I went to Custom Relaxation yesterday after purchasing a Groupon. I’ve been looking for a place to go regularly that is not only convenient, but also affordable. Anna makes this a very personalized experience. As the owner of the business, she has taken the time to really curb the experience to each of the client’s needs. The time begins with a sit down interview to fill out paperwork(pretty common in any spa or massage place) then an interview to determine your needs for the massage. You get to decide what scent of lotion is used on your hands and feet and pick out music for the room. There are ways to enhance your massage by adding aromatherapy and deep tissue, those are extra charges, but you can definitely keep this affordable to make it a regular experience. The benefit of this being a small business is that the owner seems to really get to know her clients. She seems to like what she is doing and the space is cozy. One drawback I noticed(and I’m sensitive to this… so maybe it will just be me) is that the walls are thin, so during my treatment I could hear conversation in the next room at the another business in the building. Not much can be done for this in a multi-use building. So, though upon first appearances pulling up to the place, Anna has done a great job on this place and I plan to go back and would recommend Custom Relaxation to anyone looking to check out a place for long term massage service.
