Oh Wow! What a great mani/pedi I had today. My technician was very attentive and accommadating! She even mixed two polishes to get the perfect color I was going for! What’s even better is they have a 10th anniversary special going on right now for a $ 19 pedicure. It was one of the best I’ve ever had. Very soothing and relaxing and my daughter also enjoyed her pedicure which perfectly matched her no chip manicure. We can’t wait to go back:))

Great mani/pedi place I’ve been coming here for quit sometimes and they been so good to me. Jackie the owner always treated me with good service. You just need to get to know jackie and she will get your service done in and out. Will definitely come back next time I’m around.

This place is the WORST!!! I’d always go there because it was so close to my house and work. This goes back a few years ago, before they had no chip services available. I brought my sister there and we were both getting Mani/Pedis. I had a no chip on my nails(most of which was picked off). They said they couldn’t take my no chip off because they don’t offer no chip services. I said«oh okay, no problem! Give me some nail polish remover and I’ll take it off!» they refused to do so. I was about to spend over $ 100 there and you couldn’t take off my no chip? I mean seriously?! I grabbed my sister and we left without spending a dime. Jackie is a b*tch and I feel so sorry for the employees that work there! Smileys is 5 blocks down Touhy! GOTHERE!

Have always had a great experience here. No frills, but staff is good and mani-pedis last. I love the owner. Clean place. it’s a deal!

Very disappointed with the service. No work ethics. Very fast and work done very poorly. No time to relax.

I have been here several times because it’s so close to my job and home and I really wanted to like the place. Sara who did my nails was lovely and professional! However Jackie the owner is and rude and appears to not care if you walkout, are happy or never come back. The first time I ever went to her shop I came in to get a massage for my friend and myself we were then going to get mani/pedis! I had a gift certificate for my massage and she told me she wouldn’t honor it because she had taken over the business and that was before her time. … I couldn’t Believe it and she wasn’t nice about it either. Then she didn’t even give us some money off all the services we had done! Well this Saturday put the nail on the coffin. I came in to get a mani/pedi and needed to get the nails off I’d had put on in Jamaica. I was talking to the nice male receptionist and she yelled across the room we don’t doing that here! The receptionist tried to smooth things over but she kept it up… I just left disgusted with her whole attitude. I honestly don’t know how she keeps her customers or employees with her rude condescending demeanor! I would be embarrassed to work for someone who is so rude to paying customers. SHAMEONYOUJACKIE!!!;(

I have been here many time and have never been overly impressed. After the last time I went I will not be going back. I had a morning appointment for a manicure and pedicure. When I arrived I was immediately placed in a pedicure seat with the tub filling and then left there. I sat there for over 40 minutes and no one came to me. The water eventually got cold. Someone finally came to do my toes and the manager sent someone to do my fingernails at the same time. It was awkward having the woman do my fingers leaning over me. She was not able to reach a comfortable position and the manicure itself was very rushed and messy as it seemed like they were trying to get it done quickly because they were so late. When I was done and my nails were drying, I mentioned to the manager that it had took so long and I was now very late for the lunch plans I made. He offered no compensation whatsoever and simply told me that someone hadn’t shown up for work that day. Needless to say I will not be returning. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the woman who finally did my toes did a very good job.

The worst nail salon!!! I spend there 2.5h, cause they didnt know how to remove no-chip manicure(I was partially doing it alone) and then after receiving no-chip manicure it chip off in 2 days!!! No-chip is suppose to stay at least 2 weeks! Never again!

Barely one star for this not so friendly salon. They advertise walk-in but only if its convenient to them. The owner Jackie has forgotten customer service and needs some reminders. While this may have been convenient in past — the lack of customer service and the scowl on her face make it a not so pleasant experience… unless you are one of the few customers she speaks to…

