I love this place! Although I order the same thing every time I eat here, it’s always delicious and filling. The Grilled Trout with garlic butter sauce is sublime. I’ve had it with both fries(the best) or Brown rice and I think the fries are better. Their cole slaw is the perfect mixture of veggies and mayo and I could it alone and be happy as a clam. You should give it a try.

I took my wife and kids here for a late Sunday lunch. I’ve seen the ads come across my Facebook feed and decided to give them a try. I ordered the snapper fish plate with a michelada, my wife ordered 2 cat fish tacos, and we got the girls each a kids fish & chips plate. I was the first to receive my order, and when I saw what was being served I got upset. My snapper plate came with 2 small 1“x4″ pieces, on a bed of cabbage since I opted out of the rice and ordered fries. My wife received her order next after about 3 – 4 minutes, and finally the kids got their plates after another 3 – 4 minutes after my wife’s tacos arrived. At this point I was hungry and ate my fish, my wife saw what miserable portion of fish I got and gave me one of her tacos. Well at least I had my michelada to make up for the disappointment. WRONG the michelada had a chemical taste to it, they use a premade mix, which explains the taste. I drowned the michelada with lemons and salt to get that disgusting taste out of it. Needless to say this place is a joke, and over priced. I don’t recommend this place.

Came here once and never stopped. I’m here at least 4 – 5 times a month. Great location on Lower Lake.

I’ve been here twice. So here are the things that I got. The Cajun style Salmon is so good! Highly recommended. Their Mahi taco was ok. Standard fish taco. Nothing special about it. The Cajun style seared Ahi Tuna with garlic butter sauce is really good too. Also highly recommended. The Scallops with garlic butter sauce I would not recommend. It was expensive at $ 16.90 and I only got 5 Scallops. Well 4 and a ½ really. One was broken and I didn’t get the full piece. I would avoid this one. The fish dishes from the charbroiler are better value for your money. The Shrimp Plate Fryer was pretty good too. The coleslaw that the plates come with is good but it has raisins so that was a little weird to me. Garlic bread is not bad too. Their hot sauces are good though. The blazing hot and tomatio hot sauces. I don’t think I spelled the second one right. All and all I would come back. I like it here.

My second time here and I have to say it has being a good experience. I like their variation in the menu… from fish to chicken. There’s something for everyone. It’s also a healthy choice and not too expensive. After 3pm you can order shrimps, oysters, just like the same concept as boiling crab, but I have to say their sauce and condiments are not the same so don’t expect too much. Great customer service and fresh food. I’m definitely going back!

I was on a diet of fried fish and fries the other day and I have to say this hit the spot. I bought the fish and shrimp combo with fries. All combos come with fries, garlic bread, and coleslaw(it has raisins in it). The food was actually seasoned, and fried to perfection. I really enjoyed the taste of my meal. Having gone on a weekday evening, I found them to also be prompt as well, even though there was a steady flow of dinner patrons. The only draw back was the amount of fish and shrimp in proportion to the fries. I got only one piece of fishand and like 4 – 5 medium sized butterflied shrimp. We all know the butterfly trick. :/ Aside from that, I still enjoyed my food and experience. I just added it to my «restaurants I go to when I’m feeling like I want to have some fried tasty goodness list».

Surprisingly very good. I had Cajun style mahi mahi. The fridge fish and shrimp look good as well. The portions are large and fish was cooked perfectly. I will definitely go again.

One should expect not to have the greatest quality of fish in the world as most items here are below $ 15. That being said, there aren’t tons of casual dining, seafood focused places, so they fit a needed niche. My go to item is the grilled mahi mahi burrito. Moist fish, good veggies, and a diverse salsa bar to add some extra heat to the burrito. Their fish plates are pretty good as well, coming with sides of rice and/or vegetables. Overall, a very reasonable price for what you get. The only downside is that orders can take a little while, but that is a byproduct of the fact that the fish is cooked right there and then. Don’t come to Fish Dish expecting top quality product. Rather, you get a solid seafood meal at a price that won’t break the bank.

My grilled teriyaki salmon was cooked perfectly and the teriyaki sauce was on point. My boyfriend also loved his charbroiled mahi mahi with garlic butter sauce! Best thing was that we left this place feeling full and happy with what we ate without any guilt! Yummy and healthy food! We super love this place!

This has to be one of the best healthy alternative to fast food places. Name says it all its a fish dish, my favorite is the grilled cajun salmon… But if im being a pig i may add a clam chowder or fried fish taco.

Good food, good service, and solid portions for the price. The fish seemed fresh and was well-seasoned. It’s not bad for fast-food — I would rather come here for a fish dinner than a typical sit-down restaurant.

Not bad, but not great. I tried the salmon burrito, and I was unimpressed. That being said, I might go again to try their fish and chips.

I really like this place! I got take out for my first time on Saturday and it is pretty rad! I really look forward to dining in! I ordered a swai salad; 9 $, and their hot sauces are AWESOME. Friendly service, great prices, casual atmosphere. I could eat here every night.

I like to support local business so I decided to write about the hidden treasure. Tried the boiling shrimp for the first time(similar dish to boiling crab). To my surprise it was very tasty. I ordered the mild sauce with the 3 flavors all combined. Solid portions — probably close to a full pound of shrimp for $ 10.99. Personally I’m tired of reading about how people bash small businesses. my advice– don’t go! If you don’t have nice things to say, your parents should have told you to keep it shut. You can tell, I’m quite ashamed of reading reviews by fellow Asians. Give fish dish a try! It just may surprise you.

