I had been going to this place for 30 years, used to be a classic sub shop. they started going downhill about 2 — 3 years ago, and after getting food poisoning twice, I stopped going. it’s been about 6 months, and decided to get a cold cut as I was heading somewhere and it was my only option, I mean how can they mess up a cold cut. well they did, it had so much oil on it, that the bread was saturated” and the meat just slid out, I couldn’t even eat it, and the taste was awful. needless to say, I will never return. The old woman that made this sub shop awesome, would be disappointed that who ever took it over has destroyed this place and their reputation

I went here today for lunch. I had 2 issues. The first was that there were 2 people behind me in line both of whom were greeted and their orders taken before mine. The lady who I ordered right after placed her order and paid in cash. The lady at the register gave her her change and then took my order. After I placed my order(an Italian coldcut) she proceeded to start making my order without washing her hands. I was highly dissatisfied and will never eat here again.

When we want pizza Casa Mia’s is the place in Parkville. We have always had great pizza from there among other things. The delivery time can be a bit lengthy but it is worth the wait.

I differ from my counterparts on this Casa Mias review thread for two reasons: 1– My review isn’t focused on the food because I never got a chance to order it 2– My commentary is negative & the customer service(or lack thereof) is to blame! Before I write a negative review, I like to visit a place at least twice & at different times to rule out a case of the«bad/busy nights.» Well one night I went on a Saturday night when they weren’t busy(as in phones weren’t ringing & no food being made) & my last and final visit was during a weeknight two eves ago. I will give this place an A for consistency in that they maintained their rudeness & blatant disregard for the customer though. On both times I walked in, stood away from the counter, then went to stand at the counter & still was not acknowledged. I’m 5’3 so I would think maybe it was my height but the loud bell that rings when you enter/exit kinda rules that out. The first night after standing for 3 minutes & reviewing the menu(still hadn’t been spoken to), I kindly asked about if there were any sub/fry/soda specials as that is basically a prereq for any good subshop, I was advised no after my second time of asking because clearly a 5’3 person must not speak loud enough in an empty store for anyone to hear me. I’m sure they heard me mutter & walk out the store shortly thereafter though. Second time I walked in & stood right at the front & waited to be greeted. After 35 seconds I still hadn’t been greeted & I made sure I had on my 3 inch heels so I could be seen. I kindly high tailed it out of there never to return again but only after loudly stating«apparently you all don’t like to greet paying customers so you just lost one.» Bah Humbug!

Sweet babies! This place has always been solid in my book. The cheese steak subs are the best thing here. Get it with everything. You will not be let down.

I have been driving past here for years — never stopped. The family always wants to go to Papas next door. Or Hales on the other corner. One day I was driving past and I noticed postal employees and police eating here. That is usually a good clue I thought. Plus they would have to be right to survive all these years next to Papas and Hales. I’m slow for the light bulb to switch on sometimes. OMG! By far the BEST shrimp salad in town. Extra large shrimp and huge portions. Must be old bay in the seasoning — so good. I am not a pizza guy but they were cranking them out. And the feisty girls behind the counter are a hoot. I had no idea what I was missing all these years — now I do. It is my new favorite carryout.

This is your typical pizza joint that also serves subs of different kids. Over the last week we have ordered from here twice just to make sure that it stayed the same both times. We started with a Lg pepperoni pizza the first time. The pizza is a good NY stile pizza with lots of cheese. However, the pepperoni was on the greasy side. The 2nd time we got a Lg mushroom pizza. The mushrooms were very good and we almost wondered if they were marinated mushrooms. Both times there was lots of cheese and the sauce is sweet but not overly sweet. We also ordered a cheese steak both times. My husband and I agree that its a pretty descent cheese steak for Baltimore. Its not the cut up cheese steak beef but the slices of it(like steak-um) Now I am not sure what else they have because both times we order with out a menu. I asked both times if they could send a menu with my food and both times they haven’t. I guess I will have to stop by one day on the way home and pick one up. Each time we ordered the person on the phone was very nice, answered questions and repeated your entire order so they would be no mistakes. My only con is that when we went to eat the left overs yesterday we were very displeased with the pizza. It was good the day we got it but we didn’t care for it reheated the next day. We really couldn’t pinpoint why but we just didn’t like it and actually tossed if after a few bites. However, the cheese steak was good reheated.
