Dr. Cohen is fantastic, she is thorough, smart, and understanding. It is true that she is a part-time doctor, but she is always available, and if you need to make a same day appointment and she is not there you are able to visit any of the other very competant doctors in the facility. All of my interactions with Dr. Cohen and my two children have been positive, I feel like she really love what she does and cares about my family.

My daughter had her first visit with Dr. Cohen at just one day old and the experience was so terrible I still think about it today and she is a year and a half. Dr. Cohen was rough, rude and vocally judgmental of our birth with a midwife, rolling her eyes and sighing. It was completely unprofessional. When she handled our ONEDAYOLDBABY roughly, causing her to cry, Dr. Cohen was visibly irritated and asked«doesn’t she have a pacifier or something?». I was shocked. Our daughter had mild jaundice and when I asked to wait a few days before getting further blood work to see if it would go away on it’s own since her levels were very low on the scale she told me I could be responsible for giving her brain damage and asked me if I would feel badly about that. I got a 2nd and 3rd opinion and both told me I would be fine to wait. I’m not sure why she chose to work with people at all, let alone children. She was completely void of compassion and should seriously consider finding another profession. This has bothered me for a year and a half and I think anyone considering putting their children in her care should reconsider. I am scarred from this experience.

i would not recommend dr. cohen to new parents who might have a lot of questions. i just had my first baby 4 months ago, and decided to go with dr. cohen as our family pediatrician. dr. cohen did not seem very interested during our appointments, which might be due to the fact that she’s a part time doctor. she did tell me during our 1st appointment that she did not reply to emails, and she’d only be in the office 3 days a week. which was a down side for me. as a new mom i felt like i needed to be able to have a doctor who would be available to answer my questions, or an emergency. during the appointments, dr. cohen never really answered my questions. she did not seem to know who we were whenever we’d see her, and would always ask us the same questions(breastfeeding or formula? pets at home? fire alarm? other kids? do you smoke?) this was very frustrating since i expect doctors to keep a file and know their patients. i also did not like the look of the office itself. the nurses weren’t very smiley, the secretary kept calling me mariah martin every time. i ended up switching doctors, and am much happier with our new pediatrician. pros: never had to wait more than 10 minutes for an appointment.

Lovely doctor. Pediatrics is exactly where she should be! I love that she carries her laptop around to each examination room. That is totally what I would do. My son thinks she’s pretty cool too. Which helps when you know this girl is gonna be asking him to turn his head and cough. Yowch! She wouldn’t leave the room at the end until Noah told her what he was gonna be for Halloween. Personable is a major star. She’s been Unilocaled. And it was fairly painless ;)
