visit. Great Rhone varietals, with an amazing farm to table concept. Very impressed that this tasting room has a little café. Knowledgeable staff that seem to absolutely love their job and have a passion for the wine as if they themselves made it. I love to see that sort of thing translate all the way through to excellent wine and excellent customer service. We had the Benny Burger, which was amazing and the Crab Cakes. They paired the Burger with their Rockin One Red Blend and the Crab Cakes with their Rose and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. I will definitely be recommending this tasting to all on their visit to Paso Robles. Cheers Cass Winery!

Great service, ok vino. Whites were good but the Reds were lackluster. However, nice little grocery with fun cheese, awesome pairing options, and wonderful people to pour for us. I’d go back for the atmosphere, cheese and the Viognier, but probably not for reds.

We stopped here a few weeks ago on a recommendation from a friend. She suggested the«Benny Burger». It was very tasty, not your average burger, a little more on the gourmet side. The wine tasting is included in the price of your meal. We sat outside and they bring the tastings your table. This is our 2nd time here in two weeks headed back to the coast. The patio area and grounds are beautiful. Our servers were, Ashley, Kayla, and Miranda, very friendly, attentive and knowledgable about the wine and food. Buster the dog was making the rounds greeting all the guests. We loved the 2013 Grenache

Good selection of Rhone whites and Reds. 100% Viognier, Marsanne and Rousanne which is rare to find in the land of many blends. With the highlight of their Cab and Grenache I always enjoy their tastings. Food is fantastic and the service matches. The tri-tip sandwich, although served cold, is delicious as are the crab cakes and the burger. Never a bad meal here. Off the beaten path and always welcoming, check out the great wines and join for lunch if you have the time. Only negative is the food is a little on the pricey side if you’re feeling cheap.

Beautiful out of the way location, great service and very tasty food. They have unique blends– really enjoy the Viognier and Granache. Have visited twice and will continue to do any time we are in Paso Robles.

Total Cassholes! I came here for lunch upon recommendation from another winery. Food was not bad but the service was terrible. Not in the sense of the physical serving of food and taking of orders, but the waitress and all the tasting room servers were blonde chicks who look and act how the female children of the damned would be if they hit their thirties. Mind you, I was buying an extensive lunch with wine for a table of 7 when my dad asked if they had a high chair(the adults had been taking turns walking my daughter around the property so she wouldn’t be stuck at the table, we thought we would make her a little plate to eat). The waitress smirked and said«we aren’t trying to encourage that» turned around and walked away. I did leave her a tip because I always do, which she desperately needed because, despite the rotten attitude, we were pretty much the only people in there that afternoon. Their wine is only OK btw.

I don’t write reviews unless I want to give people 5-stars, so you know this place is incredible! My two good friends and I took a road trip to Central California. On our way down, we thought it might be nice to do some wine tasting and we are so glad we chose Cass!!! First«legit» wine tasting ever and I was so impressed. Got to this place right in time for lunch and we were welcomed with live music, sunshine, and a warm breeze. Food ranges from $ 18 – 20 but includes wine tasting which I thought was a steal. I’m seeing that some Unilocalers didn’t like that there was a set menu for wine tasting but I actually preferred this, since I’m quite an amateur to wine. Our server Katie was so kind and informative with the first couple tasters. Once we were done with our food(I recommend the burger but I’m also sad I didn’t get the chance to try the crab cakes), the owner Steve, was kind enough to give us a mini tour of the winery! We learned so much about the wine and had a great conversation. Both were so nice and welcoming, I can’t rant and rave much about this place. I look forward to returning!!!

Was biking past Cass a couple of months ago and stopped into see if they had any food– turns out they have lovely food! Had a smoked chicken salad I will not soon forget – chicken smoked over grapevines and the most delicious dressing. My companion had a burger and said it was outstanding. Plan to return soon! June 2015. Update. I have returned twice to Cass by car and have enjoyed lunch there along with the wine tasting pairing. I didn’t do the wine tasting when I first stop there on my bike. It is a lovely way to spend a lunchtime or afternoon, I can recommend sitting out on their lovely patio with the beautiful views of their courtyard, their lovely wines and their delicious food. Last time I was there one of the winemakers was pouring one of their library winds and that was a very nice treat. Bonus for Tesla drivers they have two charging stations in the parking lot!

We were looking for a casual, laid back place to have our rehearsal dinner this past June and checked out CASS after having visited for a tasting on a previous trip. We ended up working with Kelley to come up with a menu and ended up doing a taco bar with S’mores for dessert. It was AMAZING and surpassed all of our expectations. Our guests were blown away by the beautiful, quaint set-up, amazing food and great wines. I would recommend Cass for any type of special occasion. Great food, great wine and a memorable spot for family and friends.

Such a great place to stop! The atmosphere of the patio can’t be beat. You can sit outside and do the wine tasting along with some food. We had the cheese and meat plate along with the fresh bread. The food was all amazing. Paired well with the 6 wines they give you to sample. My husband and I are big dog people — especially the bully breeds so we took right away to having Buster, the vineyard’s dog, hanging out with us out there. He’s awesome. Only reason it got 4 instead of 5 stars is that they have a preset 6 wines for you to sample instead of you choosing, so a couple were misses since they weren’t our type of wine. But aside from that, great wine, food and atmosphere. Already looking forward to going back!
