Great food, portions. I usually get the chicken curry spicy. Everything is really fresh and cooked to order.

We accidentally stumbled on Philipines Best Food while driving through Parkersburg while looking for a bite to eat. It’s not a large space but according to the owners they’re hoping to open a full restaurant next door to their location when the labor is available. The food is freshly prepared when you order and prepared with great care. If you’re not familiar with Filipino food this is an excellent way to introduce yourself and if you already are familiar with the cuisine treat yourself! Definitely worth going to.

My favorite accidental food find! Phillipine’s Best never disappoints, thanks to awesome food that teases you with its smell while you wait for it to be finished. I keep coming back for their Chicken Adobo and egg rolls. I will definitely be stopping here every time I come over to Parkersburg from Cincinnati now– and taking back extras for my friends in Cincinnati, since we don’t have any Filipino restaurants!

If this were closer to where we live, I think we’d be here every single day, possibly for multiple meals. The food is made to order, delicious, and filling. We haven’t had a bad dish yet-everything is wonderful! The ice cream is also must try, if you can save room. Both the taro(purple) ice cream and the coconut ice cream are very very tasty. Daniel and the other people who work here are delightful to talk to, if they aren’t too busy making their awesome food!

This place doesn’t disappoint with quality or quantity. You can get a very large amount of good food for $ 7. Teriyaki Chicken, Adobo Pork, Pansit Noodles, Beef Egg Rolls are all highly recommended. Often the wife and I will just split one entrée and just add an extra side of egg rolls.

Five stars! Absolutely AWESOME food. We found out about these guys when they sold food from a booth at the Wirt County Fair and now they are one of our favorites! Their place is a bit hard to find — behind a house on 7th street next to the Methodist Church. It’s a small, no-frills place made for takeout, but there’s a small deck you can eat at. There’s not a bad dish — all of them are good. Try it!

The food was outstanding! Love the people! Also love the fact it’s close to where I live and if I don’t feel like going out they will deliver! Will be eating here every chance I get!

This is authentic Asian experience! Food is excellent and very reasonably priced. There aren’t enough places like this. Very good food if you’re anywhere in the world. Amazing food if you’re in Parkersburg, WVA!

I wanted to rate this restaurant higher, but I could not. I enjoy trying ethnic cuisines in the area but I was disappointed. My friends and I ordered three dishes, kaldreta, adobo and teriyaki. We ordered two rice and and a noodles and we got three rice. We also ordered chicken adobo, but we got pork. The fried rice, I thought, was bland. The kaldreta beef was tender but dry and lacked sauce. The highlight of our meal were the springs vegeteble rolls. They were still hot and crispy after take out

This is an exceptional find. If you have never experienced Filipino food, this is about the best you can get without visiting the Philippines. If you know Filipino food you will find some great comfort food here. Great food at great prices.

I’m half Filipino and this food gets as close to my moms cooking as possible since I live far from her! I love this place! Super delicious food and very friendly owners and staff. Highly recommend for something different and tasty in Parkersburg. Very reasonable prices and generous portions.

This little Filipino restaurant was a nice surprise. Pork adobo was my favorite. The meat was tender and juicy and the sauce was flavorful. Got the veggie egg roll along with rice and noodles. This place is awesome considering the town is small and mostly full of chain restaurants. Highly recommend. The staff was very friendly. It was very small but I wasn’t bothersome.

At first glance, the street-side shack in a residential area looks pretty unassuming, but don’t let the size fool you; the food explodes with flavor and the owners/workers are full of charm. I got the beef caldereta, pansit noodles, and(3) pork egg rolls, and honestly have not a single bad thing to say. It was truly so much better than I could have imagined. The spice level is on point; I asked for 7-out-of-10 and it was spicy, but not so much to where I couldn’t taste the food. They portion size is huge! I ended up eating all of mine, but struggled to do so and regretting being that full afterwards. As far as dining there goes, they have two very small tables and 4 chairs if you plan eating inside, but they also have half a dozen or so picnic tables on the porch if the weather is nice. Living in Akron, Ohio I don’t come through Parkersburg very regularly, but you can bet your ass I will be stopping here every time I do!

Unexpectedly awesome food off the highway. We found it on Unilocal on our way home from vacation. The caldereta came with a pot roast type stew, garlic rice, and these awesome homemade egg roll things. All three of us loved our meals. Well worth the minor detour.

My husband and I wanted to try something different… Boy are we glad that we did! The ramen noodles were perfect and surprisingly NOT too salty. I had the pork adobo. Bernard prepared our food as we waited. The meat and vegetables were prepared fresh, no processed food! Phillipine’s Best is a small restaurant with big, bold flavors. Prices are very reasonable as well.

Terrific food! There’s really no place to eat because the place is tiny, so I recommend take out. I suggest the spicy chicken curry or pork adobo. The vegetable egg rolls(lumpia) are divine and the in house made sweet chili sauce is great. Give it a try. The owners are great.

We were looking for something a little bit different on our way to Ohio, and we came across this gem via the advice of other Unilocalers. Tucked just off Seventh Street in the heart of downtown Parkersburg sits an unassuming restaurant featuring tasty Filipino fare. The chicken teriyaki basically tastes like better mall Chinese food(and I mean that as a compliment). The chicken was well charred on a flattop, and the cabbage and mushrooms made it even tastier. The chicken adobo was even better… vinegary and sweet, with lots of bonus potatoes. The lumpia were a highlight of both dishes. Beautifully fried with a tasty sauce on the side. Pork and beef varieties were both great. Wouldn’t expect to find great ethnic food in Parkersburg, but this one is well worth the detour off of I-77.

The Filipino food here is legit! Not like my mom’s, but very close =P My mother in-law has been raving about this place since it opened, so I knew my next visit to Parkersburg would include a trip here. The place is carry-out only, so when you walk in, you are basically in the kitchen. They serve the popular Filipino dishes — pancit noodles, adobo, sinigang(tamariind soup), caldaretta(beef stew), lumpia(eggrolls), etc. They also have a daily special($ 5), which happened to be beef stir-fry the day we went. I decided to try out the chicken adobo which comes with eggrolls(3) and either rice, pancit, or rice/pancit. I got the rice/pancit. I couldn’t believe how much food they give you for $ 7! The to-go box seriously weighed like 10 pounds lol. The only thing I was able to finish was the pancit noodles. They were pretty delish! I kind of wish the adobo came with more sauce. My favorite thing to do at home is spoon the sauce over the rice… yum. Overall, this place is a great addition to Parkersburg. The food is fresh and the people here are super friendly. I felt like I was over at my relative’s house watching my auntie cook =)
