The food was delicious and excellent customer service !! They have a large selection of beers and you can order a flight of beers. The pizza was great, I ordered the unlimited topping one(it was delicious and I fortunately had leftovers). I will definitely come back to pizza press ! :) Also, great selection of music.

Good place to bring the family. We found out about this place from a Groupon. Good pizza, and good selection of beers on tap! Danny, the manager, was very accommodating and treated us well. I’d definitely recommend this place… either that, or the beer is talking. .lol

Let just said my tummy is happy. The ingredients are fresh and the ambiance is very spacious. Clean place and friendly staff. Tiramisu was delicious. Danny and Robert provided excellent customer service. Great place to hang out if you are studying at PCC.

Came here for the first time after buying their Groupon for 2 pizzas, beer, and a salad for $ 20(REALLY awesome deal). The staff was super friendly in explaining to us their different options and beer selections(you get 2 free samples!). You can choose from their signature pizzas or make your own with the option of UNLIMITED toppings to choose from for both. I got the The Chronicle signature pizza and added some pepperoni and arugula to it while my SO got the Tribune with bourbon bacon added. Came out piping hot and super crispy, just the way I like my pizzas. I LOVED the thin crust and combined with the beer they recommend everything was perfect! Will definitely be back again!

Great pizza place! I’ve been here a few times and had a wonderful experience each time. The food is great and the service is excellent. I usually get the«publish your own pizza» option for $ 8.25. They’re generous with the portions and have many to choose from. I will be returning. They share a parking lot in the back with 7/11, Subway, and Au79.

A slightly better carbon copy of Pizza Studio with higher quality ingredients and an odd theme; journalists do like pizza but doesn’t everyone? Whereas Pizza Studio was styled after Subway, Press is more LA-centric and is well-endowed with gentrification. Everything inside is wooden or black and pizza is served on a baking paddle. There’s even a functional typewriter at the cashier, because a $ 30 thrift store spree means a lifetime of thematic restaurant flavor. The pizza tastes great. I’d always recommend making your own over their pre-concocted concoctions, insulation against dissatisfaction but also fun. They don’t offer different crusts like the Pizza Studio but have more cheeses and toppings. My fave is the roasted garlic cloves paired with the minced garlic, but vampires need not apply. They also have fresh cookies and desserts on offer and cookies come with your pizza. For 8.25 it’s a great value for money and a fantastic lunch spot to bring the family.

I came here on a Thursday morning around 11AM(opening time), and there were a few other customers inside the restaurant. All of the servers were super nice and patient. The man who was helping me patiently answered my questions and wasn’t judgmental or annoyed at all when I didn’t like the sound of certain ingredients. Even better is that we got free cookies! In my opinion, Pizza Press’s crust is tastier and sturdier than Blaze’s. This means that I can easily pick up my slice without ingredients flopping and spilling all over the place. I’m definitely coming back here whenever I’m in the area or craving some pizza.

Everybody here is always SO friendly and happy! Ron and Robert are very patient and sweet to all the guests. I came here before closing & was properly served. These two make guests want to come back – great tasting pizzas with GREAT energetic vibes! Best pizza in town, definitely my go to spot for some late night pizza! :-) (beats blaze… ooops)

Food is great! Service not so much. Got home to see this in the middle of my pizza. Not picky person but I don’t want plastic in my food! Ranch cup was placed in the middle of my pizza. Why, I don’t understand.

I actually can’t love on this place more. Stumbled upon it after a particularly painful dance lesson with my boyfriend. I was feeling guilty(whoops) so we opted for compensation by way of «that pizza and beer place over there» and thank god, because now it’s become a tradition and I think if it was closer to our house I might be 4,000 pounds. The best part of Pizza Press is that they let you add as many toppings to your make-your-own pizza as you want. As. Many. As. You. Want. No limits. No questions. Want a 5-inch tall pizza? THEYWILLDOIT. And I love them for it. The toppings themselves are fresh and delicious, and the sheer number of them is impressive in its own right. From the first decision between three different kinds of sauces, as well as lots of «sauce mix ins» to add on like garlic, sundried tomatoes, etc, to the second(lengthy) decision of many cheeses(smoked gouda, yessssss), multiple meats(TWO kinds of pepperoni?! sausage, bacon, ham, etc etc etc), and seemingly endless veggies(onions, tomatoes, artichokes, peppers, corn, olives, chives, mushrooms… it goes on and on!), you could definitely spend more time picking out all your toppings than actually indulging in your slices! After all the deciding has happened, you say goodbye to your pizza for a few minutes as it makes its way through the oven. While that’s happening, the friendly pizza-pressers are more than generous with beer samples and very helpful at picking out any additional sides or desserts you may want. Beyond the oven, there lies a great selection of pizza topping toppers(Yo dawg, I heard you like toppings. So I put some toppings on your toppings to make your toppings topped.) that include rosemary(not to be missed), cilantro, hot pepper, parsley, BBQ sauce, and lots of other tasty additions. Honestly, if you come here and don’t like it, you have no one to blame but yourself. Pizza Press is setting you up for success with all these options and I’m genuinely SO happy to go back time and time again!

