High road is cool. Everyone that works here is very mellow and easy to talk to. They are always flexible with payments and rescheduling. I’ve been trying to figure out what air fresheners they use here because the smell is pretty strong like raspberries. Its one of those smells that will forever remind you of dui school. The program is easy peasy, thwres no homework or assignments, just show up with a decent attitude and if the teacher is in a good mood they’ll let you go early.

This 13 week court mandated program was supposed to be punishment for a gigantic mistake I made. But I must say, where else would I have gotten the opportunity to watch some stellar old films? Films such as: ~‘Under The Influence’~ Andy Griffith plays Noah Talbot, a long-time alcoholic whose drinking begins to have a devastating effect not only on his personal life but on his family, including his son Eddie, played by the incomparable Keanu Reeves. ~‘When A Man Loves A Woman’~ An airline pilot(Andy Garcia) and his wife(Meg Ryan) are forced to face the consequences of her alcoholism when her addictions threaten her life and their daughter’s safety. While the woman enters detox, her husband must face the truth of his enabling behavior. ~‘My Name Is Bill W.’~ Based on the true story of Bill W.(James Woods), a successful stock broker whose life falls apart after the stock crash of the 20’s and how he comes to grips with his alcoholism. Along with a fellow alcoholic(James Garner) he forms a support group that would eventually become Alcoholics Anonymous. Just to name a few. I think there is a similar theme to these movies, do you see it? How can this be called punishment? Seriously, it’s oodles and oodles of fun. I can’t wait to go back to see what classic 1980’s movie I get to watch this week.
