Dr. Dolan has saved my life twice. I have had multiple cysts that have formed on my ovaries, got infected and then created raging infections in my pelvic area. Both times that he operated and treated me, he was very direct, straightforward, and very focused on helping me to return to health. He brought in a compliment of other physicians including surgeons, and infectious disease specialists to try and find the root cause of my infections, and a urologist to provide me with comprehensive care. Dr. Dolan is a very well-respected physician by the staff and nurses at Lutheran General Hospital as many of the hospital staff go to him and or send family members to him. His approach is direct, and professional. He is compassionate, but does not show a great deal of emotion. If you have complex gynecological issues, including cancer, and you want to work with someone who is aggressive at treating your cancer, then I would highly recommend Dr. Dolan, and then bring a friend or family member with you for emotional support.

He’s a gynecological oncologist so I hope you never have to go to him. No bedside manner at all. I’m used to having great doctors who treat me like a human being despite my weight. This guy made me feel like dirt. I will not elaborate. Thank god I didn’t have anything really wrong(just enormous fibroids) but truth be told, I’d rather die than go back to this guy. Unfortunately, gyno oncologists aren’t too plentiful in this area so if I do get cancer, guess I’m dead!
