This was very disappointing. Waitress needs more training on how to make sure customers are happy with their meals. Filet mignon sent back and still raw and cold. Very disappointing bring for the price

Horrendous experience. Will NEVER be back. Party of 8 ready to spend a lot of money on wine and entrees. Made reservations and were seated at a table that was much more conducive just drinks, like a living room coffee table. We asked and were properly seated at a dinner table in an adjoining(completely empty) room. Why weren’t we given this from the very beginning? Waiter had maybe 3 other tables but was slow as molasses. After finally ordering our food and waiting 45 minutes for it we were told that one of the entrees was not going to be served because«there was something wrong with it» but all the other entrees were ready. Waiter was unapologetic. Our friends were so hungry and angry at this point that they chose to get up and go across the street to Tailgate Tavern which was fabulous! We were even charged for their soda!!! Bottom line: WAY over priced for food and(lack of) service. Save yourself and go to Tailgate for FANTASTIC service and outstanding comfort food.

I would do zero stars if Unilocal allowed it. This place was the worst! It used to be pretty decent until they fired Chef Demarco. We were just there and it was abysmal. I ordered the filet and it was rubbery and the sauce was under seasoned. Overall the experience was underwhelming. My friend went with me and she thought the wine was overpriced and too cold to taste. Won’t ever go back.

I went into Vines on Sunday and learned that Chef Doug DeMarco is no longer there. I was so excited when he started because we finally had a fantastic place to eat right here in Parker! His food was unbelievably fantastic, fresh and relevant! Now that he is no longer there I’m sure they will go back to their below average food like they had before. Highly disappointed! Guess it’s back to going elsewhere for my family and friends!

Awesome little spot with a nice selection of wine. The food was pretty delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable with the wines and food. I believe she was one of the cooks who was waitressing the evening we were there. Definitely will be coming back!

If you haven’t been in a while… Try it again! New head chef and he has turned it in to a place to have great food and wine now… Not just wine and run! Love the atmosphere here too!

If you haven’t been in a while you must go back. We went a few years ago and thought it was OK but payed them another visit a week ago and WOW things have changed. They have hired a new chef and he has turned the menu around. This place is no longer a tapa place they now have a wonderful food selection and fantastic dinners. This is now a go to spot for a great date night with the wife knowing we can enjoy great wine and even a better meal. Everything is so fresh and full of flavor. Next time you visit ask to speak to the chef(Doug) he loves to come out and meet his guests and hear what you think about the meal.

WILLABSOLUTELYNEVERRETURN… My friend and I went into Vines last night, July 15th. We had the MOST unpleasant experience due to the manager/Bartender. I’m not sure of his name, but he is tall, dark haired with facial hair, and extremely loud and offensive. For example, he very loudly was discussing how he believes that if a girl is menstruating, no matter what her age, he thinks she is old enough to have sex. He then was cursing so loudly non-stop, and singing to the bar area about how he was«an average Joe, with an average job, that has to serve white, suburban slobs for money!» At one point he came up to our table, in what I believe may have been an attempt to get our attention(as we were trying very hard to ignore his antics). He would not get the hint that we weren’t interested in engaging with him. He talked AT me personally for a few moments, which made us extremely uncomfortable due to his very erratic, aggressive, and offensive behavior. We were convinced he was on drugs – not even drunk – on major drugs. It was intimidatingly uncomfortable, to say the least. We quietly asked our waitress who, by the way was wonderful and very embarrassed and apologetic, if he was on something. We actually felt somewhat unsafe because he was so aggressive. She said«no» and that this was pretty typical. Unbelievable. We will NEVER return. It was disgusting. Absolutely disgusting… That being said, besides that person, I will say that the food was wonderful. We ordered a nice white wine, which our waitress recommended, the baked Brie, salads, and the tiramisu for dessert. All was delicious. It’s such a shame that we will never give vines a second chance after our terrible experience. And we both will be sharing this experience with everyone. It’s a shame…

Spouse and I have been here 3 times now. We stop in on our way home from the airport, after one of us(or both of us) have been traveling. It’s a nice little spot to have a good glass of wine and a bite to eat. We like the Bruschetta, the Hummus, and the Baked Brie starters — just right to share. Spouse has also enjoyed the Grilled Salmon(too salty for my taste). We usually fly in late on Wednesday or Tuesday afternoons, so it is a quiet stop before heading home.

My husband and I stopped by on a spring afternoon recently. We were quite pleased with the menu, the service, the wine selections and the staff knowledge of the wine list. We shared tapas and a bottle of wine. The staff seated us out at the sidewalk tables which were perfect. It wasn’t busy since we were there during off hours, but the service was attentive and efficient. We look forward to going back for a full meal sometime soon.

