This place saved my completely butchered hair.
I came in with uneven coloring and over processed hair, but BECKY was able to turn my chaotic mess into something pretty (Well as pretty as it could get considering how terribly damaged my hair was to begin with).
I am never going back to my previous salon ever again!!! Salon sessions is pretty pricey but I think it’s completely worth every penny because it’s your hair!!! You don’t want mediocre hairstylists that think they know what they are doing, to touch your hair.
So all in all, I def recommend this salon! Go in and get a consultation first if your not comfortable, that’s what I did and it made me trust my stylist so much more :)!!!

The best Hair Stylists I’ve found… Been here twice for 2 different looks and always pleased:) great customer service and you get what you pay for! Would Highly recommend to everyone! Jonathan Andrew in particular is hands down the best… See u soon

From red, to black, back to my original color and now blonde I’ve never been disappointed. My hair stylist Karissa Guerra is AMAZING ! Every girl has there one person they go to whether it be their nails or eyebrows, Karisaa is my girl. She does phenomenal work, every-​time I’m out I always get compliments and refer them to her. She is genuinely sweet and willing to fulfill whatever hair needs you Come to her for. I’ve known her for years/​coming to her for years and like I said there’s never a time where I’m not pleased !
As for the salon it’s very comfortable and everyone is very friendly and welcoming .

Naomi is my girl! She was originally at Brenton Lee in South Pasadena, but I followed her to Salon Sessions. I had loooong hair that needed a cut and highlights and she made me go from blah to FABULOUS! she gave me exactly what I wanted: subtle highlights and with long layers since I still wanted to keep some length. I have a lot of hair so the process did take a long time, umm 4 hours, but totally worth it! She’s young but she knows what she’s doing and I enjoyed chatting with her. Fast forward to last month, she trimmed my hair and re-​freshed my highlights so i looked fabulous for my wedding day! GO SEE NAOMI!

I found my new hair stylist after so many years! I went in for a haircut. My stylist Josh took his time which I really like! He pays attention to details. Anyway I left with an awesome cut. It was definitely well worth 50 $ ! I love the salon atmosphere it’s so nice and welcoming !

The receptionist LAURA LEE was INCREDIBLY SUPER RUDE.
I don’t normally complain on internet but the salon owner needs to know this.
I came to this place two times (yes I gave her two chances) before I wrote this.
I came to the salon, Laura greeted me nicely at first.
Once she heard that my stylist was not the top dollar ones, her attitude has a dramatic 180 degree change! She gave me bad attitude and bad face even I smiled at her and thank her. She PURPOSELY IGNORED ME when I talked to her and acted as if I was bothering her!
I didn’t expect this kind of customer service in such pricy salon. What was the owner thinking by placing her at the reception giving customers attitude? When I was sitting there getting my hair done, I heard Laura saying mean things to other hair stylists almost like office bullying. WOW. is it a TV drama place or something?
A reputable salon in Pasadena, I am NEVER coming back and I will tell all my friends NOT to come here ever again because they DON’T deserve to pay such price and be treated like crap. Your business is guaranteed gonna get ruined by this kind of rude attitude when you put someone like this as a manager. The whole atmosphere was intense and very uncomfortable because she was giving out all the negative energy and hard times to stylists and customers.

I made my very first trip to Salon Sessions this Friday, my first impression was“this place is beautiful” the salon itself is so elegant but not over the top, the front desk girl helped my right away and had me check in and then escorted me to this cute lounge, I’ve never been to a salon that has a waiting lounge, I was a bit early for my appointment and my stylist was prepping for me. They offered me coffee, tea or water. Finally I met with my stylist Brandy. I honestly had the best salon experience with him, he’s extremely nice and professional and not to mention adorable! He is very educated in hair and it shows. He did everything I asked for, he gave me the perfect color, and washed my hair afterwards. Brandy is a hair god. I can see why he is always so busy. I got so many compliments on my hair from social media as well from friends and family. I would honestly refer him to everyone that wants to dye their hair for the first, which I did, and especially fix a bad hair job, I follow him on social media and he has transformed so many bad jobs. I will be going back in two months two months. I will always go back to Brandy he is amazing and I trust him with my hair.

