Cooks is what it is: a small liquor/convenience store in a semi-rural setting. The majority of customers are college kids, so don’t expect a huge selection of craft beer or nice wine. The customer service is always friendly, the soft-serv is cheap and delicious, and they always have a nice welcome sign on their marquee for college events. SIDENOTE: the owner of this place is a SUPERNICEGUY. We(the women’s rugby team at SMCM) sold 50⁄50 tickets at a basketball game one time, and Mr. Cook bought a buttload of tickets and when he won, gave us back all the money. AND he gave us a box of free miniatures when we ordered beer/wine for our big rugby shindig at the end of the year! Amazing.