Yummy! Great place for tapas. The bottle of wine we ordered actually sold out so we were given the next bottle up for the same price as the wine we originally ordered. It turned out to be a great pick! Wish I remembered the name. We ordered a table full of different food and enjoyed all of it especially the brie! Service was great and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. It can be a great place if you wanted to bring a date or like us, just a place to eat and catch up with your best friends! Can’t wait to be back.

We are new to Parker and have been trying some new places. We decided on vines last Fri evening. We felt there were definitely pros and con’s. The wine menu was very good with many selections… bad is our waitress didn’t know the 1st thing about wine! I told her how much I was enjoying my red blend and her response was«really? I don’t care for that one, the one I like isn’t on the menu anymore » Then my husband ask about a white blend and her response was«I can’t remember what it taste like, its been awhile» The pro is the jumbo chorizo shrimp is amazing! The con is the price… we had 2 glasses of wine ea and shared 2 appetizers and with tip it was $ 90!!! Atmosphere is definitely not worth that kind of $$. Would be willing to try again for happy hour, but will probably be awhile. Our recommendation would be to train wait staff to be more knowledgeable of wines.

I think this place was okay… nothing spectacular, but a nice place to grab a glass of wine with my wife. If I had to suggest anything to make my experience better, I would recommend that employees move their conversations, and drinks, to the kitchen during operations. We waited at the bar for about 5 minutes before anyone came over to serve us, even through there were two employees behind the bar. I don’t believe they were servers/bar tenders, but they could have at least come over, acknowledged our presence, and let us know that someone would be over to help us soon. Instead, it looked like they were deep in some personal conversation.

The best day to go to Vines is on Wednesdays. They serve wine by the glass half off. Kevin and Lindsay work at the bar and are so nice. We go there enough that they and the other waiters/waitresses know our usual wine and food orders. The hummus, fries, and risotto are so tasty. And they have Infinite Monkey Theorem every week. The ambience and people make this place a great midweek outing.

Vines has been a favorite of mine since I moved to Parker a few years ago and still is, but there have been some changes lately that have not been for the positive in my mind. First, they no longer have the $ 5 appetizers on ladies night, which I REALLY loved, and they’ve taken a few of my favorite items off the menu. Second, I don’t like the house wines as much as I used to(they’ve changed obviously), and they have reduced the number of wines by the glass that are available. The place has never been cheap and that was ok with me, but without the specials and with fewer options I resent the pricing a bit more now than I used to. I think the new ownership took over almost 2 years ago now, and I do understand needing to make the place your own, but I really wish they would reverse a few of the changes b/c I don’t think they were for the better. On the up side — I still love the ambiance, I love that I can sit at the bar alone and read something and be completely comfortable, I love the brie fondue, I tried the spring rolls last week and they were really good, and the bartender Lindsey couldn’t be nicer. Still a relaxing place to spend a couple hours.

First the good The red wine blend was decent with a decent price. The atmosphere very nice The beef medallions good and very tender The mussels decent The caramel apple with bread pudding was very good. Good and bad — the baked brie was OK but served with crackers and should have been served with bread and fruit The risotto — I luv risotto but this mushroom risotto was creamy chicken broth with mushrooms. It wasn’t terrible, but not good. The bad The fondue I bet is powdered kraft mac n cheese cheddar sauce. So unbelievably powdery and disgusting. We asked the restaurant to remove the fondue. The ravioli is most definitely frozen with added semi bad sauce. The crème Brule is scrambled eggs with caramelized sugar. We live down the road but don’t know if we will be coming back, unless we just stick with the«good» part.

We were invited by friends to check this place out. They mentioned the entrees are just okay and a bit pricey. So we just did a few plates of their appetizers. We had the mussels, stuffed mushrooms, brie fondue, chorizo shrimp and pork skewers. Very tough to pick the best. All were very tasty. It was followed by the bread pudding and xangos(cheese cake in pastry dough). Very delicious. While it’s a bit pricey the apps and wine was very good. Service was fast and very good for a Saturday night.

This review is for one thing and one thing only on Vines’ menu: The Three 2oz flight of any wine-by-the-glass on their menu for $ 18. I got to taste and be wrapped up in three of my favorite wines(maybe not the right year but whatever); 1) ’08 Silver Oak Cab 2) ’08 Franciscan Cab 3) ’08 Infinite Monkey Cab Franc(100%) Holy dear Jesus was I a happy camper. Makes me want to crack open my personal stash of ’04 Silver Oak… Well, maybe. The wine menu is extensive for big red lovers like me. Crazy overpriced as any other classy wine bar though. I was surprised at the upscale-ness of the place, I had always passed by and thought it was a normal wine bar. But all the patrons were dressed up, the wait staff was much more professional than a normal joint and the fireplace and couches are still calling my name.