This place is dead, fancy all hype, no results. If I can give them zero star, I would. Worse dyed job everrr, what a waste of time and $$$. The reason why I came back cause my old stylist Ruth left to union salon, thought I give them a try again. Wayy too overprice for root touch up, $ 85 bucks? The receptionist quoted me $ 75, my color came off blahh, pulling red again, too much blending in with the rest of my highlight, no contrast which I dreaded, no wow affect, not worth the $ 85 bucks! The stuck up cashier wasn’t friendly at all. Going back to aveda hair salon, they do a perfect job more consistently, not worth a 2^nd trip… amateur work. Awful staffs member, asked the manAger if they can do a retouch free of charge, they will not accommodate, stated that it has been 3 weeks. It wasn’t my fault the stylist who did my hair wasn’t available on weekdays, there is a mishap in scheduling!!! One time business, they will lose a loyal cust for life, not a happy camper. Residual equal repeat business, dumbass™

BEST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD. omg I got a brasilian blowout by Anise, let me say that she is the besssst u can ever find my hair is super silky and straight with 0% damage… I couldn’t even wish for anything more… again shoutout to ANISE

Jane Jung moved here from Brenton Lee salon. I will follow here where ever she goes. Jane is a hair color specialist plus and edgy kind of hair cut and stylist. Finding the right person to color your hair takes research. She has a lot of education on this for sure! Need color correction or just the right color for your personality? Ask for Jane Jung, I always get compliments when I leave here.

Before this visit, my last visit was at a different salon for only a trim about ⁴⁄₅ years ago. So you could imagine how nerve wrecking it was coming alone, lol. Any-​who, the day before my appointment here, I had received a confirmation call, which was well appreciated. Everyone was so friendly and had smiles on their faces upon my arrival. My stylist is Jonathan and omg, he did more than I had expected! Showed a picture as an example of what I had wanted and he put his hands to work. Boy oh boy, did he work his magic. From cut, to color, to wash, to style, everything was awesome. My hair is no longer damaged and is so much healthier, phew.
I had came in with re-​growth, uneven color, and damaged ends. After a couple hours of waiting, I left with a healthy ombré color-​correct cut and I couldn’t have left any happier! Thank you so much: D

I found Rochelle through Instagram! She is so young and talented when it comes to hair. I will probably never let anyone color my hair after trying her. She knew exactly what I wanted. I got a mix of ombré and balayage. She left my natural color. I told her to do whatever she thought was best. Right from the start I trusted her completely. Aside from her talents with hair she is super friendly and easy to get along with.
The beauty salon is huge. Over 20 stations. The wash and dry section is also large. They have a wide selection of hair care and nice little waiting area that offers complimentary water, tea and coffee and fashion shows on tv while you wait. They also offered me pink lemonade, mimosas etc once I was helped.
The décor is cute too. All wooden mirrors with large chains hanging on them.
From the looks of it this place is good! Every stylist seems to have their own set of loyal customers.

SITREP
The last thing when I come down to L.A. for work is thinking about «getting my hair done.» But the good people of Salon Sessions make it easy to get an appointment and get a much needed cut & style for my hair.
THE SETUP
This is a very cutting-​edge establishment in terms of both the customer service and the physical layout of the salon.
Stylists and staff are super friendly & professional from when you first enter, and getting you set-​up with your styling session.
PHYSICAL PLANT
The physical plant of the venue is amazing. The giant mirrors at each station hang on INDUSTRIAL METAL LINKS from the ceiling and give it a dynamic feel.
ANABELLE!
Anabelle came and introduced herself to me and we had a great conversation about what I was looking for in my style. She rinsed my hair, cleaned my ears, head & neck area up, and styled my hair in ways I had not been bold enough to try myself. I have to give Anabelle major kudos for helping me explore better ways to style my hair.
THE LOWDOWN
I can give a hearty recommendation to Salon Sessions, Anabelle, and the rest of the staff for giving me a dynamic cutting-​edge hair experience! :)