Their number has changed — you definitely want to make an appointment if you go 847−384−1880. Yes, it’s only $ 32 for mani pedi. I was a little flabbergasted when I heard the woman next to me ask for a nail to be fixed only to have her manicurist snap back, «I didn’t do it — I won’t fix it — not my fault.» I seriously could not believe her attitude! I would have been so so upset if that had been me. The woman working on me was a little better. When my big toe got all bungled — as I was carrying my own bag and navigating the wet floor and the pedicure stand — trying to get to the mani table — I asked if it could be fixed — since they were trying to get other people into the pedi chairs, I was told it would have to wait — then she just painted over the mess — and it was left all lumpy — I had to ASK about 10 minutes later, when it was obvious that the flaws would not be hidden, if she could actually take off the pad polish to fix the nail. There was a group of 3 women who came in together — I heard 2 of them complaining at the front just to each other about what a bad job their manicurist had done — I guess it really depends on who you get — since they don’t wear name tags, it’s hard to really recommend anyone in particular. On the other hand, the older woman in charge(not sure if she is Jackie) seems very accommodating and helpful. There are signs everywhere that they don’t want you to leave tip on the credit card which seems awfully cheap.

I made an appointment with a girlfriend to get our nails done. This was my first time coming here and the service was terrible. We felt rushed the whole time. During the middle of getting my nails done, I was asked if I could wait so that another customer could get started. Really? Not professional! I will never come back again. Not to mention my nails started to chip the very next day. Waste of $ 32!

For a $ 32 mani/pedi, this place isn’t so bad. Then again, I work full time, have two small children 3yr &3mo old and live within a 5 minute walk from this place. I’ve tried another nail salon closer to my house where I spent $ 30 on a pedicure alone and would recommend Jackie’s 10x over that one. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’ve spend excessive amounts on mani/pedi’s(prior to the two kids). If you want a lux experience and the atmosphere to match, this place is not the right place for you. Go else where and spend the $ 50+. But if you’re looking for something that’ll get the job done(knowing mani/pedi’s only last a week or two at best) this place works just fine.

I really REALLY wanted to love this place. It’s only $ 30 for the mani/pedi, decent location, and was able to get a walk-in with no wait. The first thing that irked me was the HARD and uncomfortable asian-style seat they have for the spa pedi. I couldn’t relax, there are no arms, and it’s like wtf? I get that it’s chic and cute, but I take function over form. Anyway, I put my feet into the tub, and there is noise as if something should be happening, but it’s not. I wait a lil bit and I tell the tech I think the tub is broken. She doesn’t look up, just says«no it’s not», and I wanted to reply with, not broken would mean there would be jet action about now. I bit my tongue and waited, and after several minutes, a pitiful motor kicked in and spurted out some meager bubbles. Sigh. The rest of the routine was fairly standard, and not thrilling. My feet didn’t look or feel all that awesome when it was all done, and now, four days later, my nails look like complete shit. She did a horrible job and I have cuticle hell happening. This is what I pay for a mani to AVOID. For the drying, there is nothing for your feet, so pray you don’t mess them out on your way out. For your hands, you stick them in an opening in their front desk, and a small fan bolted to the inside dries them. Of course, my nails smudged 10 min out the door. Sigh again. On the upside, the nail tech was very pleasant to be around, and she chatted a bit, which I appreciate. I did find it funny that when I asked if she could paint any kind of flower design on my toes, she was like«not really, we kind of suck». At least she was honest and didn’t put some crap on my toes and then charge me more money for it.

This place is only $ 28 for a manicure and pedicure and is within walking distance of my house. How the hell this didn’t end up being a match made in heaven, I don’t know. First off, I booked three appointments — for me, my sis, and her friend. All their techs were busy, and after half an hour they fit my sis’ friend in, which was cool, cuz the apppointment was starting only 15 min late. Then this chick walks in, says she doesn’t have an appointment, and starts going on and on about how she can’t wait. Well, they immediately set her up w/someone, right in front of me and my sis. Finally, we get up to leave and they say they can fit us in now. So I start, half an hr after my appointment, and my sis is still waiting around. Fifteen minutes later, after an hr of waiting and 45 min after her appointment was scheduled to start, my sister gives up and walks out, after muttering a few choice words in Italian. Of course, before my nails were even finished I had already decided I would never go back, but of course they double charged my credit card. Luckily I saved my receipt, but it took a good 10 min of arguing to get my money back. Never again.

I’ve been in a few times for a spa mani/pedi. $ 28 buckaroos! Good job, I think. But… I don’t like it when they ask me if I want to paint my nails, you know I don’t. Its not funny. Stop asking me.
