Great service. Loved the sticky rice and Mango. The drunken noodles were not made fresh, and we’re not great. The Chicken and Shrimp Pud Thai however were fresh and delicious. The spring rolls were also great! This is the ONLY Thai place near Severna Park. I would definitely try it again.

Mr. Dennis and his staff are outstanding. I go here with my wife for all occasions: to celebrate, after a long week, for a family dinner, because I don’t feel like cooking. The curries are phenomenal, the soups are to die for, the Thai classics are incredible, the atmosphere and staff are second to none and the drinks should not be overlooked. This is the kind of place that you go to for dinner, but you have them box up half of your entrée because you had a soup, spring rolls, and dessert and you needed to save room. Never fear, your leftovers will be phenomenal whenever you get around to eating them as Mr. Dennis and his staff use the freshest ingredients. I personally recommend the Tom Yum Soup, Spring Roll, Shrimp Pad Thai, Red Curry Shrimp(Thai Hot), Fisherman’s Stew, the Muay Thai drink, a Thai Ice Tea with Cream and Rum(also known as the ‘Natalie’), and of course Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. That being said, everything is awesome. Don’t get discount Thai food: it’s not the same. This is gourmet Thai food in a classy establishment without all the pretension that usually comes with such delicious food. Cheers

My wife wanted Thai food and we took friends for her birthday. We had four different dishes and shared. We loved them all. Great place.

I eat here once a week as the location is just down the street from my office and the food is seriously amazing! Their panang curry chicken is my favorite though I also really like their drunken noodles. The portion sizes are generous and the staff are friendly and accommodating.

Um… well…I really don’t know what to feel right now. I ordered takeout from here… drunken noodles with chicken. The server who took my order informed me that they don’t use the wide noodles that are typically found in drunken noodles at other Thai restaurants. I didn’t think it was a big deal as long as the flavor was the same… but the flavor wasn’t the same. It was definitely lacking something that I’m used to tasting. So someone is lying here… either Bangkok Oriental or all the other Thai restaurants that I’ve tried. I don’t know. And another thing that I found odd is that it had the spice but it didn’t have the flavor. How does that even happen? Again, I don’t know. To me, drunken noodles is a dish that has that wow factor in the flavor department and I didn’t get that today. It wasn’t the worst but I’ve tasted better, at least, according to my tastebuds. The things that I did like are the portion sizes and the server’s willingness to explain what everything was when I had questions. I’m on a quest to find good Thai food close to home and this was my first time coming here. I usually give restaurants at least 2 or 3 chances before I make a final decision on whether or not I’ll return, unless it was extremely good or extremely bad which makes the decision easy. So Bangkok Oriental, I will probably see you again in the not-too-near future.

THUMBSDOWN!!! We were in the mood for Thai food and decided to try Bangkok Oriental because it is closer to our usually Thai food spot(Bangkok kitchen) because we moved. We were the only customers in the restaurant on a Tuesday night(08⁄04). The restaurant needs a good cleaning and can use some updating. We sat down and went with our usual app, Larb Gai. I ordered it and requested it with sticky rice. The waiter looked at me crazy and asked if I wanted regular rice, or sticky rice, I told him we wanted sticky rice. He started explaining to me what sticky rice was. I was polite and listened and told him that we still wanted to sticky rice. The waiter had no idea that my mother is thai and I grew up on thai food. Explaining sticky rice to me was not necessary. When the Larb came out it was served with Romaine lettuce which was a first. I am use to it being served with cabbage. No big deal. I did have a problem with the sticky rice being covered in the coconut sauce. We didn’t want the dessert. During the app we did not see our server. Luckily, I located the water jug and was able to refill our waters. We refilled them ourselves three times! I’m pretty sure he was waiting in the back for our food, but it was still very annoying. Before ordering my meal, I asked the server if the chicken was fried. He said, «yes.» The menu does not do a good job explaining their entrees. I order Gai Puket at Bangkok kitchen and wanted to find something similar. When my meal came out it was not fried. It was pieces of chicken smothered in what looked like hot sauce with vegetables. I asked the server why he told me it was fried. He said, «oh, you want McDonald’s? «I said, «No. I explained what I usually order when I go to a Thai restaurant. He took the dish back and I ordered Pad Thai with shrimp. My husband ordered a beef dish and it was too spicy. I am use to spicy food but this was overwhelming. The Pad thai was ok. I requested it with beef but the waiter told me I could only get shrimp. Overall, this dinner was a huge disappointment. We will not be returning.

UPDATED11÷11÷15 — Bangkok Oriental is one of our favorite take out choices! The pad thai is just fantastic and the servings are plentiful. We get the shrimp pad thai and veggie pad thai approx once a week and it is consistently great. We never wonder about the quality we are going to get. I can’t speak to any other items on the menu but the pad thai I definitely recommend!!!

My family has been eating here since as long as I can remember. The food is incredible, great portions for the price. The staff and owner are so nice and friendly. I’ve had great experiences both dining in and carrying out!

This location is a personal favorite thai spots for carryout. The food is consistently made above average quality and very flavourful — whether the dish is made traditional or thai-spicy — their whole menu has many dishes to choose from. 4 stars — great customer service, though this location is slightly more expensive than other competitive eateries in the area, but the relaxing atmosphere for lunch service cannot be beat. Be warned though, the neighbouring gym really cranks the volume up for evening sessions and can be unbearably loud between the thin walls.

This place is not good Thai. Ordered yum salad and pad see ew for lunch. The portion of salad was small and the celery was weird. Las someone who was had many Thai beef salads, didn’t think the celery went well and the beef wasn’t tasty. The pad see ew uses thin noodles which the waiter told me. This was fine as I had thin noodles and thick ones before. The issue was flavor. It tastes like it was cooked in baby corn juice, which from my experience not pad see ew. It was also very oily. They were very slow for lunch, I was the only one eating in. Disappointment, considering its 4 star average.

Quality of food = great! Taste of food = amazing! Drunken noodles, mango sticky rice, thai ice tea, green curry – all fantastic. When they say they’ll make something spicy, they definitely will! Atmosphere = lovely lighting, ambient jazz music, and décor. My only complaint, as well as one another table had that night, was that the servers took a really long time to bring us our checks.

simply phenomenal. food is flavorful and delicious. It’s nice going somewhere that folks recognize you too. One thing that stands out is getting vegetables along with your meail. I only order carry-out, so can’t say if that’s there for dine in, but getting the fresh steamed vegetables really adds a lot of value and flavor to the meal, not to mention nutrition ;-) It’s my new favorite Thai spot.

This place is amazing!!! The food is incredibly well made. The presentation is impeccable and the flavor has the perfect balance of richness and freshness. This is the best Pad Thai I have had on the east coast!!! The service and décor is inviting and warm. Just try it, you won’t regret it! FYI: the portions are HUGE.

We are addicted to the basil chili chicken, drunken noodles with scallops, and Pad Thai. We order them Thai hot. We discovered the restaurant about five years ago and were hooked immediately. Dennis and his team are committed to great service and outstanding food.

Although I’ve been to this place more than once, I just felt I had to rave about it now. We went with a group of friends to celebrate birthdays. The owner was wonderful and gracious. The food was fresh, tasty, and piping hot. I have never been disappointed with this restaurant.
