The garlic knots were great and the waiter was a nice kid but that’s about it. My chicken parmigiana tasted like it was cooked, refrigerated, then cooked again(really seemed microwaved) which was very disappointing. I can tell the chicken has nice flavor, but it goes away when nuked. The waiter assured me it wasn’t microwaved but he couldn’t account for the rubbery texture or loss of flavor, he didn’t do anything about it either, but I didn’t care. I live close and this was my first time here so I was a bit sad that we didn’t find a close Italian restaurant for us to enjoy.

Will never go again. Ordered a pizza at 9:30 on the way home from the airport. Said, «will you be here by 10pm?» Raced to get there by 10 and they hadn’t even put it in the oven. Owner refunded our $ but didn’t even comp the pizza for our aggravation. Won’t ever go there again. Poor customer service.

Haven’t been to this restaurant since it was across the street from smokey hill high school. The atmosphere is a definite up grade! Our server was great by the kitchen needs help. I got my salad okay but when it came to the main course they forgot my dish. My parents got their’s fun but mine was forgotten. Here’s the rub on that… they used to make the BEST linguini and white clam sauce hands down. Was really disappointed in mine tonight. It was just meh. The waitress blamed it on the high volume of people but really it’s the kitchen not being a cohesive team and being able to produce the dish consistently. Have to give jut three stars because of this. Again extremely disappointed

Consistently mediocre and pricey for the quality. Recently my guest and I split a side Caesar salad, a small pizza, and an order of Tiramisu. The total was $ 25. With two glasses of wine and a tip the total would have been $ 50. The Tiramisu was so bland we both had only one bite. Not worth the calories. This place could be a great locally owned restaurant but the quality of the food seems like a chain.

This place is right down the street and we really wanted to like it, but the food just wasn’t that great for the price. Maybe we visited on an off-night, but I am thinking not from reading the other reviews. Four of us went for dinner and ordered three separate entrees. I had chicken fettuccine alfredo. It was really bland, although the grilled chicken was delicious. It was quite runny and even with salt and pepper added, something was missing. Another person ordered chicken parm, which was also very bland. The lobster ravioli(sounded great on the menu), but seemed like it was a Costco ravioli heated up. It was also bland and the lobster instead is pureed, so you really can’t taste it. I love that there are so many menu options so we were pretty bummed. Also the inside of the restaurant is neat. Maybe some more spices and different recipes would help the flavor? I agree with the others that the food is just blah with no flavor. I am also puzzled by the other 4 and 5 star reviews — maybe we ordered the 3 worst dishes. The service was okay. Our server forgot our appetizer(it happens). He didn’t even remember it. By the time our food came we didn’t want it anymore. We had to remind him at the end of the dinner to take it off our tab.

The absolute manicotti I have ever had!!! I can’t order anything else because it is so good. My husband gets the Pizza and he loves it as well. I know the rest of the food is good as well, maybe one day I will bring myself to try it. The only thing I wish is that they had call ahead seating, I would probably go more if they did.

A little on the pricey side for a casual dinner out, but if you’re looking for a special night out than this is the place to go. Service is great. Ambiance feels like Italy. Food is some of the best out there. I don’t go often, but when I do it is a real treat.

We ordered the fruiti di mare and the veal parmigana and shrimp romano plates. Sorry to say but it was BLAH. No flavor. The best flavor was the red dipping sauce for the garlic knots. Service was ok. Not great but ok. Get the red sauce because the white sauce was broth — not saucy at all. Even salt and pepper couldn’t help it.

First time here was late on a Thursday night. The inside of the restaurant is very homey and well put together. The staff aside from the owner were friendly and nice. The owner and his family sat at a table shouting at each other in Italian. Some may find this to be cute and authentic I found it loud and obnoxious. It ruined the first half of our dining experience. The food: we ordered the stuffed mushrooms to start. They were unremarkable to say the least. The mushrooms were greasy and slimy. They had a half lobster special that sounded great. I ordered it and was extremely disappointed. The lobster was stuffed with«crab». Which to me tasted about like what wet cat food would probably taste like. The pasta served with it tasted like something from a can. The best part of the whole thing was the steamed broccoli which is hard to mess up. The rest of my table said their meals were ok but nothing better than an average Olive Garden meal.

My husband and I love to eat here. We usually get a small pizza — one is enough for the both of us! The house wine is delicious and the service is great. This place reminds me of the family-owned restaurants my parent used to take me to when I was growing up. Give it a try!

I love Armando’s. The meatballs are fantastic and the four cheese pasta is killer. My husband loves the shells florentine and the chicken parmigiana is great too. Every time we have an out of town guest we take them here and every single one of them has agreed that Armando’s is awesome. The atmosphere is perfect for a date, a family dinner, and is even very kid-friendly. The service has always been very friendly and professional.

