I will state the facts and you can make up your mind as to whether or not you want to use this company. Raymond Medrano, Owner was involved in our shower remodel from start to finish. The first issue was the fact that the tile man layed the tile wrong and we had to ask him to change a couple of spots that were cut small where he was trying to save himself some time. This was change to our liking, but only to discover that the grout they used was completely the wrong color. We chose a dark grout and they used a light color. I am not sure why you would assume on something like this, but they did. Of course it was too late to redo the grout so they stained it. When I told the owner about this he said it was ok because they stained it. When I brought up the fact that stain is temporary, he balked and said it would last a long time. The fact is that the stain is only guaranteed to last 1 year… I guess that is a long time to him. The second issue was that the shower curb was sloped out, so when we started using the shower, water would run out on our floor. I had to get the shower glass man and Raymond Medrano out together so that they could work out whose problem it was. When Raymond came out, he stood and looked at the curb and said«yep, it is sloped in.» When I asked if he used a level to determine this, he said that he could«see it with his eyes.» Ironically, his daughter that runs the office, let me know on the phone that I «needed a level to determine if it was actually sloped, because you cannot tell with the naked eye.» I knew this already and had determined with my own level(which I lended to Raymond) to come to the conclusion that the curb was not sloped into the shower. After lending the level to him, he still wanted to say it was sloped in. With the help of my glass man, we were all able to finally come to the correct conclusion that indeed the curb was sloped out. Raymond wanted us to pay for the glass man to remove the glass he installed, but after much arguing over this, he agreed to pay for it, since his company did this incorrectly. Medrano’s did come and fix the problem with the curb and it does not leak, however after using the shower we could tell that the shower floor was not sloped correctly. The corners actually slop down and collect water, so we have to get the water out so it does not mold. I will never again use this company. I had to actually tell them how to do their jobs. When you hire and pay for a professional service, they should know how to do the job professionally. The fact that he wanted to argue that the shower curb and floor was sloped is very disheartening. It does not take a rocket scientist to operate and read a bubble level. Pros — Convenient showroom Nice selection of tile Quick turnaround for installation Cons — Wrong grout color installed Tiles installed incorrectly Shower curb sloped out Shower floor not sloped in to the drain Contractors AND Owner do not use a level, but their eye! Rude office staff