Fish dish is a great place to eat fresh seafood. Tasty food with great flavor, a true gem. They give you a good amount of food for the price, which is always good in my book. The reason I gave it 3 stars is the customer service is a little shotty. Can’t excuse it for good food though highly recommended

Far from fancy, but I definitely fancy their food! They have an array of fish dishes(duh, hence the name). I’ve tried their charbroiled dishes, pastas, and burritos. Everything is really good, but my go-to dish is the charbroiled Mahi Mahi or Tilapia with garlic butter sauce and white rice. It also comes with garlic bread and cole slaw. I usually go after the gym and pick up my order to go. Not sure if I’m just famished after the gym or if the food is that good, probably both. I always finish my plate clean! If you’re into soda, they also have the Coco-Cola Freestyle machine! Definitely worth a try if you are wanting something healthy-ish and craving fish!

One of my go-to’s on Lake when I’m craving a quick lunch. They have a vast menu so there’s plenty to choose from. The main focus here is the fish obvi. I have tried both the plate and the burrito. I must say, the salmon burrito is my favorite thing here. It’s pretty huge and generous with the fillings, so you probably won’t need to be ordering any sides with this one. Although the burrito is my favorite, I usually order the white fish plate with rice. The first time I got the plate, the fish was grilled really nicely and cooked well. The second time, the fish was overly grilled and actually was a little hard, so one star knocked off there. I also love the salsa here and the dark red one is spot on with the spiciness. I have only stuck to the burrito and plates and never ventured towards the tacos or salads. But have to say the plates and burritos are well worth the price! I find the serving sizes to be more on the generous side. I always order to-go so maybe they just pack a little bit more? I’m keeping this four stars for the convenience and I always seem to be cleaning my plate everytime I eat here. It’s a nice alternative to lunch instead of your usual sandwich.

Pretty nice place with a great menu. They have a lot of good selections, so you may end up like me and stare at the menu board for a while. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is pretty good. The first time I went, I ordered a Mahi Mahi burrito that was REALLY good. You can choose between regular and cajun. They also have a garlic butter sauce that you can add as well. I’m pretty sure the garlic butter sauce was made with some type of shellfish stock. The burrito came with chips, but they weren’t anything to brag about. They were probably straight out of the bag. Another thing I like about this place is that they have a self-service salsa bar. I also ordered the popcorn shrimp with fries. The shrimp wasn’t «popcorn» at all. It was normal-sized shrimp with a tempura batter. Unfortunately the shrimp didn’t have any flavor to it. The shrimp itself was decent, but the tempura batter was flavorless. The fries that came with the shrimp were good though. I saw a sign when I was there that said $ 2 tacos, so I had to come back the next day for Taco Tuesday. I ordered 4 tacos; mahi mahi, salmon, shrimp and fried fish(haddock) and they were all good. The tacos came with slaw and a few other toppings. The seafood in the tacos were good, but I didn’t care for the corn tortillas. I would have preferred flour or a corn tortilla that was less dry. I really wanted to enjoy the fish by itself, but I had to add salsa to it in order for them to not be so dry(because of the tortilla). Overall, the place has good service and a good menu selection. They have tv’s and I think they serve beer there as well. Some items were better than others, but I would definitely go back to try something else.

Fish Dish isn’t fancy, but it gets the job done and is my go-to for fast-casual when hankering for some fresh,(somewhat) healthy fare on South Lake Avenue. Without fail, I always order the $ 3 beer of the month, which in my last two months of hitting up the establishment has been Shock Top. It is the perfect complement to a mahi taco or burrito. I reserve ordering the burrito for when I need a larger, more substantial meal, while the tacos are a nice snack or post-workout nosh. I’m bewitched by their tortillas. Usually I’m not one to get giddy over cheap corn tortillas(they usually leave an unwanted sour aftertaste), but these prove to be anything but that generic masa you get from other chain-ish eateries touting a Baja-inspired menu. They’re more on the thick side and the consistency makes for a full bite of flavor in every bite until the very end. The tortilla doesn’t fall apart or shred out… it’s the proper vessel for the concoction inside. I always do grilled mahi(cajun). I did opt for a grilled shrimp, too, during the last visit, and it was a stand out, so I might deviate from my norm next time to try out their variety of other fish options. The burrito is packed with cilantro rice, fish, cabbage, and other accoutrements… they had me at cilantro rice. Service is friendly and efficient, and it’s not a bad hit to your wallet. Indoor and outdoor seating. Free parking is located behind the restaurant.

Boyfriend wanted fish for dinner so we headed here again — yet again I ordered the White Fish but this time with Fries — their rice was no good. This time the fish was even worse than the last time — I think it’s their grill cause the fish had an strong burnt taste to where the grill impressions were. I really didn’t like it and their portions are just so small. My boyfriend had the salmon tacos which he also said had a bitter burnt taste due to the way they grilled it. The fries was the only thing good. I don’t like the way they grill their fish cause both times it was tasted like it was burnt, I thought it was just the brown rice that was hard to eat but the white rice was also hard to eat and tasted funny.
