Something Else on Fifth

Used to love this store, but officially no longer a customer. Came in with my mother and her girlfriend who are both from out of town. They were searching for gifts and I was looking for clothes since they were having a moving sale. Bitchy queen saleman was eyeing them from the jump, clearly out for blood. They were browsing through stuff — by no means «riffling» through it — not folding it as perfectly as someone who works there would but certainly not leaving anything on the floor or being rude or disrepectful. Bitchy queen was dismissive and snotty the entire time, answering their questions about sizing with comments like «turn it over and read the tag» and when my mom walked out of the store, had the adacity to advise myself and another customer not to be, «like those women» who «asked lots of questions, messed up the store and then didn’t even buy anything.»
Obviously pissed, I then mention the «women» in question were with me, sending the mortified shop attendant into a rambling dizzy. He tries to backpedal, telling me that he had to «clean up» after my mom (a task I remind him is his job) and then starts complaining about customer responsibility (to do what, I don’t know) while frantically pressing incorrect prices into the register. Clearly, his opinion is only meant for those who might agree with him. No dice there. Sorry you have a 7.50 an hour job but don’t take it out on your customers, sweetheart.
I really hope the owners see this review and fire him. I am a loyal customer who has spent hundreds of dollars over multiple visits but I can never come back to your store knowing how myself and my family were treated.
