Downtown Park Forest is a hidden gem. There are many stores for shopping, a movie theater, a gym, two art galleries, the Illinois Philharmoni, a restaurant or two, and a well-​maintained community court/​park for leisure days. A farmer’s market is held just off Main Street and one of the largest outdoor art fairs takes over Main Street annually in September. There is also a dance school, art school and music school in downtown PF. The PF Library and PF Aqua Center are nearby. There is much artistic and active culture here.