Well, that was disappointing. What a bummer — we went here this evening based on the reviews and while parts of if were good/ok, overall it was disappointing and feels like $ 100 down the drain. We are really puzzled by the 4 and 5 star reviews?! As for what was good — the mixed drinks, garlic knots, and antipasta were fine. As for what wasn’t so good and why we won’t go back… my chicken piccata was so buttery and oily that I could only eat a few bites. My husbands lobster and shrimp fettucine dish(I don’t remember the name) was just«meh» as the shrimp was very overcooked and rubbery. If our waitress(who was really sweet and trying) or the owner had asked how things were once we got our meal, we’d have spoken up but they never asked…(our waitress got busy and probably forgot and the owner said good night from the parking lot while he was on a cell call when we were on our way out, but that was it.) As a matter of fact, we were trying to talk ourselves into taking and eating the leftovers so they wouldn’t be just a waste, but decided to leave the containers behind on the table. Sorry Armando’s, we really hoped we’d love your little place — we love Italian and are always hoping for a quaint family-owned restaurant that will remind us of our travels through Italy but this definitely wasn’t it. A $ 102 lesson learned. :(

I went here recently with some friends. The atmosphere is very nice, a traditional Italian restaurant vibe. Service was friendly and efficient. I was unfortunately underwhelmed with the food. I ordered the garlic knots and the lobster ravioli. It was not a dish I would order again. The knots were greasy and heavy on the garlic, the raviolis were«fishy» and luke warm on arrival. The sauce also left much to be desired. I can’t say I would go back.

Lovely place! The food was delish and the service was quite nice. I enjoyed my meal and there was more than enough for two … so it was nice to have lunch the next day. I heard that the owner sings quite the song, but I wasn’t lucky enough.

I worked here for a short time, which makes me a little more biased in my review. My coworkers would sometimes handle the cannolis without gloves-ew. I stay away from the deserts as they are probably prepared by a teenager. Anyways, I love the food. It was way better when I worked there(almost 6 months ago), but still. For my boyfriend and I’s 10 month anniversary, we ordered 2 Penne Al Vodkas and a Chicken Parm, with 8 garlic knots to go. My uncle told us to pick him up some food as well while we were there, so that’s why we bought 3 entrees. We stopped at King Soupers to pick up some cider before picking it up. It was snowing pretty bad outside, so it wasn’t too busy inside. We picked up our food and made it home. Even after a good 15 minutes, the food was still very hot. The food containers keep them warm for the drive home. The sauce wasn’t as good as I remembered, but it was still excellent. I love the garlic knots. My boyfriend and I could barley eat half of our food– HUGEPORTIONS. Even better as left-overs! It was a very good night. We eat here very rarely because of the price. Overall– Armando’s is a great place to try.

Great food and amazing service! Owner was even working while we were there greeting and seating guests. I had the Penne Alla Vodka and it was delicious. My husband had them make an off menu item which was amazing they accommodated his request. A true Italian place! Great family owned restaurant would recommend to anyone.

On a whim we decided to stop here for lunch. All we ordered was soup and salad! Our soup came out cold; even the second time mine was still cold. This seems so basic to me — unless it’s gazpacho, I want hot soup to be hot. Pepsi tasted off, like no carbonation and the Mediterranean salad I ordered was just a Caesar with a few kalamata olives tossed on top. Not the caliber of place I would re-visit.

I have heard a lot about this place… lots of good things. Service: very friendly. made you feel at home right away. Gave us an empty bottle of ketchup for the kids meals and said«if you need more just let me know»…well it was empty so we asked for more but never got it. not a biggie. Food: Kids meals were good… pizza and chicken tenders. good almost borderline great. Cheese ravioli was 8 out of 10… very good and the meatball that came with it was huge and delicious. The seafood papa deli was 3 out of 10. The shrimp was rubbery and the crab tasted old and possibly out of a can. This was one of the specials of the night so the seafood might have been going old??? Was not a big fan of this dish. The eggplant rollatini was awesome… the hit of the night. this was a 9 – 10. Great texture and tasted great! Price: A little high for what we received. kids meals were in the 8 – 10 buck range… would normally see these in the $ 5-$ 7 range most other places. The pasta dishes were two or three dollars a plate high in my opinion. Would i go back? Absolutely… i will definitely try again and order something else just to see… is it better than maggianos? I don’t know… probably the food is better… but for the price??? i have to have a second try at this place…

Service was slow to get to our table, but the family atmosphere made up for it. There was a very limited draft beer selection. An Italian restaurant with Bud Light, but no Peroni? App sampler varied, and the kids enjoyed it. After having trouble ordering the Bogheri we settled on a 2008 Gabbiano Chianti Classico fml. Garlic rolls were fabulous, and the pizza was good. Be sure to try the onion strings. In short, good place for families with small children and patience.
