Rodeway Inn & Suites

Decent place for a night’s rest. Stayed here a few times during business in the area. Rooms were always clean and the staff was always helpful. Never had a problem checking in and checking out. Definitely would stay again.

First all this is the cleanest hotel in Parsons Ks. Which is not saying much. The rooms were nice and had two queen beds. Do not know why they call it sleep Inn and suites because the did not have suites. TV is nice and room was somewhat clean. Toilet needs cleaned lid and underside was disgusting. Avoid the swimming pool I think the green water is not good for you. Will update after breakfast in the morning.

This rating and review could have turned out so differently if only a staff member was more engaged. This is a very nice modern Sleep Inn. Upon arrival there was no wait at the front desk and Brandon checked us in. There was the most adorable cat behind the desk with him, which was a treat for me since I have two at home. He check my colleague and I in quickly and efficiently. I ventured across the road to the truck stop kitchen counter for dinner and they did not disappoint with a great meal. However, when I got back to my room with my feast I realized I failed to pick up plasticware. Brandon allowed me to retrieve whatever I needed from the breakfast room, even though it was closed. The room was clean, and the bed was decent. However, I kept waking up during the night, well once my alarm went off and it was really time to go I realized why! The heat was not working in my room. Mind you it was 18 degrees out in the dead of Kansas winter. Talk about waking up on the wrong side of the bed! I went ahead steamed up the shower, because at this point it was time to get ready for the day, however upon checking out I let the gentleman at the desk know about what happened, and he basically told me that sometimes they had to «reset» their units in the rooms and that was «too bad». He never apologized that this happened to me, while acknowledging that this was a known issue for them. I am sure that a properly working heating unit would not be designed to work in this fashion. So I really expected him to apologize for my inconvenience, and say they would get it fixed so the next guest would not have this problem. Or if indeed their units need «resetting» occasionally, why not post information advising the guest of this. So this rating suffered tremendously because of the response I received. My colleague indicated that this gentleman was the manager or owner. Not what I would expect. Now in all fairness, my colleague stays at this hotel all the time, and she loves the place, and the staff… but my experience was lackluster
Also the swimming pool is a curious green color although I was assured that it was in chemical balance. Everything was ok at this hotel until I woke up!

The sleep Inn is a clean newer motel. The staff is friendly. The rooms are nice, the beds are not high end but comfortable. Morning breakfast is nice.
