Bedding Shoppe

By the time you visit three or four bedding stores, you’ll realize that they all sell basically the same beds. Where a bedding store stands out is with customer service, and that’s where the Bedding Shoppe shines. While most bedding stores see a constant roll-​over of employees, the two guys that work here will still be at the store two days after the end of the world. In all fairness, one of them is the owner, but you get the point. They’re two of the friendliest people you will ever meet and boy do they know beds… and bed frames, the different brands, the warranties, how the beds are made, how they wear, and so on. Maybe it’s just that all the salesmen I’d encountered at other stores knew almost nothing, except the prices. I was also impressed at their endless patience, as I returned over and over before making a decision. At no point did I ever feel pressured. That’s not to say they didn’t do their best to entice me with a great price and a few added items tossed in for free. In the end I purchased a great Stearns & Foster bed and a Mantua Rize adjustable bed which I love and can’t imagine living without. I returned months later with a question and Mike (the owner) walked up to me with a smile and greeted me by name. I almost wish my bed wasn’t made so well. I need an excuse to go back. Seriously, if you’re shopping for a bed, talk to these guys for five minutes and you’ll never even think of going anywhere else.

I recently bought a custom made (by a US vendor) solid wood captain’s bed from Bedding Shoppe. The customer service was excellent: Eric and Mike were very patient and helpful during my numerous visits to look and re-​look at finishes/​features. And the bed is gorgeous — well made and looks like it will last forever. I am using this in a tiny room for a young adult and didn’t want the typical flimsy kid’s storage bed that seems to have been designed to last just a few years. The bed was not inexpensive, but it is much, much nicer than anything else I saw in my thorough search (even at the same price point). We are so happy with this purchase. Great store, great product.
