Our room was dirty when we arrived. Based off my first impressions I looked for bed bugs, it was clear from what I could tell. There were stains on the carpet around the bed. Small pieces of toilet paper on the bathroom floor, which would not have been there if they had cleaned the floor. Random tape stuck to the back of the bathroom door, like someone had opened something and stuck it on there. We found empty plastic bags in the dresser, which wouldnt have been there if they had cleaned. Our rooms window had a drawing of a flower on it in the dirt from the outside of the window, window had no screen. The hot water took forever to get hot. No elevator in the hotel. The breakfast was good if you wanted a waffle, activia or cold cereal. That was the only options they had. wow We will not be back

Surprisingly good experience! We reached Parsons, KS around 7:30pm on a Monday and decided to pull over and find a decent room on Priceline(they have an iPhone app now!). The reviews for this spot seemed pretty good on Priceline and pretty bad here on Unilocal.I really needed a shower and a bed to sleep in, however, so I decided to just go ahead and book the room(~$ 80 after taxes and fees). We arrived about 15 minutes later(plenty of parking spots available!) and checked in. Cassi was friendly and told us they didn’t have any normal rooms left, so they’d have to give us a free upgrade to their suite(#127). Sweet! The living room had a/c, a fold-out bed couch, a mini fridge, a window, and a flat-screen tv. The bedroom had a/c, a giant bed, a chair, a window, and a flat-screen tv. The bathroom had a huge jacuzzi tub and all the usual stuff. Everything seemed clean and the bed was comfortable. We only spent about 20 minutes in their tiny indoor pool, but I’m still glad they had one and that it was open until 10pm. It was a bit cold but felt good because it was a hot day. We had some dirty laundry and had never used a hotel/motel laundry machine before, so we decided to get some quarters and buy a $ 1 Tide laundry detergent powder box from the front desk. The laundry machine was $ 1 but they got a new front-loading machine the next day so it’s now $ 1.50 per load. The dryer was $ 0.50 and we had to run it twice even though our load was pretty small(so dryer also ended up being $ 1). I woke up around 7:30am so we were able to make it to breakfast(ends at 9am). It was probably one of the better motel breakfast experiences I’ve had because they had juice, hard-boiled eggs, a lot of bananas, and yogurt. They also had things like waffles and cereal but we chose to eat the rolled oats and almond milk we brought with us. Check-out is at 11am and was really easy. We just handed them the key cards and got the printed receipt. Other amenities: Ice machine, Mrs. Pac-Man arcade game, vending machines, in-room safe(costs extra?). Noise: We could hear the rain and thunder outside! We could also sometimes hear people walking(upstairs?) but it wasn’t too bad/loud. Small issues: The bathroom sink plug had detached from the control rod, but my favorite chemical engineer was able to temporarily fix it. The bathroom ceiling had some round water damage markings. Improvements: They’re putting in new hallway carpets right now. They hadn’t quite reached our room(long hallway) when we were there but they’ll probably finish the first floor today.

Horrible motel. No elevator, and I have(2) 50lb bags I need to travel with for work. The rooms are not clean, haven’t been updated since the early ’90’s, and smelly. I was very cautious of bedbugs in this place(I travel every week, and never worry about them), but the sheets and matress seemed uninfested. The refrigerator was unplugged; the guest can choose between 2 of the following: Television, fridge, microwave, or coffee maker. Seriously, not even a power strip to split the outlet! I wanted to check out and go a few doors down to the Best Western, or up the road to the Sleep Inn. I’m now at the Sleep Inn, and am completely happy with it. Would NEVER stay here again… I’d rather sleep in my car!

For starters, the room wasnt very clean; toilet paper on the bathroom floor, filthy shower and food crumbs in the corner reclining chair. I left my new shoes there by the bed and called right away — probably BEFORE the room had been cleaned — volunteering to pay for them to be shipped to me. I didnt get a call back for hours, only to be told they werent turned in by housekeeping. what a crock! I plan on posting this review in every place possible, as well as call as far up the chain as possible. I called to let them know I would be making the report without even an apology. I will never use a Super8 again.
