Real disappointed. Use to love the food here but it seems to have gone down hill big time. Ordered almost $ 200 in BBQ for a company lunch. Even though I called ahead, the order was not ready when I got there. They gave me pints of sides, even though I paid for quarts. We had to ration them for the people that were eating The ribs were bland and awful. I really don’t know what has happened to this place. They even wanted to charge me for plastic silverware on a $ 200 order!!! Too many good BBQ places in Pasadena to ever go back.

I got the brisket plate with the Cole slaw and potato salad. The meat and Bbq sauce didn’t really have any flavor. The potato salad still had uncooked pieces also did not heaved flavor. The Cole slaw was good. My boyfriend got the same thing exempt he got beans. They are just regular pinto beans. For what the price is i think k it should be less. Over all this place was regular. I will not be coming back.

Good brisket, pretty tender, and they have a pretty good BBQ sauce as well. I have been to this location a couple of times now, and wasn’t really impressed after either visit. While the meat is decent, it’s nothing to brag about. The side dishes they offer aren’t anything special either. If you’re a decent BBQ joint you have to have some decent sweet tea. Each time I visited the sweet tea tasted like it was made with dirty water, and didn’t have a very distinct tea flavor. Blame it on the chemical plants within a 1 mile radius.

What this place has going for it is location. It’s a convenient place for me to grab lunch quick without having to drive too far. I feel the prices are a bit too high relative to the quality of food. While the chopped beef is tender, it’s lacking in flavor. Not a stong smoked taste at all. The BBQ sauce looks good but is uninspiring,…again lacking in flavor. Portion size is large but that means nothing is the food is flavorless. The jambalaya side is a joke. Being a Louisiana native I find most jambalaya offerings are weak. This place is good to try once or if you need a quick bite but flavor wise it’s boring.

Amazing BBQ. The Chicken and Ribs were some of the best I’ve had! They have a great selection of meats and sides and you sure won’t leave hungry!

Not from here but was in the hotel next door so we figured why not. Was very satisfied. The hotel had a sign for a deal for guest to get BBQ meal for 19.99. The prize had change but they gave it to us for that price(for both nights we ate there btw). Outstanding customer service and food. Not a run of your meal typical flavored BBQ. I will drive the hour from home to eat BBQ here!!! Real Texas BBQ that’s not covered in sauces… ANDOMG there homemade bread is out of this WORLD!!!

My husband had been wanting to try this place for a while so we stopped in on thursday night about 7 pm. Not busy at all, there were only 2 customers there eating. They serve generous portions and the staff is friendly but the food was bland, not seasoned enough especially for barbecue. My husband ordered the chef salad with sliced beef and sausage and I ordered the cheese burger on jalapeño cheese bread. They give you the little packs of mayo and mustard to add to the burger yourself and if there was any jalapeño or cheese in my bun I certainly didn’t taste it. The hamburger patties as well as the sliced beef and sausage were all bland or as my husband says«it tasted like I was eating my shirt»

Super tender brisket! Excellent customer service! Can’t say my baked potato blew my socks off but I ended up eating the whole thing so it obviously wasn’t bad. I would have given it 3 stars but their friendly customer service knocked it up to 4. Overall a good dining experience. Definitely going to try a beef sandwich next time. Stay tuned…

This barbecue is fantastic. Nice family owned restaurant. Large portions and you can enjoy their homemade peach cobbler. Watch out for the atomic burger. It’s a belt buster.

Not good, brisket isn’t any good and their sausage isn’t any good either. I’ve been here twice at lunch time and both times they we’re out of turkey. One time I got the brisket and it was dry with no flavor. Tried the sausage the second time because they was out of turkey again. The sausage didn’t have any flavor and gave me bad heartburn afterwards. I won’t be going back here anymore.

A couple of my friends work in the Pasadena area and have mentioned this establishment before. Happened to be in the area and dropped by for lunch. As is my habit, I get the Texas trinity(brisket, ribs & sausage). My thoughts: Brisket — My slices were tender though lacking in smoke flavor. Not sure if the bark was trimmed off, but a little bit disappointing. Sausage — A little bit dry, but nothing that really stood out(good or bad). Ribs — The end pieces were a bit dry /overcooked. The ones to the center were flavorful and moist. Out of the three meats liked the ribs the most, wished they had all been cut more from the center. Mac & cheese — Was fresh, noodles were al dente and had good cheddar flavor Cole slaw — Fresh but not particularly interesting Overall, good if you happen to be in the area, but would not drive across town for it.

BBQ not that great, but the gigantic burgers make up for it. Lunch is PACKED! Every plant around here provides lunch customers. I don’t even know if they’re open for dinner.

Was good when the owner’s were there daily. Not so much anymore, the ‘management’ is over his pay scale. How hard is it to not put cheese on the BBQ baked potato? Took them three times to get it right… heck, I even heard and understood the«no queso»…the first time. Busy at lunch from the plant workers that don’t have the time to drive to a better choice.

Yum! Great place for BBQ, and by the looks of it, very popular too. I Had one of the best baked potatoes I’ve had for a long time. It was huge and although I was hungry, could only eat about ½ of it. I got the baked BBQ potato special for about $ 9. It had beef, bacon, sour cream and a bunch of other stuff that made it super Yummy! The main ingredient was, of course, BBQ sauce! The special also comes with a side order, which I chose the peach cobbler(yum!) and a huge drink. Definitely got my required liquid intake with that gigantic drink! Place is really cute in a Texas kind of way, and very Cow-boyish(he he). There is a small Derrick and a carriage outside, as decoration. Inside there are lots of Southern stuff. Deer horns, the napkin holders are lead lone stars, cowboy pictures, etc. The line was very long when we went in, but within 7 minutes we were ordering… could definitely have been worse. Love the place, too bad wont be able to go on a regular basis… it is just too far from my job!
