We found Splinters on a recommendation from the Solar Energy representative that we contacted. Splinters did an assessment of our home and made recommendations for energy efficiency. We have always loved our charming 1927 home, but it was consistently either too hot or cold even though we had installed central air and heat.
Neil and John identified the issues we had and educated us on how we could make our home more comfortable. They did the energy upgrade work for us, including right-​sizing our heating and air conditioning and insulating and sealing our house.
The work they did reduced our energy usage by about 38%. Just as importantly our home is always very comfortable now.
They also did a stunning bathroom remodel for us. This included beautifully executed tile work. The suggestions they made for design elements were spot on, producing a modern bathroom that respects the era of the house.
Working with them was the best contractor experience we have ever had, and we have had quite a bit of experience with other contractors. They were on-​time, on-​budget and took full responsibility for any problems that arose. The quality of their work was outstanding and every member of the team was invariably pleasant to be around. One detail we really appreciated was that at the end of EACH day they would clean up around the job site which minimized the impact of the ongoing work on our daily lives.
I would recommend them without any reservations. They are fabulous.
