I called Mr. Appliance to fix my fridge that wasn’t cooling. They told me a technician will be at my house between 1pm and 3pm. I called in the morning to confirm my appointment, and everything seemed to be fine. The technician didn’t show up until 5:30 pm that day and if I didn’t call three times during that afternoon, I wouldn’t have gotten a call from them to tell me of the delay. They wanted to charge me over $ 800 to fix the fridge that only costs around $ 500. I will never use them again !

I called Mr. Appliance to have my current built in refrigerator removed and a new one installed. When I called I gave them all the information about size and told them they should send at least 2 men because it took 3 men to deliver the new refrigerator. They gave me an appointment and said they would remove the old refrigerator and put in the new one for about $ 160(as long as nothing unusual occurred). On the day of the appointment the technician called and I confirmed with him that he had help. He said yes and that he’d be here in an hour. Then I received a call from the office saying they only scheduled one technician and that once he gets here he’ll evaluate the situation and schedule me again with an extra technician. Then she told me they wouldn’t take the refrigerator away and an extra man was more money, but she couldn’t tell me how much more. Of course I was very upset and told her 2 men were needed so she scheduled me an appointment 2 days later. Five minutes later she called back and told me to call a handyman type service because they weren’t sure they could do it and she cancelled my appointment. What a waste of time. I will not call them again.

I called Mr. Appliance for what I thought would be a simple, inexpensive repair – replacing the internal lights in my Viking double oven. After 3 visits, with 2 servicemen at two out of the 3 visits, and a cost of $ 642 + 2 new circuit boards equalling $ 820, I was horrified, that right before the men left, they proceeded to blow one of the new $ 410 circuit boards, and walked out with the second. one! Not only did they not fix the oven lights, they created 2 fire hazards — now the ovens won’t go off at all… you have to go to the electric box in my basement to shut it off, and the external lights that tell you the oven is on, no longer go on! When I refused to pay the last bill of $ 304, because nothing was fixed, AND I now would have to purchase a new $ 410 circuit board, I asked them to have either their manager or the owner call me ASAP. No one ever called me back, and 3 days later, I was served a collection notice! I was also appalled that they laid their filthy toolbox, coats and iPad on my kitchen counter that I prepare food on, and where I put clean dishes. And when the worker lifted his jacket, he broke one of my husband’s delicate wine glasses!