This place is amazing! You can build you’re own pizza with different kind of sauce, meat, veggies. && they have great beer selection. We ordered one pizza and the cashier was so generous he gave us different type of beer to see which one I liked. & if you show that you checked in on Facebook you get a free dessert or free cookie.

Being such a loyal Blaze Pizza fan, I’ve never been to a Pizza Press. I never really go to Pieology either. Needless to say, I love pizza and my love for pizza knows no bounds and so it just made sense to go to The Pizza Press’ grand opening. Being across from PCC, I’m sure they’re getting a lot of business now. Everyone was friendly and on their A-game on grand opening day despite it being a madhouse! Much props to them. I went with one of the Signature Pizzas on their menu– the Gazette. It is the only vegan signature pizza and it was amazing. Instead of regular cheese, they sub it with Daiya vegan cheese. The base is extra virgin olive oil and the toppings included roasted garlic, red onions, grape tomatoes, spinach, roasted zucchini and squash. I remember asking for additional toppings(mushrooms, jalapeños, olives, and artichokes — vegetables galore!) and they were fine with it. They then added wild arugula and chimichurri sauce to my pizza after it was all fired up and ready. What makes Pizza Press unique is that right at the end of the line, you have the choice of adding herbs, spices, and sauces on your pizza. Some of those sauces include BBQ sauce, basil pesto, and ranch. I actually asked for rosemary and it just made my vegan pizza all the better. I had two slices right then and there and took the rest of it home. I got home, put on a movie(‘Her’), ate the rest of my pizza, and took a nap. It was absolute bliss.

Finally gave this a try! Build your own pizza like pizza rev and blaze… but better. Crunchier dough, no soggy middle, and lots of toppings to chose from! I ordered half and half. Don’t remember the names. I think it was tribune and the Hawaiian one and they were delicious! The workers are very friendly too! And how awesome are their outfits?!? This is my new favorite place! Can’t wait to eat their yummy pizza again :)

Pasadena has more pizzas per square foot than a Humboldt State dorm lounge two hours after a Cypress Hill concert. Most are Rube Goldberg assembly lines overstaffed by jumbo sized oompa loompas who each have dominion over a single topping. When yet another seeming example sprouted up, I scoffed and looked askance. Until I was starving one day and just said to myself«may as well have pizza from this generic pizza place» Mea Pizza Culpa, because this place is AMAZING. Not only is it fantastic pizza, but it has distilled and concentrated the DIY pizza concept to such a degree that it is nearly the Platonic Ideal of Pasadena Pizza. Aside from the great tasting pizza, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and several cuts above the typical causal dining server. And if that still hasn’t convinced you, just take a look at their tap beer selection: enough to impress even the most jaded beer snob. All at a shockingly affordable price.

Build your own pizza at its best. Dare I say, the pizza here may be better than that of Blaze. It’s worlds better than the atrocious Pizza Rev, the bastard child of the Chipotle empire. You can see the difference in the quality of the ingredients. The service here is always accommodating and friendly. I like that you can choose any of the pre-set pizzas and add extra toppings to make it your own at the same price as a build your own. Yes, ma’am.

Move over 800 Degrees, Pieology, and Blaze; there’s a new pizza king in town! Their«Publish your Own» allows you to make your pizza with as many toppings as you like. I love that they don’t nickel and dime you for each ingredient like other personalized pizza places. They don’t skimp on the sauce and the ingredients are really fresh. I loaded my pizza with 3 different meats and my favorite pizza toppings. If you can’t decide what you want, they also have their specialty pizzas. The pizza goes through a small conveyer belt oven/press. It really does remind me of newspapers coming right off the press! Although I use to like the idea of 800 Degrees wood-fired ovens, but parts of the pizza usually gets burnt. Pizza Press’ pizzas in my opinion are perfectly cooked! The one thing that completely won me over was their draft beer selection. Full bars don’t have as much draft beers as they do! I got a beer and a Publish Your Own for only $ 15! Pizza Press has won me over, will definitely be back for more!

Another fun build-your-own pizza place but with even more options! I stopped by in Saturday at lunchtime to check the place out. Apparently, there is parking in the back but I lucked out and found a street spot right in front. The place has a fun vibe and plenty of seating. The employees were cheerful and very friendly. The ingredients all seemed very fresh and there was a wider variety than Blaze. Mmm, sundried tomatoes and roasted garlic. I was especially happy when I got to the end of the assembly line where they have the finishing toppings: they had balsamic glaze! I LOVE that stuff! The beer selection was also quite fun; I tried a sample of a blood orange wit and the pineapple cider. The cashier told me they are also offering beer flights as of a few days ago. As for the pizza? Tasty! I liked that they are able to get the crust crispier than other places I have tried. The price was slightly higher than Blaze but I liked the better variety of toppings. I will return!

Yummy pizzas and excellent customer service! They have their signature pizzas and you can also«publish your own» for $ 8.25. I suggest getting the publish your own so that you can put whatever you want on your pizza! Here’s a tip, get a side of BBQ sauce, it’ll make any pizza taste good! Lol They’re very generous with the toppings and given that it’s a new restaurant, the workers are super nice and welcoming. The restaurant atmosphere is very chill and I love they’re playlist! They also sell beer! There’s street parking and also parking in the back. Happy eating! :):)