Went here for GP’s Birthday Party. Friday November 9th2012. All of us decide to order several Appetizers and Entrees to share among 10 of us. This establishment is indeed jam packed that evening with many patrons alike. The Birthday party reservation was for 18:30hrs that evening. Since there were 10 of us, they sat us at the«SOFA» section almost near to the Fireplace. From what I could recall these were the items we had and shared : * Mushroom Caps($ 6.00) The Mushroom Caps are filled with an assortment of Monterey Jack Cheese, and Tuscan Tomatoes all topped with Parmesan Cheese. We requested for the Mushroom Caps to be cooked without the Sausage. Our server comply to our request. * Artichoke Dip($ 9.00) The Artichoke Dip was House-Made Cheese Dip with Spinach and chunky Artichokes. It was served with Pita Chips. Before I could take the picture of this dish, it was long devoured by my GFs. * Cheese Plate($ 14.00) Several arrays of Cheese and Crackers. This dish comes with a Strawberry, Chopped Apricots, Figs and Peanuts. * Hummus($ 7.00) We opt for the Chef-Made Hummus with Roasted Tomatoes Served with Pita Chips. * Cheese Fondue($ 10.00) We opt for the Garlic and Herb Brie option. The Cheese Fondue is served with Cubed Bread & Crudités. * Mussels($ 13.00) The Mussels dish thankfully have at least 10 Mussels or more, so at least one of us get to taste One Mussels. The Mussels are a mixture of small and medium variety. This dish comes with a toasted bread. The Mussels dish was just A-OK. * Beef Medallions($ 18.00) It comes with Roasted Garlic Rosemary Mashed Potatoes. I so wish the Beef Medallions to be cooked well done. A little to raw for my tastebud. * Rock Shrimp($ 12.00) The Tempura Rock Shrimp is delicately battered and tossed with Spicy Aioli. It was served on slices of Jicama. * Lobster Fettuccini($ 13.00) Just the norm Alfredo Sauce. Only small bites of Lobster was found in this dish. Loaded with Fettuccini more than Lobster portion. Nothing fancy, nothing stellar to rave about. * Lamb Chop($ 18.00) This dish comes with a 6 oz Lamb Chop. The Lamb Chop is covered with Balsamic Rub. It was served with the Tomatillo Gazpacho and Risotto. For this dish, it was also A-OKay. * Grilled Salmon($ 17.00) + Risotto($ 4.00) + Sauteed Spinach & Shallots($ 4.00) The Grilled Salmon dish we opt for the Butter Fig Glaze. With 2 extra side dishes, we opt for the Risotto and Sauteed Spinach & Shallots. Just A-OKay. Some of my GFs, opt for wine as part of their beverages that evening. If I am not mistaken some of them also order Soda, Tea or Coffee. There were several servers who assist us since we have a big group. The evening went well. But at the later part of the evening, when we wanted to settle our check, our Main Server seems to be «missing in action» aka MIA from the scene. Hence for the check to be cleared it took awhile than anticipated. I want to like the Rock Shrimp and the Mushroom Caps the best coz they were so ADDICTIVE! I wish I could have more. But with the pricing, hmmm… With tips and tax, I contributed $ 30. Left this establishment at 20:35hrs. Would I return? A MAYBEBUTNOT In A Hurry coz with regards to the food and the portion is WAY Overpriced for my liking. *Sad Face* @12/2013

I have been to Vines twice since the new ownership and some of the changes I like(Bigger portions on entrée’s with the additions of 2 sides) but the reason for my drop from a five star to a four star is that their selection of wine has gone WAY down. My husband and I would stop by for happy hour which is great all wines by the glass are ½ off. We’d end up staying for dinner of course after a couple of glasses of wonderful wine. However … the last two times I’ve been there the options for wine by the glass are very slim. usually only 1 or 2 in each variety and both times they were out of several of the selections that were ON the menu. My marketing group also did a CASHMOB there this Monday… we like to support local and new business and thought we’d do a happy hour event there for them. It’s a surprise fun thing for the owner so we don’t tell them in advance just come in with a big group and pay cash… Only problem was. neither of the owners were there. We were quite disappointed since part of the idea is to meet and get to know the owners. Lee and Cheri the original owners were always there. at least one of them. Hopefully this is just them figuring things out and I’ll be back again just because I love the location and venue but for a wine bar. they really need a bigger selection of wines by the glass.
