Leah is truly a master colorist. As a brunette who has gone blonde, I appreciate her attention to
1. Preserving a natural looking color, despite the drastic change.
2. Protecting my hair from damage
3. And perhaps most importantly, keeping it from turning brassy, which nobody else has been able to achieve.
I like the feel of this salon bc it’s not big, and in turn, the attention is really focused. Also, Leah goes out of her way to fit me in (even on a Monday) thus flexibility another key advantage here.

I got my hair cut here today by Leah and I absolutely love it! I had been growing out my hair for a really long time and was in major need of a cut that had more of a style to it which I had always felt was lacking in previous haircuts with other hairdressers. She really took her time and gave me some great tips on how to style my curly hair. I am in LOVE with my new cut and can’t wait to come back for my next cut :)

Leah gives great men’s cuts! I used to get my hair cut at an old school barbershop, but I found Leah one day when I needed to get an emergency haircut near work. Since then, I haven’t gone back! I always feel and look 100% better after I leave her chair. She made sure I looked good on my wedding day too when I got married last summer.
I’ve always hated getting haircuts since I was a kid. But Leah makes the experience enjoyable with her enthusiasm, professionalism and passion for her work.

I have been going to Adria for 17+ years. Did I just say 17 years, damn time flies. I love and trust her skills. She has made my hair look beautiful and healthy. She always suggests to try new things and she never lets me down. I always get compliments. I wanted a pop of color to my hair and Adria worked her magic. I love the pop of red she gave me. Honored for my hair to be in the hands of Jane Alea today! She did such an amazing job blending my color today and making it look exactly how i wanted. I couldn’t be more happier. I have been a blonde my whole life. I was tired of the blonde and needed a change. When I started growing out my natural i noticed lovely silver strands coming in. I thought there was no hope for me but to resort back to blonde.
After consulting with Jane she assured that she would be able to cover my grays. That was my fear of changing my hair from blonde to dark brown.
Before you know it I was in her chair and she prepped my base and slowly transformed me out of blonde. She did is exactly what I expected. I am so happy with my new do :)
Jane is a true artist. She knows the science of hair and i think that is so important especially transforming from blonde to dark. My hair is not damaged from the change.

I want to start off by saying I don’t normally do any type of review but felt the need to do one for my hairstylist Adria Romero.
Adria has been doing my hair for the past 14 years and has recently move to the Jane Alea Salon which I couldn’t be more excited about for her. One of the things that really impresses me about Adria is how she keeps up to date with the latest hairstyles and trends. She is consistently taking classes to learn new techniques for cut, color, updo’s, and braids. I’ve actually been lucky enough to have even been chosen by her as a model for a couple of these classes. (Boy do I wish I was a real model! I could get used to someone doing my hair all the time). I think the continued education for a hairstylist is the key for any great stylist. I mean who really wants to go to someone that does the same thing over and over again because they don’t have the skill to do anything different. Not me!
Adria is someone you can trust that your hair will be in good hands. In all the years she has done my hair, I never go to her knowing what I really want done. Most the time I walk in and just let her do whatever she suggests/​wants. She has never steered me wrong and I always walk out of my hair appointments feeling like a million bucks, like I should be going somewhere to show off how good my hair looks and cute I feel (come on you know we all feel that way). And quite honestly if you don’t leave a salon ever feeling like that you probably do need a new stylist. So I guess I’ll share mine with you.
But in all seriousness, Adria is my go to girl and I will always refer her to anyone looking for an awesome hairstylist. So give her a shot, guaranteed she will not disappoint!

Jane is simply the best! She is always keeping up with the latest hair trends and techniques which are so beneficial for her clients. She makes me beautiful! That is priceless.

Adria is my amazing hair stylist. She knows exactly what I want every time. I wanted to add some color to my hair and by color I mean blue Peekaboos. Adria did a fabulous job! I love my color and cut, I got so many compliments on my hair. She takes her time and her end results show. I am extremely happy and enjoy going to see her for all my hair needs.

Jane is awesome! I am so happy I found her, she is excellent with color especially with blondes! Jane also includes a blow dry when you get color, with other stylist you pay extra if you want it!

I had seen tons of photos of Jane’s amazing work and knew I had to try her out. I had shown her a pic of the color I wanted to achieve. Based on her plan of execution, I could tell that she was extremely knowledgeable in her craft. She is friendly and professional. She takes her time in providing the utmost service to all her clients. During my two appointments with Jane, I felt that my hair was in capable hands. She is truly an artist at what she does.

L-​O-​V-​E !!! I ABSOLUTELY ADORE MY HAIR! Jane is AMAZING, TALENTED, PASSIONATE, & the EPITOME OF PROFESSIONALISM! She invests in her business by consistently taking educational classes and staying up on current trends. Her commitment to excellence is very palpable. It’s a joy to be in her chair. She is in love with her work which is evident when she’s done creating and working her magic on any head of hair she gets her hands on! Jane is the only one I trust with my coveted tresses!!! Jane is AMAZING! having naturally very dark hair I’ve always been worried about being able to get bright vivid colored hair, she did not disappoint. She is so creative in color choice for my skin tone and personal style I basically gave her a idea and she ran with it. I couldn’t of been happier with the results. Between the color and new cut I left grinning from ear to ear. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next

Jane has been doing the hair of my girlfriend Elsa here for over 5 years. Elsa always look beautiful glamorous sophisticated and fresh. I noticed that my hair was looking thinner dry and brassy at the hand of my prior stylist I went to Jane. What a difference it is to have a amazing stylist… my hair is alive like the Sound of Music! Jane, as always, did an amazing job on my hair. I’ve followed her for years now and have never been disappointed. Even though I squeezed in for a late evening appointment, she took her time to make sure the color and cut lived up to the very high standards she sets for herself and it is obvious that her clients benefit from this as well. Also, this is a woman that never stops developing her craft. She is constantly taking classes and attending shows, and even watching YouTube videos to be the best that she can be. You can’t go wrong with Jane because she is at the top of her game.

First of all, Jane has been doing my hair for YEARS, and even after moving to San Diego, no one else touches my hair. I call her «the color Queen» for a reason. She listens to my vague idea of what I think I want and then interprets it into something even more stunning than I had imagined. I’ve gone from brunette to blonde and now to red with her, and I always leave the salon feeling like a million bucks.
The salon itself is lovely, too. Bright, clean, stylish. It’s small size lends to the atmosphere we all love in a hair salon – chatty and warm. They also carry really wonderful products to help you keep up your locks once you leave.

Jane is the best hairstylist I’ve been to in the last couple of decades. She worked with me to set up a regular schedule for color and cuts that keeps my long hair healthy and beautiful.

I sent my wife to Jane as an anniversary surprise (referred by my sister in law). She received a cut and color. being a guy, I don’t know too much about how it all works but what i DO know is that my wife walked out looking and feeling amazing! She has now rebooked with Jane for upcoming appointments.
