Food is always good, staff is always polite and friendly. And of course, the rolls are addictive!

Texas Roadhouse just does not disappoint! Great service, good food and super fun atmosphere. I would come here just for the baked yam with all the yummy extra toppings, it is almost like a dessert! The staff has always been friendly and they genuinely seem to be having a good time at work. It can get a little noisy on the weekend or during a major sporting event, but we find you can usually miss the large crowds or the sports crowds if you go for lunch or an early dinner. Highly recommend you call ahead before you go just to cut down your wait time!

Never been to a Texas road house before visiting this one. But we were seated promptly. The place was packed but we only waited a minute, maybe 2 before ordering drinks. The drinks were delivered quickly. I ordered steak. Medium rare. This steak was absolutely top 3 steaks I’ve ever had in my lifetime. The prices were about what I expected and the atmosphere noisy, but it’s a steakhouse.

Ordered the Baked ½ chicken… Came out way under cooked – waitress mentioned that happens a lot(that’s wonderful, maybe someone should invest in a meat thermometer) so I ordered something else, a pulled pork sandwich… and it was nothing to get excited about. My husband had the pork chop dinner(which he usually gets when we goto a TR) and it was good for him. I’m not interested in returning myself.

The food is pretty good. The staff not so much. Many of the waitresses here are rude. My husband & I have ate here quite a few times. It’s not bad if you can deal with the rude wait staff. On our last visit, a couple weeks ago once we were seated we waited at least 15 minutes to be waited on. During this time we witnessed a manager checking on all the tables in our area except us. This was the straw that broke the camel’s back. We won’t be going back.

I am a grill snob, charcoal. There’ full disclosure. That said, the boneless 10oz. rib eye I had was quite good. I was surprised. A little thin and unevenly cooked, but for a chain, not bad. I prefer 1 ½ to 2 inch thick steaks and this was barely ¾ inch. How they managed to get it medium well in the center and medium rare(the way I ordered it) on the outside edges, I’m not sure. It was worth the price though. On par with other large steak chains like Lonestar and Outback.

Texas RoadHouse review 4.8.12 Please note: This will be written as an update to the prev. review. Please also note: We went on easter sunday. This may have an effect on employee performance. We went to be pampered and we were dissapointed. Our waiter was very pleasant and attentive and served us very quickly and got us situated quickly… in the beginning… We got our drinks and my side salad quickly. However the main course took a while, and the place was not very packed at all. I will get into the orders now: Order 1:(mine) Chicken Portabella: Mine was ok. Not as good as the other times. Not as filling though. I also had a loaded backed potato. It was fine but not as good tasting as the last times and rather small. Order 2:(sister’s): Sirloin tips: Hers were very tough and burnt. They were unedible for her. I tried one and it was hard to chew it. I had to spit it out because it actually hurt my jaws to eat it. Tips are supposed to be very soft and loaded with gravy and melt in your mouth… these did not. They were far from it. Her mashed potatoes were ok, nothing to write home about. We told the waiter that and he got the manager and he got out another plate for my sis and it was a little better but not that much. Prolly only 30−40% better, however, we did not want to fuss too much about it so my sis took it and ate it. It was ok but not the mouthwatering soft juicy Tips you are supposed to get at one of these places. Also tasted too much on the smoky jerky side and Tips are supposed to be on the fuller, wider, tasting side and be served with mushrooms and absorb some of the mushroomy goodness. The manager was nice but not very descriptive and not as informative as the manager at Longhorn Steakhouse in Morgantown, WV. He took 10 dollars off the check. The staff was not as thrilled to be here today and this could have been the reason why, however that is no excuse to give anyone else a bad time. My overall rating:2.5 stars My sister’s: 2 stars

The steak, beer, side salads and prices get a 4.5. The veggies/sides, service, and ambiance get a 3. So they get a 4. It isn’t a NY steak house, but it also is a much better food experience than Applebees or Fridays… I’d say the food is on par with Outback, yet much cheaper. The steaks are always good(keep them cooler than medium… they don’t seem to know how to cook anything more than medium properly — and you shouldn’t be eating steak that way anyhow). Beer is cheap. Everything is actually reasonably priced; I go often when in town for work with a coworker, and two of us eat steak, salads, and have a few beers each with a total bill under $ 50 total… The downside is, if its your birthday, they might make you ride a saddle. While wearing a big cowboy hat. Well, to me, that is a downside. Maybe you’re a little different. They have a few decent TVs around the bar, and the bar generally has a few empty seats if you’re looking to show that creepy business traveler look, or just out with a friend or two. The bar tables are nice — quick service and close to beer. Watch out for getting seated waaay back in the corner; it seems the service back there has 10 tables and always runs a little ragged.
